• Before connectingthe appliance to electrical
power supply, leave itstand for about 2hours,
whichwil_reduce the possibility of malfunctions
inthe cooling system due to transport handling.

user. They describe the appliance and correct
operating procedures for safe use. SAVE THESE

• If you have bought this appliance to replace an
old o_e equipped with a door lock that cannot
be opened from the inside (lock, bolt), make
sure that the lock is removed, disabled or
destroyed before discarding. This will make
it impossible _orchildren to accidentally lock
themselves inside the appliance and suffocate.
,bThe appliance must be properly connected to
an electrical power supply. (see: Connection to
Power Supply).
,, If the food has a strange stool; or (:olor,throw it
away, because it isvery' likely that it is spoiled
and therefore dangerous to consume.
•AIways disconnect the appliance from the
power supply before cleaning the appliance,
replacing the light bulb and/or attempting
repairs. WARNING: repairs should be
performed by qualified so.ice personnel
• Do not defrostthe appliance with otherelectric
appliances (for example a hairdryer) and never
attempt toscrape/remove iceffrost withsharp
objects. Use only enclosed tools or tools
recommended by the man ufacturer.
• For the sake of environment protection-be
careful not to damage the rear wall ofthe
appliance (i.e. the condenser unitor related
tubing - when moving the appliance) or any part
of the refrigerating system inside the appliance.

Place the appliance in a dry and regularly
ventitated room. Allowed ambient temperature
depends on the model {class) el the appliance
and is stated on the rating plate of the appliance.
Never place the appliance near heal emitting
devices {e.g. cooking appliances, radiators, water
heaters or similar devices} and do not expose to
direct sunlight.

The applianceshould be positioned at least 3 om

at least30 cm away from oil or coal fired stoves.

fitted onto the upper edge of the condenser,
thus preventingthe appliance frombeing
installed too close to the wall Spacers are
manufactured for all-purpose function
depending on the distance of the condenser
from the wa[i. Therefore turn spacers
correspondingly and fix them to the appliance.
For your personal safety, this appliance must
be qrounded. In the event of a malfunction or
breakdown, grounding will re6uce the risk of
electric shock by providing a path of least
resistance for electric current. This appliance
is equipped with a power cord having an
equipment grounding conductor and
groundMg plug. The plug must be plugged
into an appropriate wall outlet that is installed
and grounded in accordance with all existing
local codes and ordinances. Consult a
qualified electricMn or seviceman if the
grounding instructions are not clearly
understood, or if doubt exist as to whether
the appliance is properly grounded.

(1) Tempered Glass Shelves (5)
(the number of shelves depends on model)
Shelf can be optiona]iy placed on the guides
insidethe appliance. It is protected against being
pulled out accidentally. If you want to remove a
she[{, s]ightly Iift _p the back part and pull it out
Perishable foods should be stored towards the
back/rear of the shelves. Le. the coIdest part of
the shelf.
(2) Defrost Water Outlet
The interior of the refrigerator is cooled with
cooling plate hcerporated in the rear wall, Under
the plate there is a channel and an outlet for
defrost water.
Regularly check the defrost water outlet and the
drain channeEfor blockage. They should always
be kept lree and c_eanof food particles, if the
drain outlet does become clogged, use a plastic
straw to clean it,
(3) Fruit and Vegetable Crisper
The crisper drawer ison the bottom ofthe
appliance under the glass shelf, it provides
adequate humiditywhich has a mere favourable
effect on fruits and vegetab]es. (less
dehydration).
Door Liner
The door linerconsists of various shelves or
holdersused for storingeggs, cheese, butter and
yogurt as well as other smaller packages, tubes,
cans etc.

The tightfor illuminatingthe interior of the
refrigerator is on, when the door is opened, off
when the door is closed,
Wine/Bottle Rack
Wine/Bottle rack is intended for storage of
bottles, There are two instalJation positions
available {horizontal or lifted in the font) thus
enabling the positioning of bottles on the stopper
as we[l. To remove the rack, lift up the rear and
pull forward.
Warning[
When slodng longerbottles,install the rack on
the higher position to avoid disturbing closing of
the inner door liner (vessels, bottles or food
stored in the door),however positioning of the
rack on the shelf guides in the appliance is
optior_a[.

Proper use of the appliance, adequately packed
food, correct temperature and takLng into account
hygienic precautions wili substantially influence
the quality of the food stored.
• Foods to be stored in the refrigerator should be
propedy packed so as to prevent mixing various
moisture degrees and odors (in polyethylene
bags or sheet, aluminium foil, wax paper, or
stored in covered containers or bottles).
• Before storing food in the refrigerator, remove
excessive packaging (like yoghurt in multi-
package}.
• Pack systematically and make sure that
foodstuffs do not touch each other (various
odours may mix). Assure adequate air
circulation around packages.
• Never store flammable, volatile or explosive
substances.
• Beverages with high afcohol percentage shall
be stored in tightly sealed bottles in vertical
position.
• Food should not touch the rear walEof the
refdgeratod
•Foods shouldbe cooled down before storing.
,, Crispy and dei[cate foods should be stored in
the coldest parts of the refrigerator.
,=Try not to open the door too often.
Set the thermostat to a settirtg where ]owest
temperatures are reached. Set the thermostat
gradL_ai[yso as to avoid freezing of foods.
Use a thermometer and measure the
temperature in the individual compartments.
Placethe thermostat in a glass vessel filled with
water. Temperature readings are most reliable
a few hours after a steady state condition is
reached.
Some organic solutions likevolatile oils in
lemon and orange peel, acid in butter etc, can
cause damage when in contactwith plastic
surfaces or gaskets tor longperiodsof time.
• Unpleasant odors inside the refrigerator isa
sign that something is w_'ongwithfoods orthat
your refrigerator needs cleaning. UnpLeasant
odors can be eliminated or reduced by washing
the interior of the refrigerator with a mild
solution of water and vinegar. We also
recommend using activated carbonfilters to
clean the air or to neutralize o_ors.
•If you planning a long journey, make sureto
remove perishable a_icles of food out of the
apptiance before you _eave.

Maintenance and Cleaning

There is no need to def_ostthe refrigerator,
because ice depositing on the innerback wall is
defrosted automatically.
Ice build-up on the inner back wail during the
compressor operation; wiii(when the compressor
has cycled off) defrost automatically. Defrost
water c_f[ects inside the drain trough passing
through the drain outletin the inner back watl into
a drain pan situated above the compressor, from
where it evaporates.
If you do not intend to use the appliancefor long
lime periods, (vacations) set the thermostat knob
to the STOP (0) position, disconnect the power
supply, _akeout the foods and defrost and clean
the appliance. Leave the doer slightly open.
Disconnect the power supply before cleaning
the appliance.
Do not use coarse or aggressivecleanir_g agenls
as you can damage the surface.
-C_eanthe exterior with water and _etergant.
• Remove the detachable accessories in the
interior of the appliance and clean with watec
and liquid detergent. Plastic parrs cannot be
washed in dishwashers.
•Wash the interior of the appliance wilh
]ukewacrnwater, adding erie or two spoonfuls of
vinegar.
•Every now and then _pe the condenser on the
tear wa_].Use soft non-metal brush or vacuum
cleaner.
• Clean the dra_n pan on the refrigerator
compressor. Do not remove the dra_npan!
After cleaning, connect the app[iance to power
supp[y and reload it.

Changing the Direction of the Door Opening
1fyou find the direction of opening the door on
your appliance inconvenient, you can change it.
Holes on the opposite side have already been
prepared in the factory.
•Take off the upper hinge cover, unscrew the
hinge and take off the door of the appliance.
_,Unplug the holes covering the holes on the
opposite side of the appliance or the appliance
door.
• Take off, change and replace the door hinge
fixture and the fixture ptugs.
L,,Press the Kick-plate downwards and draw it to
yourself.
• Unscrew the lower hinge and fix it to the
opposite of the appliance and put on the doer.
• Fix the upper hinge and cover it.
•RepEacethe cover prate o4the lowerhinge to
the opposite side of the kick-plate and fix it to
the appliance.
• In case your appliance is equipped with a
handle mounted on the side of the appliance,
take it off and replace it on the other side.
Some screws are covered with caps. Take
them off before undoing the screws.
• Plug the remaining holes with decorative caps.
• Check the gasket, it shouldn't be creased and it
should seal well.
