daudio
Introduction
The daudio AMP is designed to meet the needs of customers who demand the
utmost in control and musicalit from their their daudio loudspeakers. It contains
two 400W power supplies which can deliver a total of 800W continuous and 1200W
peak power. The amplifier modules are each able to deliver 250W to 4Ω, 180W to 8Ω
and a peak current of 14A. As a result, even speaker impedances of 2Ω are no
problem. You can choose for 2 or 4 amplifier modules (2 x 250 W or 4 x 250 W). The
state-of-the-art amplifier technolog achieves an efficienc of 92%. Therefore no
heav heat sinks are required, the small aluminum enclosure is sufficient to prevent
the temperature from rising too high.
The amplifiers are equipped with special input stages developed b daudio. These
input buffers / preamps have an almost immeasurable distortion of 0.00003%. The
are equipped with a separate discrete power suppl . The discrete power suppl is
much faster and more silent than the standard power supplies which are found In
virtuall all audio electronics even if the are of top qualit . The result is an amplifier
that possesses all the qualities needed to both control heav low-impedance woofers
as to offer utmost sophistication for the highest frequencies.
Depending on the configuration that ou purchased, the amplifier contains 2 or 4
amplifier modules and 2 or 4 inputs. This gives three possible configurations:
1. The 2 x 250 W stereo amplifier which is able to deliver large peak power to ver
low loudspeaker impedances.
2. The 4 x 250 W stereo amplifier which is able to drive two large woofers per
channel, for even lower distortion and improved control.
3. The 4 x 250 W double stereo amplifier. If ou chose this configuration there are
basicall no additional amplifiers needed to drive the daudio loudspeakers.
Electrical safety
On the inside of the housing of electronic equipment, high AC and DC voltages exist.
The case should therefore not be opened. daudio accepts no responsibilit for
injur or damage caused b opening of the housing or b connecting to a power
suppl voltage other than 220/230Vac 50Hz.
The amplifier needs sufficient space around the housing (at least 2" around) and
placed on feet 0.6" high, to enable sufficient heat dissipation at high ambient
temperatures.
