INTRODUCTION
Congratulations on your purchase of this dehumidifier. Please read this
instruction manual carefully before you use this dehumidifier.
Drier air offers greater comfort at higher room temperatures. Lower humidity
reduces growth of mold, fungus and bacteria, while creating a more conducive
environment for storage of most applications.
Besides human comfort, Dry Air storage is used for numerous applications,
such as Strong rooms, Libraries, Electronic equipment rooms, Hospitals,
Pharmaceutical Storage Areas, Archives, Laboratories, and for other
hydroscopic material applications.
Bacteria & mould requires a high humidity to survive and multiply. If the
humidity is kept below 50 % RH, this will not occur.
Corrosion – Iron and steel will not rust if the air in contact with the surface has
humidity below 50 % relative humidity.
The air is laden with moisture, however the volume of moisture able to be
carried at any given temperature is limited (termed saturation vapor (content).
Beyond this, vapor returns to liquid (water) state from its gaseous state
Based on this principle, an air conditioner and a refrigerant dehumidifier cools
the air, lowering the saturation level and thereby promoting condensation.
However, an air conditioner is controlled by its thermostat which is less
effective and less efficient while a dehumidifier is controlled by a humidistat or
hygrostat which provides the desired humidity level.
Relative Humidity is a measure of how much moisture is in the air. It is the
ratio that indicates the ability of the air to absorb more moisture, expressed in
percent (%RH). For more information, see also specific/ absolute humidity.
The lower the percentage in RH, the lower the moisture content in the air and
the greater the air's ability to absorb more moisture. When the air reaches
100% RH, it reaches its saturation point and the water vapor turns to liquid,
forming droplets of condensation

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1. When using electrical appliances always apply basic safety precautions to
reduce the risk of electrical shock, fire or injury to persons.
2. If the electrical supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, its service agent or similar qualified persons.
3. Do not connect unit to any AC electrical socket that is damaged.
4. Use only a 220 – 240 Volt outlet.
5. Always switch off at the power socket when not in use and before
unplugging.
6. Do not use in the following locations or similar:
Next to source of heat e.g. a radiator or heater, tumble dryer etc.
An area where water is likely to splash
An area exposed to direct sunlight
7. Never insert your finger or other foreign objects into grills or openings.
Take special care to warn children of these dangers.
8. Always store the unit upright in order to maintain the compressor in
proper working condition. Leave the unit upright for at least 30 minutes
before operating.
9. Always unplug the unit before cleaning
10. Remove filter and clean with vacuum cleaner or wash with mild detergent.
Do NOT wash with hot water or in washing machine or dish washer. Do
NOT dry under direct sunlight.
11. Do not spray water on the dehumidifier
12. Empty the tank before moving the dehumidifier
13. The unit is fitted with an auto defrosting operation and starts when the
evaporator generates frost. The function ensures continuous running
when the temperature is down to 5˚C.

CONTROL/ DISPLAY PANEL
1. Important note – leave dehumidifier upright for at least 30 minutes before
operating.
2. Connect to power outlet and switch on. The indicator light will flash.
3. Press “ON/OFF” button once, “power” indicator will stay lit and the
“HUMIDITY%” display will show the room humidity level.
4. Press the “UP” or “DOWN” button to set the desired humidity value.
5. The dehumidifier will start to operate if the room humidity is higher than
set value. Otherwise it will not operate.
6. The 2-speed fan will start running, followed by the compressor after
approximately 3 minutes. This is a safety procedure.
7. HUMIDITY SETTING – Set Value moves by 5%
8. When Set Value is below 26%, the sign “CO” will appear on the screen
indicating Continuous Operation.
9. TIMER OFF- On running mode, press the Timer Off button to set Timer.
The Timer On LIGHT will flash and the Display Screen will show the
selected time. Press the “UP” or “DOWN” button to select the desired
time between “0” to “24” hours. The Buzzer will sound if there is no
operation for 5 minutes, and the TIMER OFF Light will turn on. Pressing
the TIMER OFF button again will cancel the setting.
10. Panel LOCK function – Press “UP” and “DOWN” button together for 2
seconds to lock the current setting. Screen will display “LC”. Repeat same
operation to release lock function.
11. Automatic DEFROST mode – When the room temperature is lower than
15*C or the evaporator coil temperature falls below 2*C for more than 10
minutes, the unit will automatically Defrost. In this mode, the compressor
will not run but the fan will continue running. The compressor remains off
until the coil temperature rises to 10*C for more than 10 minutes.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Removing Collected Water
1. When the water container is full and the unit stops operating, the water
FULL indicator light will LIGHT UP.
2. To empty water container, gently remove the container and empty the
water. Ensure components of water tank are correctly positioned.
3. The machine will re-start when the water container is placed in its
corrected position.
4. Do not remove the water container while the machine is still working. This
may cause water drip to wet your floor.
To install hose for Continuous Drainage
1. Locate stopper at LEFT side just above water tank cover door. Remove
stopper and replace with hose of approximately 13mm diameter.
2. Direct the hose to drain outlet or outside of room.
3. Ensure there is no kink or drastic bend on the hose.
4. CAUTION – Do NOT discard stopper. Replace with stopper each time the
hose is removed. (for water container collection mode)
MAINTENANCE
Important –
Ensure power plug is disconnected and unplug from electrical socket.
Do NOT use petrol, thinner or other chemical cleaners to clean unit.
Do NOT wash the unit directly under a tap or hose. This is unsafe and
electrical components may be damaged.
Cleaning Exterior Parts
Use a mild soap and water solution to clean exterior parts if necessary. Dry
after cleaning.
Cleaning the filter
The air filter is removable and washable. Remove the air filter located at the
back of the dehumidifier. The filter should be washed with mild soap solution
and water. Allow the air filter to dry before reinstalling. Torn or damaged
filters should be replaced. The filter should be cleaned at least once a month
or more frequently if used in dusty conditions.
