BEFORE FIRST USE
1. Remove all packaging materials. Locate all included parts
before discarding the box.
2. Clean the grill and griddle plates with hot water,
dishwashing liquid, and a non-abrasive sponge.
3. Wipe the inside and outside of the unit with a soft cloth.
CONTACT GRILL POSITIONS
The grill has three positions open and flat, open, and
closed depending on the type of cooking taking place.
-To lay the unit completely flat for a full grill, first
locate the hinge release lever. (See below). Slide the
lever towards you and push the handle back until the
cover rests flat on the counter. In this position food
should be cooked on MAX. Note cooking time will
increase and the temperature will decrease in this
position compared to the unit being closed. This
position is ideal for reheating or keeping food warm,
but it also useful for cooking things that do not
require higher heat.
-For the closed position, perfect for vegetables or
meat, the top of the grill will adjust on a swivel to the
level of thickness and close. During this position, the
handle should be pressed down periodically during
cooking to ensure even heat distribution.
-To keep the grill open, lift the handle until the top grill
locks in place.

USING THE APPLIANCE
1. Place unit on a level surface and insert desired
plates. Make sure that the drip tray on the back
side of the unit is installed before use.
2. Insert the plug into an electrical outlet. The power
light will turn on.
3. The unit will need to preheat for 3-8 minutes, in
the closed position on the MAX temperature. The
heating light will then turn off once it has reached
the max temperature.
Note: Do not preheat for more than the suggested time
to avoid damage to the coating of the plates.
4. Place food on the unit. The food should be cooked
on the MAX setting then if desired turn the
temperature down. (MIN being the least heat and
MAX being the most heat.)
5. Once cooking is complete unplug the unit to turn it
off.
6. Make sure to clean out the drip tray after each use
with soap and water.
7
