among other information, important information regarding safe set-up, use
and maintenance.

- It is essential to respect the prescriptions of use of this manual.
- This appliance is only developed for a domestic use to heat up water. If it is used wrongly,
or for professional purposes or semi-professional purposes, or if it is not used according
the instructions in the user manual, the warranty is void and Dejelin accepts no liability for
caused damage.
- This appliance can be used by children as from the age of 8, provided they are supervised or
they received instructions regarding the safe use of the appliance and they understand the
dangers involved. Store the appliance and its electrical cord out of reach of children under
the age of 8.
- This appliance can be used by persons with insufficient physical, sensory or mental abilities
provided they are supervised or they received instructions regarding the safe use of the
appliance and they understand the dangers potential.
- Children may not play with the appliance.
- Check if the mains voltage matches the voltage mentioned on the rating plate of the
appliance.
- Completely unroll the electrical cord.
- Before use, check if the electrical cord is in perfect state. If it is damaged, it must be
replaced by a professional of a Dejelin Authorized Service Centre.
- Always plug in the appliance into an earthed wall socket meeting the applicable electrical
safety requirements. Should an extension cord be necessary, use an extension cord with a
build in earth connection and with a nominal rating sufficient to support the power supply of
the appliance.
- In order to avoid a power grid overload, don’t plug in any other appliances on the same
circuit.
- Never leave the appliance unattended when it is plugged in.
- Never pull the electrical cord or the appliance itself to unplug.
- Imperatively unplug the electrical cord of the appliance in following cases:
- After use
- Before any cleaning or maintenance
- In case of malfunction.
- Place the appliance on a flat, horizontal, dry and non-skid surface.
- Don’t place the appliance on the edge of the table or counter to avoid tilting.
- Make sure the electrical cord and any potential extension cord is not located in the
passage to avoid any tilting.
- Never move the appliance when it is working.
- Never use the appliance outdoors.

- Never use the appliance nearby a water source.
- Don’t place the appliance nearby a heat source and avoid for the electrical cord to touch
any hot surface.
- The cleaning and maintenance by the user should not be performed by children, unless they
are older than 8 years and under supervision of an adult.
- Never immerse the appliance into water or any other liquid
- Never handle the appliance with wet hands.
- Never clean the appliance with abrasive chemical products.
- It is recommended to examine the appliance regularly. To avoid any danger, never use the
appliance if the electrical cord, the plug or the appliance are damaged, but bring it to a
professional of a Dejelin Authorized Service Centre for control and/or repair.
- In case of failure or malfunction, the appliance should be repaired by a professional of a
Dejelin Authorized Service Centre.
- The appliance gets hot when in use and stays hot for a certain period of time after use.
Only handle it by its handle.
- Beware of the hot steam coming out of the lid and the spout.
- The appliance may not be used with an external timer or a separate remote-control
system.
- In order to avoid any fire risk, place the appliance on a heat resistant surface and keep it
at least 20 centimetres from the walls.

SPECIFIC SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
BEFORE FIRST USE
IMPORTANT NOTES
- Never immerse the base, the
electrical cord nor the kettle in
water or any other liquid.
- The control buttons, the digital
display as well as the electrical
contacts never may be exposed to
humidity.
UNPACKING
- Unpack the appliance and remove all plastic bags, cartons and protective paper.
- Keep the packaging
- Keep the plastic bags out of reach of children.
- Also remove possible self-adhesive labels which might be put on the appliance or any other
information leaflet.
- Don’t put anything on the lid. The space above the appliance must be clear.
- The appliance should be protected from frost. Never leave it in a car in winter, or in any other
space subject to frost, to avoid any damage.
- Never fill the appliance through the spout when it is on its base.
- It is important not to get the handle, the control buttons and the digital display wet during
cleaning and maintenance.
- Never fill the kettle above its maximum limit (1,7L).
- Never let the appliance work when empty.
- This appliance is only meant to heat water. The use of any other liquid or food is strictly
prohibited.
- Never insert any object in the openings of the kettle.
- Make sure the base and the bottom of the kettle are completely dry when plugging in the
appliance.
- Always use this kettle with the provided power base.
- Always use the appliance with closed lid. Never open the lid when the kettle is heating.
CLEANING
1. Remove the kettle from its base.
2. Open the lid (2) by pressing the button (1).
3. Rinse the inside of the kettle with hot water, without
getting the handle wet.
4. Completely dry the outside of the kettle
5. Push to close the lid (2) and place the kettle back on
the base.

1. The kettle is equipped with a removable
anti-scale filter (9). It stops potential scale
residues when you pour the water. Check
it is correctly placed before using the
appliance.
2. Fill the kettle up to the desired mark.
The water level indicator (6) indicates the
quantity of water in the kettle.
ADVISE
Oo obtain a precise temperature, fill with
minimum 350 ml water. However, you can
also use the appliance with less water.
3. Close the lid (2) with a simple press.
IMPORTANT NOTES
- Never fill the kettle through the spout (10).
-When filling the kettle, it is important to keep
the handle, the selection buttons (4a and 4b),
the ON/OFF and the display (3).
- Never exceed the maximum level (1,7L). Too
much water could lead to risks of projection
out of the kettle.
USE
4. Plug in the electrical cord.
5. Place the kettle on its power base (7). If the
temperature of the water is inferior to 30°C,
the indication <<--->> will appear on the
display (3).
6. With the help of the temperature selection
buttons ) and ( ) select the desired
temperature (from 50°C to 100°C by steps of
5°C). The selected temperature will appear
during 6 sec. maximum.
NOTE
Use the temperature button ( ) to
decrease the temperature compared
with the shown temperature or the
button ( ) to increase.
7. Within 6 seconds, press the ON/OFF
button (5) to start the heating cycle. You
will hear a sound signal, the indicator light
“ON/OFF” will automatically switch on.
As from 30°C the real temperature of the
water will appear on the display (3) and
will increase until the desired temperature
8. When the temperature is reached, a
sound signal will be heard. The function
“Keep Warm” automatically will activate
for 30 min. with possibility to change
the temperature around the selected
temperature. (cf. section “Keep Warm”
below).
9. After 30 minutes, the Keep Warm phase
will stop. All indicator lights will switch off.
Only the real temperature of the water
stays on the display (3).
10. Unplug the electrical cord.
NOTE
- At any moment during the heating
cycle, you can check the selected
temperature: shortly press the selection
buttons ( ) or ( ). The selected
temperature will flash on the display (3)
for a few seconds.
- When starting the appliance, some
water drops might appear on the power
base (7). This is completely normal. This
is condensed steam which forms when
starting the heating.

SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS
Convenient, the last used temperature is automatically memorised.
To see it before starting the heat up, just press one of the selection buttons ( ) or ( )
You can also directly select the comfort temperatures 60°C, 80°C and 100°C
1. Follow instructions 1 to 5 of the paragraph “Use”.
2. For a direct access to the setting:
- 60°C: continuously press the selection button ( ) for minimum 2 seconds. A sound signal will
be heard confirming the setting of the temperature. Then press the “ON/OFF” button to start
the heating cycle.
- 80 °C: simultaneously press both selection buttons ( ) and ( ) during minimum 2 seconds.
A sound signal will be heard confirming the setting of the temperature. Then press the “ON/
OFF” button to start the heating cycle.
- 100 °C: continuously press the selection button ( ) during 2 seconds. A sound signal will be
heard confirming the setting of the temperature. Then press the “ON/OFF” button to start the
heating cycle.
3. When the temperature is reached a sound signal will be heard. The function “Keep Warm”
automatically activates for 30 minutes.
Once the water has reached the selected temperature, the function “Keep Warm” automatically
activates for 30 minutes.
This keep warm phase is symbolised by a scrolling of luminous dots on the display.
The button “ON/OFF” (5) keeps switched on and the selected temperature is displayed.
KEEP WARM
NOTE
- The temperature of the Keep Warm function is the selected temperature if it is
between 50°C and 90°C.
- If the selected temperature is 95° of 100°C, the Keep Warm starts when the
temperature gets to 90°C. At any time, it is possible to check the selected
temperature: shortly press one of the selection buttons ( ) or ( ) the selected
temperature flashes on the display (3) for a few seconds, and then it will show the
real temperature of the water.
- If the kettle is removed from its base (7) during the Keep Warm phase, the kettle
will automatically stop.

After a certain number of uses, a thin film of limestone can appear on the bottom and in the inside
of your kettle.
It is then recommended to descale the appliance.
To do so:
- Fill your kettle up to the maximum level (1,7) with a mix of water and white vinegar with a ratio of
2 volumes of water for 1 volume of vinegar. Never fill by the spout and avoid wetting the handle.
- Bring to a boil at 100°C and let set during one night.
- The following morning, empty the water and boil fresh water various times at 100°C until the
vinegar taste disappears.
OVERHEAT SAFETY
DESCALING
- The kettle is equipped with a overheat safety system which will start if you boil an insufficient
quantity of water. In this case, the kettle automatically stops. All lights switch off.
- Remove the kettle from the power base (7) and let it cool during minimum 45 minutes before
reusing it.
- Unplug and let the appliance cool before putting water in again.
NOTE
For serious scaling, use a dedicated descaling
product commercially available verkrijgbaar is.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
BODY AND EXTERIOR BASE
- The exterior of the kettle and the power base
(7) can be cleaned with a soft, slightly moist
cloth.
- Carefully dry the power base (7) before using
the appliance.
IMPORTANT NOTES
- Never use abrasive products
- Never immerse the base and the kettle in
water or any other liquids.

ANTI-SCALE FILTER
- To remove the anti-scale filter (9), open the lid (2) and remove the filter by pulling upwards.
- Clean the filter (9) in hot water. If necessary, gently rub the sieve with a synthetic brush.
- To put the filter (9) back, simply slide it back in the lateral grooves until the end.
TIPS & INFORMATION
Tea = leaves and water
Depending on the quality of the tap water, it might be necessary to use mineral water or simply to
filter it.
Using hard water of chlorine water would be an offense to the tea you want to savour! Let your
palate guide you… depending on the type of tea, the shape of its leaves, the season or even your
personal taste, it might be interesting to vary the infusion temperature.
Generally, the Chinese consider that boiled water has lost its vital force. Others, prefer to boil
the water to “break the crust”, free the oxygen, and let the water cool down to the desired
temperature…
Everyone has its own way…
THE TYPES OF TEA
Black tea
Is one of the most spread teas in the West. It has an exceptional richness and variety, and is used
in the composition of flavoured teas. The most common teas are without a doubt the Darjeeling.
The most known teas are Ceylon, Keemoun, Assam
Green tea
Very thirst-quenching, the green tea can be drunk all day long. It has draining virtues, ideal to
accompany a diet. The great green teas are among the most expensive of the world. .
The Oolong tea
Semi-fermented, it is characterised by an aroma of roasted chestnuts, hazelnuts and honey.
Associated with a wellbeing and low in theine, it can be drunk at night without sleeping
disturbance.
The smoked tea
It is a black tea from old and strong leaves. The most smoked are the Tarry, strong but subtle teas.
The white tea
It is composed of the buds and the first leaves of the young tea branch; this rare tea is of a great
finesse.

The yellow tea

The flavoured teas
Flavoured with flower or fruit essences, it is mainly the delicacy of their perfumes the amateurs

Rich in vitamins, poor in theine, it is not issued from a tea plant, but from a plant called rooibos. It
can be drunk all day long…

The heating temperatures and times below are given as an indication. We recommend to adapt
them depending on the varieties of the preparations and on your personal taste.

the appliance. This person can collect the product aiming at an ecological recycling.

WARRANTY
Dalcq S.A. provides a special warranty on all parts of the appliance subject to conditions below.
The legal regulations about warranty as well as the rights resulting from the legislation about
responsibility of the defective products remain unaffected. Possible right to reimbursement of the
buyer in case of defaults remain valid, if the conditions below are met.
1. Period of the warranty
The warranty applies to all parts of the
appliance and starts from the date of purchase
(date of invoice) of the appliance and has a
duration of 2 years when used privately
2. Object of the warranty
Dalcq S.A. covers the material, construction
and manufacturing defaults, provided the
default was present at delivery and that the
appliance was correctly operated by the buyer.
The warranty covers free repair, or exchange
of one or more defective components, or
the exchange of the appliance for another
appliance of the same value. It is up to Dalcq
S.A. to decide which measure to undertake.
3. Warranty case
When breakdown/default, you must
immediately advise: :
1. The store where you bought the appliance.
2. The after sales service (written or via
email) that the appliance will be returned,
to provide an extended description of the
problem with pictures.
4. Packaging
It is recommended to use the original
packaging to return the appliance. If you use
a different packaging, make sure it provides
enough protection for typical transport risks
and that it offers sufficient protection. A simple
cardboard box filled with paper is not sufficient.
Dalcq S.A. cannot be held responsible for
damage resulting from insufficient packaging.
The warranty then expires. The after sales
service will inform you of the return procedure
as well as of the costs this implies.
5. Cleaning
If you don’t clean the parts or the appliance
before returning it, Dalcq S.A. will invoice a
cleaning set rate. It is the responsibility of the
buyer to prove the real costs of cleaning are
inferior to the invoiced set rate.
6. Withdrawal of the right to warranty
The right to warranty is withdrawn by:
- Incorrect use, treatment and storage. (For
example, defaults caused by humidity, high
temperatures)
- Repairs, repair attempts, modifications of any
kind and use of non-original parts, etc. which
were not executed by Dalcq S.A. or by an
authorized company.
- Insufficient packaging and bad transport.
- Inappropriate mechanical influences on the
appliance or on the parts of the appliance.
- Defaults that are not caused by the finishing
or production of the appliance, such as fall,
collision, damage, fire, earthquake, damage
by flood, lightning, etc.
- Use other than household use, especially in a
commercial environment.
- The costs incurred by Dalcq S.A. because of
the returning of the appliance by the buyer,
without warranty or right to restitution will be
for the buyer.
