IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using this electrical appliance, safety precautions
should always be observed, including the following:
nREAD ALL OF THE INSTRUCTIONS.
nDo not leave appliance when plugged in. Unplug from outlet
when not in use.
nDo not use any metal utensils on the non-stick surface.
nDo not touch hot surfaces. Use handle on lid.
nDo not use outdoors or on a wet surface.
nTo protect against electric shock do not immerse cord or
plug in water or other liquid.
nThe use of accessoryattachments not recommended by the
appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
nDo not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch
hot surfaces.
nDo not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner,or in a
heated oven.
nAfiremay occur if the appliance is covered or touching
flammable material including curtains, draperies, walls, etc.
when in operation.
nDo not place any of the following materials in the appliance:
paper,cardboard, plastic, etc.
nDo not allow unit to be used as a toy.Close attention is
necessary when used by or near children.
nExtreme caution must be used when moving an appliance
containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
nAlways attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord in the
wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to “off”, then
remove plug from wall outlet.
nDo not use appliance for other than intended use.
nUnplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and
before cleaning the appliance.
nDo not clean with metal scouring pads. Pieces can break
off the pad and touch electrical parts, involving a risk of
electrical shock.
nDo not use with damaged cord or plug. If the appliance is
not working as it should, has been dropped, damaged, left
outdoors, or dropped into water, return it to an authorized
service center for proper service and replacement or repair.
nThe manufacturer does not recommend using an extension
cordwith this unit. However,if one is used, it must have a
rating equal to or exceeding the rating of this appliance.
nDo not handle plug or appliance with wet hands.
nThis unit has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the
other). This plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way,
as a safety feature. Reverse the plug if the plug does not
fully fit in the outlet. Contact a qualified electrician
if it still does not fit. Do not attempt to defeat this safety
feature.
nThis unit is recommended for household, indoor use only.

Before First Use
1. Remove all packing material from the unit.
2. Wash the grill pan, outer housing, drip tray and lid
in warm soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
Note: This appliance can be completely immersed
in water. Please be sure the drip tray is in the
proper position.
WARNING: Never immerse the power cord, plug, or
temperature control into water or other liquids. This
may cause an electrical shortage and bodily harm. Do
not use abrasive scouring pads or steel wool to clean
the grill pan. It may scratch the coating.
Operating the Unit
Assembling the knob on the lid:
1. Position the knob over the hole of the lid.
2. Push the screw through the hole on the bottom
side of the lid.
3. Screw tightly into lid.
4. Periodically, tighten screw if needed.
Insertthe grill pan:
1. Position the grill pan into the outer housing,
making sure the power receptacle fits into the
opening on the outer housing.
2. Push down on the grill pan to lock it into place. You
should hear a snap as it locks.
Connecting the thermostat control:
1. Make sure the temperature control is in the “Off”
position.
2. Plug the thermostat plug into the unit and then
plug the power cordinto a wall outlet.
Preparing the grill pan for the first time:
1. Spray or brush the grill pan with cooking oil.
2. Set the temperature control knob to the
recommended cooking temperature.
3. When the indicator light goes off, the unit is
preheated and ready to use.
NOTE: To protect the premium quality non-stick
surface, use only plastic, nylon or wooden utensils.
Cooking:
1. Turn the temperature control to the desired setting.
The red indicator light will illuminate.
2. The indicator light will go offwhen the grill pan has
reached the set temperature.
Note: During operation, the indicator light will go on
and offindicating that the proper temperatureis being

3. When finished cooking, turn the temperature
control to the “Off” position and unplug the power
cord.
4. Allow the unit to cool before cleaning.
Cleaning
1. Disconnect the power plug from the wall outlet and
remove the thermostat plug from the appliance.
2. Allow the unit to cool down completely.
3. Take the grill pan out of the outer housing. Pull out
the drip tray and properly dispose of the grease.
4. Wash the grill pan, outer housing, drip tray,and lid
in warmsoapy water.Rinse and drythoroughly.
Note: This appliance can be completely immersed
