DXI35 INSTANT WATER HEATER
Introduction
Thank you for selecting our Delux Inline water heater.
These instructions contain important information about commissioning, switching
the device on and maintenance. To ensure your safety and that of others we
suggest that you read these installation and operating instructions before using
the device for the first time. Please keep the instructions and other documentation
close to the device.
This device has been manufactured in accordance with the prescribed standards and
has been tested by the competent authorities. It has a Safety Certificate and a Certificate
of Electromagnetic Compatibility. The technical data for the product is displayed on
the label between the inlet and outlet pipes.
The appliance should be installed by qualified persons. All repair and maintenance work
on the device, for example the removal of limestone and water scale deposits, may only
be carried out by a qualified plumber/tradesperson.
These Delux Vented water heaters are ideal for use in light commercial or domestic
applications where supply to a single sink is required for light hand/dish washing. Its
modern design and the use of carefully selected materials and an improved manufacturing
process ensure high quality.

Faulty and/or electrical or electronic appliances that are disposed of must be
handed in at the relevant recycling centres set up for this purpose.
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and
persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of
experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards
involved.

Environment
This device is delivered in sturdy packaging in order to avoid damage during transport.
This packaging consists mainly of recyclable materials. We request that you dispose of the
packaging accordingly for recycling.
Disposal of the appliance
Old appliances must not be disposed of in your household waste! Every
consumer is legally obliged to dispose of old appliances separately from their
household waste and to take them, for example, to a collection point in their local
communityor local district. Old electrical appliances will be accepted there free
of charge. This ensures that the old appliances are properly recycled and any
negative impacts on the environment are avoided. This is why electrical
appliances are marked with the symbol shown on the left.
Installation
The device should be installed in accordance with the drawing on the first page of the
user manual. Any other installation position may result in serious damage to the device.
Installation should take place as close as possible to a cold water connection. The product
should be protected from the effects of frost (for example in caravans, summer houses,
etc.). This device may be installed above or under the work top.
This unit should not be installed in a location where it is at risk of freezing.
This unit is not to be used with thermostatic mixing valves/taps or for
supplying a mixer tap.
●When installing, consider any risks posed by potential leaks from the product or
pipework. Avoid installation in areas where a leak could have potentially severe
consequences, such as near electronic equipment
●Check for potential freezing of the pipework or heater and take action if required, such
as lagging supply pipes.
●The heater should be located as close as practical to the hot water outlet as this avoids
heat losses through the pipework and improves performance.
This system allows water to be drawn from a single discharge point. Never use a shut-off valve
in the appliance’s outlet. The connection pipes must be installed as shown in the drawing.
It is recommended that a 2 Litres per minute flow restrictor/spray head be used in the hot outlet
tap.

Removing and Mounting the Bracket
Always ensure there are no hidden cables/pipes before drilling mounting holes.
●The unit is to be installed with the inlet/outlet at the top. Ensure the orientation of the
bracket corresponds with the unit.
●Drill two holes using the bracket as a template. Wall plugs and screws are included for
attaching the bracket to the wall
●Once the bracket is mounted, firmly push the unit onto the bracket.
Connection to the water supply
The device must be installed as shown in the installation drawing on the first page of this
manual.
●Left outlet of the device is the water inlet (cold/ blue), right outlet is the water outlet
(hot/red).
●Prepare the water connections to the tap. Make sure main water supply is switched off.
●Install the device by using the plastic installation bracket which is supplied with the
device. Make sure main power is switched off.
●Connect the water supply to the device and to the main water supply.
●Open the main water supply and check for leakage and release air from the system by
opening the hot water tap.
●When air has left the system, connect the device to the electric system.
●Heater should now function!
Ensure the system must be full of water and tested for leaks before powering on
the unit
Electrical installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician in accordance
with the latest edition of the IEE wiring regulations.
Ensure the heater is earthed.
Isolate electric and water supply before electrical installation.
Ensure all wiring provisions meet the specifications of the heater as stated on the
rating label and ‘Specification’ section of this manual.
Electrical Connection
●Make connection to the electrical supply from the heater via a 30A rated fused spur
using the cable supplied.
●Connection should be made as follows:
Green/Yellow earth wire to the terminal marked “ E” or
Brown/Red live wire to the terminal marked “L”
Blue/Black neutral wire to the terminal marked “N”

Ensure the system is full of water and tested for leaks Before switching on power
to the unit.
This product is for single basin hand washing only.
Water heating occurs as it passes through the tank. The power of the heater is
fixed meaning there is a limit to the rate that hot water is delivered.
●Once installed with power and water connected, no further user interaction is
required.
●To operate open the outlet. As water flows through the unit, heating will automatically
start.
●The LED indicator will illuminate when water is flowing through the unit.
●Heating performance is based on flow rates, the slower the flow the higher the
temperature uplift. The delivered temperature is the incoming water temperature plus the
temperature uplift, dependent on flow.
●A flow restrictor is supplied. When fitted into the nozzle of a tap, this will ensure a
1.6 l/min flow rate is maintained. With this a temperature uplift of 27°C is achieved.
●Be aware that incoming water temperature can fluctuate during the year in the UK.
Incoming winter temperatures may be below 10°C, whereas summer water
temperatures can be over 15°C.
In theory, the heater could deliver 42°C water in the summer (with 15°C incoming
water temperature). With the same flow rate in winter the heater would only deliver
37°C in winter (with 10°C incoming water temperature). The delivered temperature
could be lower if the incoming water temperature is less than 10°C.

Maintenance
●Clean the heater cover with a clean, damp cloth. Abrasive compounds are not to be
used.
●Electrical and plumbing inspections should becarried out by a qualified/competent
person on a regular basis.
●Power should always be disconnected before any cleaning or maintenance is performed.
●Do not open the cover of the unit without isolating the mains power supply first.
●If the flow rate drops, clear any debris from the spray head and inlet gauze fitted to the
inlet plumbing connection. Descale as required.
●The tap spray head connected to the heater should be checked for scale build up and
scale removed as necessary.

Guarantee and service policy
This product is guaranteed against faulty materials and manufacture from the date of
purchase for 2 years.
In the event of a faulty product firstly contact our customer services team who will guide
you through the process.
Do not uninstall or return the product before contacting deXpro customer services, such
action may void the warranty.
The standard warranty covers the supply of spare parts or at our sole discretion a
replacement product. On-site service costs are strictly exempt from the warranty.
The guarantee specifically excludes:
•Corrosion caused by incorrect maintenance or installation of the water heater.
•Damage caused by limescale build up.
•Consequential losses, including labour charges and damges to surroundings.
•Failure to maintain and install the water heater according to the instructions in this
manual.
INFORMATION FOR CORRECT DISPOSAL OF THE PRODUCT IN
ACCORDANCE WITH THE EUROPEAN DIRECTIVE 2002/96/E.
At the end of its working life this equipment must not be disposed of as household
waste. It must be taken to a local authority waste collection centre or to a dealer
providing this service. Disposing of electrical and electronic equipment separately
enables its components to be recovered and recycled to obtain significant
savings in energy and resources. In order to underline the duty to dispose of this
equipment separately, the product is marked with a crossed out dustbin.
