This manual has been written with the purpose of providin a eneral explanation, serve as reference and support
and it shall be used only by qualified technical personnel.
It should be noted that this equipment uses widely surface mount technolo y (SMT) components , so at certain
times and to a severe fault there is no chance to repair the module/s and will be necessary to replace it/s.
Because in this equipment there are currents and volta es dan erous for humans never operates it connected to
the mains AC line without the factory covera e removed.
Never open the equipment, remove parts or components without first turnin it off and disconnect it from the
mains AC line.
If you have to intervene with the equipment in operation, you must follow carefully carefully the protection rules
and electrical insulation for the intervenin technical personnel.

WARRANTY

DHE SYSTEMS warrants this equipment for a period of one (1) year from the date of delivery
against defects in manufacturing workmanship and / or defective material at no extra
charge. To comply with this warranty the equipment should be sent to the factory in
its original and complete packaging, including all accessories with was dispatched in the
same, with transportation costs, insurance, duties, taxes and all other additional costs
generated in the process of shipment to the factory and subsequent return to the client, paid
advance and according to the following conditions:
1-This warranty does not cover damage that could possibly occur during transport to the
customer, not from it to the factory, where the equipment sent for repair, adding options,
packaging, etc.
2-This guarantee does not apply if in the opinion of DHE SYSTEMS is determined that the
defect in the equipment is a result of improper handling, installation and operation outside
the recommendations provided by DHE SYSTEMS, use the equipment for other applications
for which was designed, intervention of technical personnel not expressly authorized by DHE
SYSTEMS, and / or not qualified enough, damage power conditions outside the
specifications, environmental conditions and / or adverse, extreme and unpredictable
weather, electric shock on the line power, signal, data, control or antenna.
3-This warranty does not cover damages that may occur in radio frequency power
transistors, power supply, connectors, keyboards and displays due to improper handling or
as a result of the conditions expressed in P2.
4-In if necessary replace materials that are not manufactured by DHE SYSTEMS replenishing
them at no additional cost to the customer will be subject to that obtained from the
manufacturer and / or supplier thereof. To this point the general conditions apply.
5-DHE SYSTEMS ensures equipment specifications, but is not responsible for the coverage
area that is intended to achieve with it.
6-This warranty does not cover damage that may occur directly or indirectly on other
equipment connected to, or during the use of the equipment.
7-No other warranty that is not expressed in this document will be recognized by DHE
SYSTEMS.
8-The conditions of this warranty may be modified by DHE SYSTEMS without notice or
authorization.

This equipment was tested, inspected and packed carefully at the factory. Check upon receipt that the packa in is
in perfect condition, and for any bumps or breaks on the packa in itself or safety belts. If this happens document
it immediately upon receipt of the equipment.
Unpack the equipment and check at a lance that no dama e is observed, and that the content matches the list
contained in the document "PA KING LIST" in the box. If dama e is observed ask for an inspection of the
carrier, and immediately contact the dealer or distributor where you made the purchase.
If the content does not match that listed contained in the document "PA KING LIST" immediately contact the
dealer or distributor where you made the purchase.
AUTION: Keep the packa in material with which was sent equipment for subsequent shipment to factory if
necessary within or outside the warranty period, since otherwise a char e for replacement of the ori inal packa in
will be char ed.

INSTALLATION
Before to connect the equipment to the AC line, power off the unit and check for the correct and clean AC mains
volta e level.
If you are not sure that the mains AC volpta e is clean, stable and free of transients you must install and sabilizer
should a stabilizer and sur e suppressor with at least 100 W of power acapacity.
Install the equipment in a clean, ventilated and where the temperature is within the operatin ran e of the
equipment.
Connect the RF coaxial cable to the connector in the rear pannel. You must use a ood and low loss 50 Ohms RF
coaxial cable, such RG213 or superior. Never uses a low cost and hi h losses coaxial cable such RG58 or similar. If
you have to use lon len th coaxial cable, the ½” Celflex or similar is a ood choice.
Before power on the transmitter, be sure that the antenna is correctly adjusted, checkin that the value of the ROE
is less than 1.5:1
Connect the audio inputs usin shieldin cable for Mono inputs, and 75 Ohms low loss coaxial cable such RG59 for
the MPX input.

SERVI ING AND MAITENAN E RE EIVER STAL100

This equipment has been desi ned and built to operate continuously without de radation of its parameters, but on
certain occasions may require maintenance and / or repair, or under failures caused by abnormal situations in the
power AC line, electric shock on power lines , si nal, data, control and antenna.
If necessary to replace power fuses, always do it with others of equal current.
The only recommended maintenance is the periodic cleanin of the ventilation slots to allow passa e of clean air
and the volume necessary to ensure proper coolin equipment.
The printed circuit modules can also be cleaned by blowin air pressure clean and dry them. Never use solvents for
this operation as this can cause severe dama e to the components or permanently disable the board.
Previous cleanin operations are recommended when the equipment is operated in environments with hi h dust
content in the air.
To perform any operation of maintenance and / or repair the equipment must be disconnected from the mains AC
power before to remove the covers.
HANDLING MODULES
The modules in this equipment are provided mostly connectors, so it is only necessary to remove these connectors
disconnect and remove the screw / lock washer assembly.
Caution should be taken when reinstallin a module, verify that the connectors are connected in the same
place
and position where they ori inally resided since otherwise dama e may occur in the same and / or other parts of
the equipment.
HANDLING OF OMPONENTS
This equipment uses surface mount technolo y for smaller SMD components such as resistors, capacitors, diodes,
transistors and low and medium power inte rated circuits. To remove this parts always use appropriate tools
desolderin . Special care should be taken not to dama e the printed circuit board or metallized holes by removin
a component, since the risk that the module is run permanently disabled. If this happens the entire module must
be replaced.
REPLA ING MODULES
In certain circumstances and for any dama e caused by feedin conditions outside the specifications,
environmental conditions and / or adverse, extreme and unpredictable weather, electric shocks on the power AC
line, si nal, data, control or antenna, you must completely replace the / dama ed modules, pej, power supplies, RF
& audio board, etc
.
WARNING: Never service the unit with the cover removed and the A line connected.
There are dangerous voltages inside the equipment.
Disconnet the unit from the A line before to remove the cover.
When the operations ends, reinstall the cover and fix it all the screws.

GENERAL DE RIPTION OF THE TRANSMITTER STAL 100

The STAL100 transmitter is a state of the art equipment, result of the experience accumulated over the years in
the manufacture of broadcastin and communications equipment.
Desi ned and built to meet international standards and incorporates synthesized technolo y.
The STAL 100 Transmitter is equipped with a low distortion and hi h dynamic ran e frequency synthesizer
featurin reduced dispersion modulation throu hout the operational ran e.
Maximum output power is 8/10 W usin MOS technolo y.
Monoaural and Mpx options availables from factory.
Mono output balanced/unbalanced with XLR connector, and Mpx unbalanced output with BNC connector.
The switchin mode power supply covers the universal volta e ran e from 110 to 220 VAC, 47/63 Hz jumper
select, allows to operate the transmitter without de radation of the parameters under variations in he mains
volta e.
Its modular construction made mostly with connectors to link the different modules makes the task easy servicin .
Frequency pro rammin is easily set up via dip switch. This allows the user access to 1000 channels within the
operational ran e, with 25 Khz spacin in between and a typical 1.5%/2 % bandwidth without retunin .

OPERATION OF THE TRANSMITTER STAL100

Connect pro ram inputs, RF outputs and AC power accordin with INSTALATION (5/1)
2- Power ON, after a few swconds the transmitter will be available to operate in the frequency
pro ramed in dipswitchs.
3- Output power & modulation level
3.1-RF Output power
The transmitter output power is displayed in the led bar selectin the switch to “Power“
3.2-Modulation level
The modulation level is displayed in the led bar selectin the switch to “Mod”.
Modulation peaks must flash the last led on the ri h side of the bar to assure correct
operation of the transmitter and to prevent interferences in adyacent channels.
You can modify the modulation level with the trimer in the rear pannel.
4- Frequency pro ramin
4.1
- The user can pro ram a new frequency, settin the dip switch`s accordin to he frequency table
at
at the end of this manual, followin the procedure listed below:
4.1.1-The most si nificant di it, Mhz x 100 of the frequency is showed in the table as
“X”, fi., for 305.025 Mhz this is “3”, and you must discard.
This frequency match an equipment in the 300.000 to 325.00 Mhz frequency ran e.
Then you have to set the 05025 digits, or 5025, with match channel 202.
Set dip`s followin the table indications, keepin that “0” is for “ON” position and “1”
is fpr
“OFF” position.
5-Fine frequency adjust.
The fine frequency adjust is made by trimer Vc5.
Caution: do not readjust this trimer if you can´t have an adecuate instrument to know the exact
frequency, such as frequency meter.
6-Output power adjust.
After pro ramin the frequency, if is necessary you can re adjust trimers Vc1 a Vc4 for
maximum
output power.
7-Mono mode settin
To
operate the receiver
in mono mode, you have to install the de enphasis jumper JP6.
Caution: remove the jumper JP6 to operate in Mpx mode.
WARNING:
Never manipulate the unit with the cover removed and the A line connected.
There are dangerous voltages inside the equipment.
Disconnet the unit from the A line before to remove the cover.
When the operations ends, reinstall the cover and fix it using all the screws.
