General Information
Preliminary Remarks
Thank you for choosing this booster toilet seat from our company.
The booster toilet seat TSE-1 can be mounted quickly and easily to almost
every standard WC basin. It enables the raising of the seat position by up to
16 cm.
Top-quality design which can be adjusted in height ensures an ergonomically
formed seat with maximum comfort. The arm-rests provide additional support
when sitting down and getting up.
Please read these instructions for use carefully before using the booster seat.
It contains important notes on safety and valuable tips for use and care. If you
have any questions or require additional information, please contact the
specialist trader who delivered your booster toilet seat.
These instructions for use contain all important notes on adjusting and
operating the TSE-1.
Compliance declaration
Dietz GmbH declares sole responsibility for compliance of the booster toilet
seat TSE-1 pursuant to EC Directive 93/42 for medical products.
Appropriate use
The booster toilet seat TSE-1 is suitable for toilet use by persons up to a
maximum body weight of 120 kg.
The adjusted height of the booster toilet seat and the movable arm-rests
make it much easier to shift from the wheelchair to the toilet.
The booster seat is not suitable as a seat.
Please ask your specialist trader to explain the functions and operation of the
seat.

for use. Dietz GmbH is not liable for any damages caused by
components and spare parts which have not been released by Diestz
GmbH. Repairs must be carried out by authorized specialists or by the
manufacturer himself.
Notes on Safety
The booster toilet seat is no risk if used for the appropriate purpose.
The maximum user weight is 120 kg.
The lid of the booster toilet seat is not suitable as use as a seat, only sit on the
toilet seat.
Clothing or parts of the body may become jammed when sitting down and
getting up.
Clothing and parts of the body may also become jammed in the brackets when
flapping down the arm-rests.
Make sure the arm-rests are locked in correctly.
Always fasten the bars at the back and front at the same height.
Make sure all bolts are tight.

Overview of Product and Delivery
Inspection of delivery
The booster toilet seat is delivered packed in a box. After unpacking, please store the box if possible.
It serves for subsequent storage of the booster toilet seat. After receiving the product, please check
for completeness and perfect condition. The contents comprise:

Labeling and type plates
Type plates and manufacturer plates are attached to the frame under the
seat.
Plates must be legible. Illegible or missing plates must be replaced
immediately. The type plate is important for identification of the
product. It must not be removed.
Assembly
The booster toi
let seat can be mounted to every conventional toilet
bowl.
The distance from the toilet to
the rear wall must be at least 18 cm
tob e able to flap down the arm-rests.
Before mounting the booster toilet seat, check that the toilet bowl is
correctly fitted.
Assembling the arm-rests
Press down safety button .
Then push the fastening tube of the
arm-rest into the bracket of the
booster toilet seat.
Make sure the safety button catches
after you have mounted the arm-
rests.

Setting the Seat Height
The seating height of
the booster
toilet seat can be easily adjus
ted to
your requirements.
First, remove the hole covers by
pushing them out from the inside.
Unscrew the twist buttons to
remove the bearing bar.
Move the bearing bar to
the desired
height and re-tighten.
Now re-apply the hole covers.
Repeat this procedure with the other bearing bar and fasten the bearing bar
at the same height.
Position of the Booster Toilet Seat
The position of the booster toilet seat can be easily adjusted to the front and
to the back.
To do this, you have to install the rear bearing bar twisted by 180°.

Attaching the booster toilet seat
To mount the booster toilet seat, the old toilet seat first hast o be removed.
Check if the factory-set height of the booster toilet seat meets your
requirements. To do this, place the booster toilet seat on the toilet bowl. You
can adjust the height.
Make sure you only mount the booster toilet seat as high as you need. Your
feet should be on the ground at all times.
The toilet seat height can be adjusted
applying just a few hand movements.
First, unscrew the plastic nuts from
the thread rods.
Push the thread rods through the
holes in the toilet bowl and screw on
the nuts gently at first.
Now position the booster toilet seat in
the center above the toilet bowl by
moving the booster to the left or right
using the rear brackets.
The booster must be tightly screwed on. Otherwise the booster may
shift when you sit on it.
Check secure mounting of the booster toilet seat very carefully.
Dismantling of the booster toilet seat is carried out in reverse sequence.

Use
Use the arm-
rests for careful sitting
down and getting up from the front.
When entering from the side (e.g.
wheelchair), swivel the arm-rests to
the back o
n the respective side of
entrance.
Make sure that the arm-
rests lock
correctly when flapping them down.
Clothing or parts of the body may become jammed in the catch for
the arm-rests when flapping down the arm-rests.
If possible, always sit up straight on the booster toilet seat. Beware
of the increased risk of slanted mounting.

Notes on Care for the User
Cleaning
Normal cleaning and disinfection agents can be used to clean the booster
toilet seat. Wipe the booster toilet set with a damp cloth.
Do not use any sharp or caustic cleaning agents or agents with grinding
additives.
Inspection of the booster toilet seat by the user
This booster toilet seat is maintenance-free. If servicing is required, please
hand the booster to a specialist trader.
Inspection: Check tightness of all screws, bolts and nuts monthly and tighten
if required.
Malfunctions/Troubleshooting
Return the booster to a specialist trader in the case of troubleshooting and
error rectification or in case of damage.
This does not include malfunctions which can be rectified by cleaning.
The specialist trader is to be supplied with necessary information
and documents for repair and servicing, on request.

Disposal
If your booster toilet seat or the packaging is no longer to be used and is to
be disposed of, please contact your local disposal company to find out about
respective regulations for disposal.

Guarantee
Guarantees cover all defects of the product verifiably caused by material or manufacturing
defects. The guarantee period is 24 months as of readiness for shipment, and at the latest
after delivery. The guarantee does not cover damage caused by natural wear and tear, by
intent or by negligent, inappropriate operation or use. The same applies if unsuitable cleaning
agents, lubricants or fats are used. The guarantee certificate must be completely filled in when
submitting a complaint (see below).


oder Herstellungsfehler zurückzuführen sind. Die Gewährleistungsfrist beträgt 24 Monate ab
