Everything You Need to Get the Most of Your Photos and MORE
Installing An Optional Memory Card

1. Slide cover to open
battery compartment.
2. Load three “AAA” batteries
according to the polarities
(+ and -) indicated on the
inside of the cover.
3. Close the cover.
Note: You cannot take photos when
the camera is connected to a computer.
We recommend using an SD memory
card. Photos stored on the card will not
be lost if there is a loss of battery power.
Warning:
1.To avoid losing your photos due to loss
of battery power, DO NOT open the battery
compartment before downloading your
photos.
2. Please download photos to your
computer as often as possible.
3. If the camera remains idle for long
periods of time, please download your
pictures and then remove the batteries to
avoid battery leakage or corrosion.

The LCD screen has multiple functions:
Compose your photos instead of using the viewfinder.
Preview photos and videos on the camera.
Select the many built-in modes and options.
The following page is a key to icons appearing on the LCD screen in the
interface mode. More detailed instructions on how to use each feature
appear in the appropriate sections later in the manual.

For WIN 2000 or WIN XP operating systems - On the “Install your camera
software” screen, select your camera model from the drop down list and click the
“Install” button to install PhoTags Express followed by the installation of PhoTags
WebCam Express and your camera driver.
For WIN 98SE operating system- On the “Install your camera software” screen and
follow these instructions:
1. Click the “DirectX” button and follow the installation instructions, restart your
computer after the installation
2. Insert the CD into your CD-Rom drive. Make sure that your camera is not
connected to the computer.
3. On the “Install your camera software” screen, select your camera model from
the drop down list and click the “Install” button to install PhoTags Express
followed by the installation of PhoTags WebCam Express and camera driver.

On the “PhoTags Express" screen, click the “Next” button.
Please review the license terms and click the “Agree” button to continue.

Let the “PhoTags Express” installer create the folder where the program will be
installed to, and then click “Install”.
Click “Finish” to let the “PhoTags Express” installer finish the installation program.

This will automatically launch the Install shield for the camera driver. Click “Next” to
continue.
Once the program has finished installing you will be asked to restart your computer.
Please do so.
Congratulations!! You have successfully installed the “PhoTags Express” software,
the “PhoTags WebCam Express” and the Camera Driver.

1. Press POWER/MENU to turn the camera on.
2. Hold the camera steady and press the shutter button to take photos.
Tip: You can frame your shot precisely by using the LCD monitor.
Press and hold down POWER/MENU for 3 seconds to turn your camera off.
Tip: If your camera remains idle for an extended period, it will automatically turn
off to conserve energy. To reactivate it press POWER/MENU.
Turning Off Your Camera

Set the camera to PC Camera mode before using the PC Camera function.
The camera will be in MSDC mode by default. Press and hold down the shutter button
to turn on your camera and it will turn on in PC Camera mode.
In MSDC mode, the camera can be used as a removable drive.

Note:
Generally speaking, 60Hz is used in the USA and Asia. 50Hz is used in Japan
and Europe.
If you select the incorrect frequency your photos or videos may be adversely
affected.
