Digital Snitch BMW Night Hawk
Thank you for purchasing the Digital Snitch BMW Night Hawk. Please
first read over this manual for proper use.

Digital Snitch BMW Night Hawk
Light Key:
Green light: Standby
Blue light: Power on/off, saving data,
taking picture, & Charging
Using the included usb adapter,
charge the device for a minimum of
4 hours before first use.
Infrared/ Night Vision is
automatically activated under low
lighting conditions in both photo
and video mode.
Important:
1.) Device must be off when plugging into computer to retrieve data.
Once plugged in, you will see a red indicator light flash, then it will turn
blue. At this point, you will be able to open the files on computer.
2.) To reset device, make sure device is powered off. Then insert a
paperclip into the hole on back and push. This will reset the product and
delete all files on device.
3.) MUST PLUG DEVICE IN AND RE-SET DATE AND TIME BEFORE
USING. (Follow steps at bottom)
How to insert memory card:
1.) The recorder supports micro SD cards only.

2.) At bottom of device to the left of the key ring hole, slide open. There
you will see a place to insert a memory card and also a port to plug
device in. (Please see diagram 1)
3.) Insert the chip into the memory card slot with the pins down going
into the device but facing up (See diagram 2)
4.) Use a small object, like a paperclip, to push the card until the chip is
in place.

How to take a snapshot:
1.) Push the ON/OFF button until the indicator light turns a solid green
(standby mode)
2.) Push the ON/OFF one time (the light will flash 1 time to indicate you
took a picture)
3.) After the picture is taken, unit goes back to standby mode.

How to Record Video:
1.) Push the ON/OFF button until the indicator light turns a solid green
(standby mode)
2.) Press the REC button once, do not hold. (The green light will flash 3
times and go out to indicate you are in record mode)
3.) To stop recording, press the record button once again. The steady
green light will come on. (standby mode)
How to retrieve pictures and playback videos:
1.) Use the supplies USB cable to connect the recorder to your
computer, with the microSD card still inside.
2.) Go to “My Computer” and double-click on the new “Removable
Disk.” OR a pop up box will display (AutoPlay) and you can select “open
folder to view files.”
3.) Double-click on the “DCIM” folder.
4.) Double-click on “100DSCIM” folder.
5.) In this folder you will see the items displayed as followed. Click and
review.

How to Edit Time and Date:
1.) With your device plugged into the computer, go to “My Computer”,
select “Removable Disk”. If a “DCIM” folder appears delete this folder.
Otherwise proceed to step 2.
2.) Go to file at top, and down to new. Select Text Document.
3.) Once this appears, rename it to → time.txt (all lower case)
4.) Double click this folder. (time.txt)
5.) Enter in space provided exactly how shown below, except put in
current date and time. Use one space between date & time. Start with
year, then month, then date. For time, put hour, min, then second.
Exactly as shown below.

6.) Hit file at top, then save. Close all boxes and disconnect device.
Begin using device and upon connect, time and date should be
updated.

Limited Warranty
The Manufacturer will repair or replace this product with new or refurbished parts from
the date of the original purchase in the event of a defect in materials or workmanship, as
follows: Materials and Labor: Ninety (90) days from the date of the original purchase.
This warranty is extended only to the original purchaser. A purchase receipt or other
proof of date of purchase and original purchase receipt will be required before warranty
service is rendered. This warranty only covers failures due to defects in materials or
workmanship, which occur during normal use as described in this Operator's Manual.
The warranty does not cover damage which occurs in shipment or failures which are
caused by products that are not supplied by the warrantor or failures which result from
accident, misuse, abuse, neglect, mishandling, alteration, maladjustment of consumer
controls, modification, rental use of the product, or service by anyone other than a
manufacture service person. Opening the sealed portions of the Digital Snitch BMW
Night Hawk will result in voiding of this warranty.
The Manufacturer, its Reseller(s), and Digital Snitch assume no liability associated with
the use or misuse of the Digital Snitch BMW Night Hawk. Under no circumstances are
the Manufacturer, its Reseller(s), Digital Snitch, its officers, agents, employees, or
parent companies, liable for any loss, damage, or expenses of any kind arising out of the
use, or inability to use, these products, or the suitability of use for any particular task. It
is important to follow the procedure; outlined in this manual to ensure safe use of the
Digital Snitch BMW Night Hawk.
The warrantor shall not be liable for incidental or consequential damages resulting
from the use of this product, or arising out of any breach of this warranty. All
express and implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability and
fitness for a particular purpose, are limited to the applicable warranty period set
forth above. The effectiveness of the Digital Snitch BMW Night Hawk device depends
on the skill of the operator and configuration, thus it cannot be guaranteed.
