SPECTROBES: ORIGINS
Story
Rallen and Jeena, members of the Nanairo Planetary Patrol (NPP), find themselves in a
whole new galaxy—the Kaio System—when they are suddenly sucked through a portal.
The Kaio System is threatened by a common enemy, the Krawl, and Rallen and Jeena
are their only hope. Their adventure with the new Spectrobes from this mysterious
galaxy is just about to begin.
Main Characters
Rallen
Spectrobe Master and Nanairo Planetary Patrol member. Highly athletic and a crack
pilot. Cheerful in disposition and loves a good adventure.
Jeena
Rallen’s partner in the Nanairo Planetary Patrol. Helps keep Rallen’s feet on the ground.
Highly intelligent and a whiz with machines & electronics.
NOTE: You can play as either Rallen or Jeena. You can switch characters at any Save
Point.

Player 2’s Controls
Spectrobes: Origins is primarily a single-player game; but, if you have two Wii
Remotes, you can play with two players. One player will control Rallen or Jeena, while
the other will control the Spectrobe during battle. Player 2 will also need to connect a
Nunchuk to his or her Wii Remote.
COSMO MENU
Line Up
Change the Spectrobe formation of your Battle Team and Search Team.
Equipment
Change the weapon, shield, and item you have equipped for battle.
Mission
Verify your current mission and location on the planet map.
Excavated Item
View your current inventory of items you have excavated.
Cosmolink Data
View info on your equipment, Spectrobes, and items, etc.
System Settings
Change the control, sound, and screen settings.

Each Spectrobe is one of 5 elemental properties: Fire, Water, Plant, Earth, or Sky. The
key to battle is to use Spectrobes of the opposing property of the Krawl you are facing.

WEAPONS
Swords: Well-balanced for close-combat and allows you to string together multiple hits.
Lances: Perform thrusting attacks that will hit enemies several times if you connect.
Axes: Perform slow, but powerful strikes that will cut through an enemy’s defense.
Gloves: Perform melee attacks that knock enemies back, or into the air.
Blasters: Not very powerful, but versatile weapons for long-distance fighting.
ADVENTURE HINTS
Lost Memos
Written by a former Spectrobe Master, these useful items contain hints on locations of
special mineral deposits or Spectrobe fossils. Some are found while others you may

receive from characters in villages. Press the 2 Button anytime outside of battle to view
your Lost Memos.
Property Barriers
There are special barriers that can be found scattered around each planet that are
marked with a symbol showing its elemental property. These barriers can only be
broken by Child Spectrobes of the same property.
Stone Markers
There are stone markers found throughout the game, especially behind property
barriers. They say these markers have something to do with legendary, Spectrobe -
powered weapons...
Spectrobe Profile
Press the 2 Button during battle to display a list of attacks the Spectrobe you currently
have with you can perform. By leveling up a Spectrobe, you can increase the power of
its combination, type C attack.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Spectrobes: Origins features Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection and allows players to upload
saved pictures from the game to an online server. To view the pictures, please go to
