Intended use
1. General
• The chipper is designed exclusively for fine cutting/chipping of all kinds of branches with one
diameter of up to a maximum of 8.5 cm.
Restriction
• You must not use the chipper for fine cutting/chipping of metal, stone, plastic.
• Check that the bolts on the blades and the counter knife are tight and that the distance
between the blade and the counter knife is 0.5 mm. Adjust if necessary and tighten the
bolts.
The description of the machine
• The file chipper is a machine for finely cutting/chipping wood. The rotor has two blades
each with a width of 30 cm and is driven by a petrol engine. The transmission cuts through
two parallel drive belts. Chipped wood is discharged through the outlet pipe. Due to the
angle of the blade and the location of the counter knife, the branches are drawn into the
machine almost automatically. (See figure 2a, 2b, on page 2)
Starting the machine:
• Start by pressing the ON button to (Figure 3)
• Open the gas tap
• Set the choke to ON
• Turn on the gas by pushing the gas control
• Turn the key to turn on the machine.
Spare parts
Always use original spare parts, otherwise the warranty will be void! You can easily find the spare
parts
that fits the machine, by scanning the scan code on
your machine's CE plate.
Download the app 'QR scanner' on
your smartphone in the Play Store or
App Store to be able to scan the scan
code.

3. Safety labels
NB: Before using the machine, make sure that the instructions have been carefully read for correct use
of the machine. Observe all safety instructions!
4. Operation of the machine
1. Safety and technical notes
• The user must be 18 years or older.
• The machine must be placed on a horizontal and firm surface.
• The user must wear protective gloves, hearing protection and safety glasses. (fig. 4)
• If you work in an enclosed space, always ensure that there is adequate ventilation and lighting,
although this is not recommended.
• Only one person at a time may operate the machine.

• A jammed piece of wood in the inlet pipe can only be safely removed when the engine is
switched off. If necessary, open and tip the inlet and outlet tubes to facilitate access to the
rotor. Use a wooden stick to remove the jammed piece of wood in the rotor. Never use your
hands! (Fig. 5-8)
• Never leave the machine unattended.
• Changing the rotor blades or counter blades and checking the blade bolts should only be
done when the engine and rotor are turned off, the spark plug cap is removed, and the rotor
is blocked.
• After an hour of use, always check that all bolts and nuts are still tightened correctly. If not,
tighten them again or take the machine to a service workshop.
• Use only original spare parts to maintain your file shredder, otherwise the warranty will be void.
• The chipper may only be repaired by a qualified service workshop.
• The chipper exceeds 90 dBA during operation. Therefore, all users and spectators
must wear hearing protection.
• Before use, ensure that the bolts on the fixed blade and other bolts are tight. Check after
an hour that the bolts are still tight (This is only done the first time). But thereafter regularly
– damage due to lack of re-tensioning and maintenance will void the warranty.
Foldable handle
The chipper's handle for manual transport can be folded for easier transport. This is done by
removing the 2 pins on the handle, after which the handle can be folded. Reinsert the 2 pins to
ensure that the handle does not move during transport.

2 . Before operating the machine
Check that the machine is firmly on the ground and cannot tip in any way. The danger zone on the
outlet pipe of the machine must be observed to avoid serious personal injury from chips being
thrown out of the outlet pipe. Chips can be thrown a distance of 12 meters, so spectators must
stay behind the throwing direction or at least 12 meters away from the exit pipe.
Before using the machine for the first time, check the maximum engine speed by screwing in /
out the screw that controls the position of the throttle so that it is positioned as shown in the
drawing.
After the first hour of use, check that the bolts on the knives and the counter knife are tight and
that the distance between the knife and the counter knife is 0.5 mm (half a millimeter). If
necessary, adjust and tighten the bolts.
3 . Starting and operating the machine
Start the engine at half throttle and let it warm up for approx. 3 minutes. The engine is then set to
full throttle. (Fig.9, 10)
Insert the branches into the entry tube and when you feel them being pulled in by the rotating
blades, let go of the branches. Do not continue to hold the branch, as the branch will be pulled
down into the machine by itself. The side branches with a diameter of more than 3 cm must be
sawn or chopped separately.
Warning!
In case of emergency or in case of any doubt, press the emergency stop (the red button) which is
nearby
the engine (Fig.11)

Before starting the engine, check that the bolts holding the inlet and outlet pipes are fully
tightened. (Fig. 12, 13)
4. Transportation
Before moving the machine, the engine must be switched off!
Maintenance and inspection
All technical inspections and maintenance must be carried out with the engine off and the spark
plug cap removed from the spark plug.
When cleaning the chipper, never spray the bearings with a high-pressure cleaner! This may
cause water to enter the bearings which will cause damage to the machine (This is not covered by
the warranty). The two grease nipples on the rotor must be lubricated once a year or every 500
hours.
Before the chipper must be packed away for seasonal storage, you must grease or oil it
blades and rotor to protect against corrosion.

7
For engine maintenance, refer to the engine manufacturers in the engine manual. Note
that the first engine oil change must take place after 5 hours of using the machine.

5. Troubleshooting
Problem
Cause
Solution
The chipper does not do the
job correctly: the wood is not
pulled in by the machine itself.
The tile is not the same size.
- The blades are too worn
- The diameter of the
branches inserted into the
machine is too large
- There is too much
distance between the fixed
blade and the counter
knife: the correct distance
is 0.5 mm (half a
millimeter)
- Change or sharpen the
blades. Note that the blades
are sharpened on both sides
so they can be turned.
- Switch off the engine and
remove the branch that is
too thick and adjust the gap
between the knife and
counter knife.
The engine does not start/ the
engine switches itself off
- Electrical problem
with the motor
- There is no fuel on it
- There is no or not enough oil
on the engine (the oil must be
level with the thread on the
level screw)
Check that
- The inlet pipe is fitted
correctly and that the bolts
are tight
- Press the 'start' button on
the engine
- Deactivate the
emergency switch (turn
the knob)
- Check the oil and fuel
level
-
Contact your service
workshop. Important:
Retighten bolts and blades
When blocking the rotor. The
engine will not start because
the rotor is stuck
- The diameter of the branch
is too large
- There are unacceptable
materials such as stone or
metal in the inlet pipe
- Switch off the engine,
remove the spark plug cap
and turn the rotor counter-
clockwise. Use a wooden
stick to twist the rotor free and
to remove the material from
the rotor and inlet tube.
If necessary, remove the cap
from the bearing housing and
rotate the rotor shaft.
Check the sharpness of the
knives and counter knife and
replace them if necessary.
Important: Retighten bolts and
blades.
