(for more information
read the ”Introduction” on page 2).
1

Introduction
A ”BURN-IN” or ”BREAK-IN” period is required before the amplifier will reach its max i mum sonic
potential.
The performance of your AMPLIFIER ONE will continue to improve during the first 400 hours of
listening. A ”Burn-in” period is required for the numerous high quality electronic parts used in this
integrated amplifier. We recommend the amplifier to be left on, or in
Standby
mode at all times,
Standby mode at all times, Standby
especially during the first 5-6 weeks of operation, in order to speed up the ”BURN-IN” pro cess.
The amplifier should not be switched off by using the main switch at the rear panel, unless it will
be out of use for a significant period of time during vacations etc.
Installation and Placement
The AMPLIFIER ONE requires reasonable ventilation to maintain an optimum and consistent
operating tem pe ra tu re. As a result, it should be placed in a location with empty space around
it for proper heat dissipation. As well, it should be placed on a solid level surface. You should
never place the amplifier too close to heat sources such as radiators, stoves, fireplaces or other
heat-producing appliances, or inside a closed cabinet. Avoid placing the amplifier where it will be
subjected to direct sunlight or extremely low temperature. Avoid placing the amplifier near elec-
tromagnetic fields, such as large power amplifiers etc. Placement of the unit near these fields can
lead to problems with hum.
NOTE:
You should never place another component directly on top of this
AMPLIFIER ONE.
Cleaning
To clean the AMPLIFIER ONE, use only a soft tissue. Never apply abrasive cleaners to the surfa-
ces of the unit.
At no time should liquid cleaners be applied directly to the AMPLIFIER ONE, as direct application
of liquids may result in damage to electronic components within the unit.

In the fuse box you will also find a spare main fuse. Please
check that it is the same value before switching fuse.
Intended to be used if your main source has XLR-outputs.
If your source/sources are not equipped with XLR-outputs,
please use the line inputs with RCA-connectors.

Each input has the same input sensitivity and impedance.
They are compatible with any typical analogue line level source:
CD, DVD, MD, Laserdisc, VCR, DA-converter, Tape deck or
phono preamplifier.
Fixed Level Output for external equipment.

Operating
We recommend that you leave your AMPLIFIER ONE powered up at all times to maintain optimal
performance. If you plan to be away from your home for a few days, powering off the amplifier may
not be a bad idea. Don’t forget, if you do so, it will require several hours before it reaches its peak
performance after you’ve powered up again!
Turning on your AMPLIFIER ONE for the first time
When you turn the amplifier on for the first time, make sure that every cable is properly connected
to avoid any problems. Then turn on your amplifier in the following manner:
1.
Turn on the main switch labelled

to the position
”ON”
at the rear side.
Make sure you connect to the proper voltage marked on your amplifier.
You will now see

Obtaining service
If your DLS AMPLIFIER ONE must be serviced, please contact your local dealer.
You can also consult the DLS web-site www.dls.se and contact the exclusive
Hi-Fi distributor for your country
Important!
It is extremely important that the in for ma tion about a problem is explicit and complete. A specific,
comprehensive description of the problem helps your dealer and the technical service department
to locate and repair the fault as quickly as possible. A copy of the original bill or sales receipt will
serve to verify the warranty status. Please include it with the unit when it is brought in for warranty
service.
Warning!
All returned units must be properly packaged in their original packaging material. If the packa-
ging to protect the unit is, in our opinion or that of our dealer, inadequate, we reserve the right
to repackage the return shipment at the owners’ expense. Neither DLS nor your dealer can be
responsible for shipping damage due to improper (that is, non-original) packaging. Your dealer
can order a new set of shipping materials for you if you need to ship your AMPLIFIER ONE and no
longer have the original materials. There will be a charge for this service. We strongly recommend
saving all packaging materials in case you need to ship your unit some day
