A. Cautions and Warnnings
1Placement
Topreventfire or electricshock, do not expose thisappliance to rain
or moisture.Do not place the set on an unstable cart,stand, tripod,
bracket ortable toprevent itfrom falling. Keeptheunit awayfrom
strong magnets,heat sources, direct sunlight, excessive dust.If the
unit is brought directlyfroma coldtoa warm location, moisture may
condenseinside the unit. When you move it from acoldtoawarm
location,wait for about one hour before operating the unit, or re-
movethedisc andleave the unit turned onuntil the moisture
evaporates.
2Installation
Ensure that the portableDVDplayer is installed inaccordancewith
the instructionsand illustrationsprovided in thismanual.
3Caution
Do not pushobjects ofany kind intothe unit through openings; do
not spill or spray liquid of any kind on or in the system(thismay result
in a fire or electricshock). Do not placeanything heavy on the unit.
Toensure proper ventilation andproper operation, nevercover or
block openings with acloth or other material. Keep theunit away
from anopen flame suchas fire,candleetc. Do notusethe unit in
temperatures higher than 104 degrees Fahrenheit or 40 degrees
Celsius.
4. Disc
Do not use irregularly shaped discs such as heart or star-shaped
discs asthey may cause the unitto malfunction.Do notstick paper,
tape or glue on the disc.Do notexposethe discto direct sunlightor
heatsources. Do nottouchthe surfaceofdisc. Handlethe disc by
its edge. Cleanthe disc bywiping thediscfromthe center outwith
acleaning cloth. Remove the disc fromthe unitand store it in its case
afterplaying.Someplayback operationsofdiscs may be intention-
allyfixed by software producers. Sincethis unit plays discs accord-
ing to the disccontentsthe softwareproducers designed, some
playback featuresmay not be available. Also referto the instruc-
tions supplied withthe discs.

C.Powering and Installation
1. Poweringthesystem indoors
Plug one end of the AC to DC adapter into the DC jack on the side of
the mainunit, then plug the other end intothe 100~240V ACpower
outlet.
2.Powering the system in acar
Plug one endofthecigarette lighteradapter intotheDCjack on theunit,
then plug the other end into the cigarette lighter socket.
Note: Unplugthe apparatus from the power source when notin use
for an extended period of time.
3. Built-inBattery
Plug one end of theAC to DC adapter into the DC jack on the side of
the main unit,then plug the other end intothe 100~240V ACpower
outletleave Power ON/OFF toOFF.when battery is charged full.the
LED willturn off.atthis point you may remove the wallplug and stop
charging.
Note: Your newbattery mustbe charged minimumof 8 hoursbefore the
first usage. Caution, The screen of DVDplayermay be black,
bland,flickering or change colour when the battery hasno enough
power.please make sure the battery isfull charged when playing.
Each full recharge takes approximately five hoursand one full
charge canprovide powerto the playerfor at least2hours.

E. Loadingand Playing aDisc
a. Afterconnectingpowerto the unit,poweron DVDplayer”with the
powerswitch. Thepowerindicator will light(green).
b. Open the disc tray by pressing OPEN, and placeadisc intothe tray
withthe labelside facing up.
c. Closethe tray bypressing the PRESS”placeprinted on it.The unit
will load the disc and startplaying.
d. RotateBRIGHTNESSand VOLUME to adjust the LCD ’sbrightness
and the DVD player’s volume.
e. Tostop playing a disc, press STOP.

F. Setup
1. General Setup Page
1) Press ‘SETUP’todisplay the Main screen ofthe Setup Menu on the
screen and General Setup Page”appears.Atthe sametime,” is
highlighted.Press‘SETUP’again toexitthe SetupMenu and theunitwill
resume it’s last playback mode.
2) Press the ENTERbutton, TV Display”is highlighted.
3) Press the or button to selectthe other menus in general setup
page.
4) Press to enter the sub menu.
5) Press the or button to selectthe sub menu and press the
ENTER to confirm your selection.
6) Repeat steps3-5 for other menus.
Note: Press to return the previousmenu.
a)TVDisplay
* Normal/PS:When the player outputssignaltoanormalTV,anormal
picture is shown on the full screen.
*Normal/LB:When the player outputssignaltoanormal TV, anormal
picture is shown on the screen withablack stripat boththe top and
bottom of the screen.
*Wide:When the player outputs signal to awide screen TV, awide
picture is shown on the full screen.
b).Angle Mark
*On:The screen will show the anglemark icon. (*If an angleoption is
available).
*Off: The screen will not display the Angle Mark
NOTE: Notall discs containabove features. The above featuresare
disc dependent.
c).OSDLanguage
Please chooseany language which you desire as OSD Language.

d). Screen Saver
*On: Enables screen saver
*NOTE: The DVD player will enter the Screen Saver mode after approxi-
mately five minutes if the same image remains on the screen.
*Off: Disablesscreen saver(off)
e).LastMemory
*On:The unit will return to the last position on the disc.
*Off: The unitwill not return to the last position on the disc.
*NOTE: The Last positionmemoryfunction only effect when Open switch.
2.Video QualitySetup
1) InSetup menu, Press the or button toselect Video Quality
Setup”and is highlighted.
2)Press the ENTER button, Brightness”is highlighted.
3)Pressthe or button toselect the other menus in the video
quality setup page.
4) Press to enter the sub menu.
5) Press the or button to adjustthe quantityand press the
ENTER to confirmyour selection.
6) Repeat steps3-5 for other menus.
Note: Press ENTER to return theprevious menu.

3. Password
With no disk inside the player, press SETUP toenter theSetup menu.
Press the or button to select Password SetupPage”and is
highlighted.Press ENTER to enter the password page.Press ENTER
twice to enter the Password Change Page. Input theOld Password or
the Default Password,the New Password,and Confirmed theNew
Password. Press ENTER to confirmthe change.
Note: Incase youforget newly-inputpassword, you canuse
3308 as apassword.
4.Preference Page
1) With no disk inside press SETUP”to enterSetup menu, use the or
button to select Preference Page”and is highlighted.
2) Press the ENTER button, Audio”is highlighted.
3) Press the or button to selectthe other menusinthe prefer-
encepage.
4) Press to enter the sub menu.
5) Press the or button to select the sub menu and press the
ENTER to confirmyour selection.
6) Repeat steps3-5 for other menus.

Note: Language and subtitle selection is only available for discs that
are recorded in some languages. If the selected language is not
available, the player will play and display on the screen the

d) Parental
Select ‘Parental’by pressing the or button in the preference
page. And Press to enter the sub menu. Select the parental level
you desire using or button for discs with lock-out function or
multiple rating levels. These are listed fromthe lowest level (1 Kid
Safe) to the highest level (8 Adult). Press ENTERand input 4digit
password, then pressENTER again to confirmthe parental level
setting.

This function only available in some countries or some disc.
e) Default
Select ‘Default’by pressing the or button in preference page.And
Press toenter the submenu. Press ENTERto makethe setting
return tothe factory-set mode.
NOTE: The parentalsetting is not affected by the default reset
function.The master password is 3308.This password is always
effectiveevenafteryou haveselected yourown passwordand
changed it.Toavoidthe possibilityof others using the default
password tosetthe parentalleveland change the password,you
can record thismaster password inanother area and delete it from
this manual. Some discs can be limited depending on the age of users
whilesomediscs cannot.

G. Connecting ToOther Equipment
1.AVOut
Connecting with a TV or another monitor
a. Slide the AV In/Out switch to Out.
b. Connect one end of the suppliedaudio/video cable’s black (1/8”stereo
plug)plug into theunit’s DVD’sAV jack, and connect theother end to
theAUDIOINPUTjacks onyourTV or Monitor throughan optionalRCA
cable(white=leftchannel,red = rightchannel,yellow =fideo).
2.AVIn
Using “AVJacks”connecting to aGame (Onlyfor games from
this manufacturer) or Camcorder.
a. Slide the AVIn/Out switch to In.
b. Connect one end of the suppliedaudio/video cable’s black (1/8”stereo
plug)plug into theunit’s DVD’sAV jack, and connect theother end to
theAUDIOOUTPUT jacks on your Gameor Camcorderthroughan
optional RCA cable(white = left channel, red = right channel,yellow =
video).
3.SD Card andU Disc
1)Put SDcard intothe SD slot andpress DVD/SD-USB to‘SD’and enjoy
picture and MP3 etc.
2)Put USB disc into the USB jack andpress DVD/SD-USB to‘USB’and
enjoy picture and MP3 etc.

H. Playing Audio CDs
When playing an audio CD press the DISPLAY button constantly on the
remotetoview timeinformation.The options belowappearonscreen
displayin sequence to showyou what information isavailableusing
this function.
CD Display Mode
SingleElapsed: The current track playingand playing timeof that
trackwill display on the screen.
Single Remain:The currenttrackplaying and the amount of timeleft.
Total Elapsed: Thecurrenttrack playing and the total time that the
CDhas beenplaying.
Total Remain: The currenttrack playing and the amountof time
remaining on the CD.
Display Off: The CD time Information will not be displayed.

USINGTHEREPEATFEATURE
The default modefor the Repeat feature is OFF.Pressing REPEAT

Asyou toggle through theoptions,therepeatoption changes. The selected
repeatoption loopsrepeatedly untilyou turn it off.

I.Playing MP3Discs
MP3 is a format for storing digitalaudio. An audioCD-quality song is
compressed into the MP3 formatwith very little loss ofaudio quality
whiletaking up muchless disc space.CD-R /RWdiscs thathave
been encoded in MP3format are compatible with thissystem.
When a MP3 disc isinserted intothe unit, the menu screen appears
automatically.You can use the menu screen toselectyour desired
foldersand songsor the system playsthe songs inthe order they
were burned onto thedisc.
1. Press the or button to choose a folder from the folder list
on the leftside ofthe screen.
2. Press ENTER to select the highlighted folder. The songsavail-
able under the folder willbe listed.
3.Use or buttonto choose a song fromthelist. Press ENTER
to select and begin playback of the highlighted song.
4.Usethe ( NEXT )button tomove tothe nextsong.Press the
(PREVIOUS)button twice tomove to the beginning of the
previous song.

J.Playing MPEG4 Discs
MPEG4 is a compressed video file format without reduced visual quality.
DVD, CD-R/RWdiscsthat havebeenencoded inMPEG4formatare
compatible with this system.
Note: Only the files whose suffixis ‘avi’can be displayed.
The operationof a MPEG4Disc is the sameas the MP3discs. Using UP,
DOWN,LEFT,RIGHTto movethecursorand press ENTERto confirm.
*Press MENU to returnto the available menu.
USINGTHEREPEATFEATURE
The default modefor the Repeat feature is OFF.Pressing REPEAT

Trouble Shooting
Picture is distorted?
1. The disc might be damaged. Try another disc.
2. It is normalfor somedistortiontoappearduringforward orreverse
scan.
Noforward or reverse scan?
1. Somediscs have sections thatprohibit rapidscanning or titleand
chapter skip.
2.Ifyou try toskipthrough the warning information and credits at the
beginning ofamovie,you won’t be ableto.This part ofthe movies
often programmed toprohibit skipping through it.
IR sensor inoperative?
1.Verifythat the batteriesintheremotearefresh.
2. Verifythat theremotesensoreyeisnot obstructed.
3. Verify thatthe infraredtransmitteris affixedoverthesensor eyeof
the component tobe controlled.
Discwon tplay?
1.Insert adisc withthelabelside facingup.
2.Check the type ofdisc you putintodisc tray.This DVDonlyplays
digitalvideo discs, audio CDs and MP3s.
Playstarts, but then stops immediately?
1. Boththe unit and the disc are coded by region. If the regional
codesdon’t match, the disc can’tbe played. ThisDVDis Region
Number2.
2. The disc is dirty.Clean it.
3.Condensation hasformed.Allowplayer todry out.
