7. PREPARATION FOR WORK

Before all manipulations with the
adapter (for example, mainte-
nance), as well as during its trans-
portation and storage, disconnect
the battery from the adapter.

The charging time of the battery
depends on its capacity and the
current of the charger, and may dif-
fer from the specified range.
Do not use a different type of bat-
tery under any circumstances. The
lithium-ion battery has a built-in
deep discharge protection: when
the battery power is low, the adapt-
er will automatically turn off. For
further operation, charge the bat-
tery or replace it with a charged
battery. The lithium-ion battery has
a built-in overheat protection: when
the battery temperature becomes
critically high, the adapter will turn
off automatically. For further work,
wait 20–30 minutes for the battery
to cool down.

WARNING!
When using the adapter in an en-
vironment with high air tempera-
ture, the battery may heat up. In
this case, allow the battery to cool
down before charging.
After a long period of storage with-
out operation, the lithium-ion bat-
tery loses its charge (so-called
"self-discharge"). After long-term
storage, it is recommended to fully
charge the battery before use.
