Please read carefully before or during use of this product and make a correct and an effective use of Digital Mover N 503i
HYPER
Digital MOVER N 503i HYPER is your smart partner.
Please give a good care and use for a long time.
This is not used where the signal is not available such as inside tunnel, subway or inside the buildings or at
the area with weak signal and outside of service area since DOCOMO cell phone and automobile phone uses
wireless service. Also even the open area such us high-rise building and condos you may not able to use it.
Please note that your call may be interrupted even the 3 signal bars are on and during use without any
movement.
Please use this product at the public place, crowded area or quiet site with consideration to avoid annoying
others.
Your call may be heard by others since Digital Mover uses wireless signal. However this digital type offers
automated confidential conversation support and so the conversation will be converted to the noise for the
third party.
Sometimes real voice may be heard differently when the digital signal cannot be decoded when you are at the
place with not optimal signal condition, because Digital Mover communicates with wireless signal by
converting voice to the digital signals.
Please make a backup the information registered in the digital Mover. Please note we cannot be responsible
for the loss of information you had saved in it.
Customers shall accept to use SSL with own judgment and responsibility. Please acknowledge that
DOCOMO and Authentication companies listed separately will not guarantee any safety issues of SSL and
will not have any liability for any damages occur.

How to Insert a Space
Place the cursor at the position right in front of the text where you want to insert a space, and press
When You Want to Insert a New line
* When entering text in an iMode text box (see P. 303) or typing the content of an iMode mail (See P. 362), heading
(see. P. 369) or signature (see P. 370), you can insert a new line by pressing the ENTER key ( ). However, when you
press the ENTER key for a short mail or a pocket-bell text message, it will be displayed only as a space on the other
party’s screen.
* When you press for one second, will be entered.
* You can also insert a new line by selecting “Insert a Line” from the submenu displayed on the text input (editing)
screen.
* can be deleted or over-written in the same way as other text.
* is counted as one double-byte character.
Important!
It might be not possible to insert a new line while editing in the iMode text box.
When You Want to Enter Lower-case Text
You can switch a letter to the lower case, by pressing after you press a button for the letter, which can be used in
the lower case, or by pressing the button corresponding to the letter after displaying the sub-menu on the text entry
(editing) screen and selecting “Switch to Lower Case.” Also when a letter is displayed in the low case, you can switch it
to the upper case by pressing or selecting “Switch to Upper Case” on the submenu.

You can perform the following operations by displaying the submenu on the text input screen.
* Switching between Upper/Low Cases: The display will go back to the text input screen, and the text will switch
between Upper Case ⇔Low Case.
* Switching between Single-byte/Double-byte: The display will go back to the text input screen, and the text will
switch between Single-byte ⇔Double-byte.
* Input Symbols
* Input Pictograms
* Insert Preset Phrases: The display will move to the screen for selecting preset phrases.
* Insert a Line: The display will go back to the text input screen and will be entered.
* Insert/Overwrite Mode (See P.65): The display will go to the text input screen, and the mode will switch between
Insert Mode ⇔Overwrite Mode.
* Copy, Cut, Paste (See P.72): The display will go back to the text input screen, and from there you can copy, cut
and/or paste the text.
* Switching between Kana-input and Pocket-Bell input: The display will go back to the text input screen, and the
text input method will be switched between Mode1 ⇔ Mode 2.
The items, which cannot be input from the text input screen on the submenu, or functions, which cannot be
selected from the text input screen on the submenu, will be displayed in gray.

Important Pictograms can be used when inputting the text in the Text Memo (see P. 188), registering present
phrases (see P. 156) and creating an “iMode mail.”
Additional explanation
When the text you want to type in can be input only in the single-byte format, it will be shown in the single-
byte format only. In the cases of registration of mail addresses (see P. 77), search by address (see P. 45),
entry of iMode mail addresses (see P. 362), URL entry (see P.349), and registration of host names for
setting telephone numbers to be connected (see P. 458), only the symbols that can be used will be
displayed.
When You Select “Insert Preset Phrases”:
When you select “Insert Preset Phrases,” you will see a screen where you can choose a
preset phrase folder. Preset phrases are already registered in the Preset Phrase Folders
1 and 2 (see P. 156). You can also register your own phrases. You can retrieve the preset
phrases in the Preset Phrase Folders 1 and 2 through voice search (see P. 218).
The folder 3 through 5 will not be displayed if there is no preset phrases registered therein.

How to Enter Emoticons
When you type in and convert “Face” (Kao) or “Face text” (Kaomoji), you will see a list of available emoticon
options. From there, you can easily input those emoticons in the email text, etc.
If you type in the meaning of an emoticon in Hiragana, it will change into the respective emoticon. For example, if
you type in “Sayonara” (bye), then it will change to “ .”
