1PRECAUTIONS
Sanit hot wat r tanks must b install d by qualifi d staff in complianc with applicabl
r gulations.
Any work must b carri d out by th official T chnical Assistanc S rvic , as any chang s to its
configuration could caus functioning rrors and could damag th syst m and its surrounding
nvironm nt.
This applianc can b us d by childr n ag d from 8 y ars and abov and p rsons with r duc d
physical, s nsory or m ntal capabiliti s or lack o xp ri nc and knowl dg if th y hav b n
giv n sup rvision or instruction conc rning us if th applianc in a saf way and und rstand th
hazards involv . Childr n shall not play with th applianc . Cl aning and us r maint nanc shall
not b mad by childr n without sup rvision.
Th l ctrical main pow r supply conn ction must r sp ct th curr nt l gislation, making
possibl a compl t disconn ction of th tank, in ord r to mak any maint nanc op ration
saf ly. Look "Diagram and l ctrical conn ction" chapt r.
Th hydraulic installation must b mad by qualifi d t chnicians, in complianc with th curr nt
installation r gulations.
1.1 Frost preca tions
Wh n th r is dang r of frost, and particularly in ar as with v ry low t mp ratur s, pr cautions
will n d to b tak n to pr v nt damag to th installation. It is r comm ndabl to add anti-
fr z to th wat r in th primary circuit of th tank. Th anti-fr z us d must b compatibl
with public h alth r gulations and it must not b toxic. DOMUSA TEKNIK r comm nds th us
of propyl n glycol, consulting th product manufactur r b for us .
If th installation is to b out of us for a long p riod, drain all the water from the tank.
1.2 Water characteristics
Th wat r must comply with th charact ristics d fin d in th T chnical Building Cod , and
must b tr at d if n c ssary.
Th wat r must b in accordanc with Dir ctiv 98/83 / EC on th quality of wat r int nd d for
human consumption. Sp cial att ntion must b paid to th following param t rs:
- Maximum chlorid conc ntration: 250 mg / l.
- Maximum sulphat conc ntration: 250 mg / l.
- Maximum conc ntration of chlorid s and sulphat s: 300 mg / l.
- Maximum conductivity: 800 µS / l.
Wh n th chlorin conc ntration in th Dom stic Wat r xc ds 250 mg / l., it is r comm nd d
that anti-corrosion prot ction should b appli d to th insid of th int r-accumulator so as to
avoid its pr matur d t rioration. As an option DOMUSA TEKNIK suppli s l ctronic cathodic
prot ction that is suitabl for th Sanit int r-accumulator rang . To install it, r ad car fully th
ass mbly instructions that ar provid d with th sam .

3 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
3.1 Hydra lic installation
Sanit hot wat r tanks ar pr par d to b p rman ntly conn ct d to dom stic wat r supply
n twork, by m ans of DHW inl t. Th maximum pr ssur admitt d is sp cifi d in "T chnical
charact ristics" chapt r.
Th hydraulic installation must b mad by qualifi d t chnicians, in complianc with curr nt
installation r gulations and taking th following r comm ndations into account:
- Th s condary circuit (or dom stic wat r circuit) is to b quipp d with a saf ty valv ,
calibrat d to a maximum of 0,7 MPa (7 bar).
- Th saf ty valv outl t must always l ad to a drain.
- To avoid continuous l aking from th D.H.W. saf ty valv , w r comm nd th installation of a
D.H.W. xpansion c ll.
- Th primary circuit (or h ating circuit) for th doubl chamb r tanks must b provid d with a
saf ty valv , calibrat d to a maximum of 3 bar.
- Aft r installing th tank, firstly fill and pr ssuris th s condary circuit (dom stic wat r circuit).
- Aft r doing so, proc d to fill th primary circuit. Ensur th s condary circuit is full b for
filling th primary circuit.
- Plac di l ctric sl v s on th s condary circuit conn ctions.
- If th cold-wat r pr ssur is high r than th pr ssur th applianc is d sign d for, a pr ssur
r duc r should b install d, calibrat d to no high r than th d sign pr ssur .
- To pr v nt h at loss through th hot wat r pip s in accumulation syst ms, an anti-th rmal
siphon must b install d at th hot wat r tank outl t. Th hot wat r pip must b insulat d (at
l ast up to th anti-th rmal siphon).
- A copp r r turn circuit should not b us d.
To drain th hot wat r tank, first drain th primary circuit and th n th s condary circuit.
3.2 Location
Th hot wat r tank must not b install d outdoors or in a plac wh r it may b xpos d to
w ath r incl m nci s.
To optimis n rgy us , th hot wat r tank should b install d as clos as possibl to th hot wat r
g n rator.
Wh n choosing a location, tak n into account th w ight of th full hot wat r tank, and mak sur
it is prot ct d against frost. Th pip s should b lagg d in complianc with h ating r gulations.

Although Sanit units ar quipp d with all th n c ssary compon nts for functioning, DOMUSA

3.2.2 Cathodic protection

3.2.6 DHW safety valve
All Sanit hot wat r tanks ar d sign d to work
at a maximum DHW pr ssur of 0,7 MPa (7 bar).
To pr v nt this pr ssur from b ing xc d d,
DOMUSA TEKNIK r comm nds fitting a saf ty
valv to th DHW circuit, calibrat d to a
maximum of 0,7 MPa (7 bar). Th saf ty valv
will always discharg into a drain. To install th
valv , car fully r ad th ass mbly instructions
suppli d with it.
