3. Surfaceof mattress must be at least 5inches(127mm) below the upperedge of guardrails.
4. Do not allow children under6yearsof age tousethe upperbunk.
5. Prohibit morethan one person on the upperbunk
6. Periodicall, check and ensurethat the guardrail, ladder, and othercomponentsarein theirproper
position, free fromdamage, and that all connectorsaretight.
7. Do not allow horseplayon orunderthe bed and prohibit jumping on the bed.

wall, the guardrail that runsthe full lengthof thebed should be placeagainst the wall toprevent
entrapment betweenthe bed and wall.
