Hard drive
Installing/changing the hard drive is a simple process.
The hard drive must be a 2.5’ IDE type. The hard drive should be set as “MASTER” or
“SINGLE MODE” if those settings are available. Replacing your current hard drive will not
normally involve any changes. Follow the description of the correct procedure below. Remember
that the hard drive may need to be formatted after installation, see next chapter.
Important!
Remove any static electricity from your body before you open the unit. The simplest way is for you to touch a
(neutral) pipe in the heating system or an unpainted water-pipe.
1. Open the unit by pressing in the tab on the back and then removing the back panel.
Remove the lid on the upper side.
2. Remove the circuit board by sliding it backwards.
3. When replacing the hard drive, turn the circuit board and loosen the four screws. Pull the
hard drive straight back to remove.
To install: align the hard drive with the circuit board’s contacts and carefully insert the
hard drive until it is in full contact; line up the screw holes on the underside. Insert the
four screw that x the hard drive.
4. Put the circuit board back by sliding it along the grooves. Replace the lid and the back panel.

the player will be connected use Windows 98SE/ME, Mac 9.0 or later, Linux 2.4 or later, it must
be formatted with FAT32.
How to format the hard drive
Windows 2000/XP or later
1. Connect cd200 to your computer with the USB cable supplied.

Troubleshooting
What should I do if I’ve connected cd200 to a PC, but nothing happens?
1. If you are using Windows 98, you should install the driver rst. The le is called
“Win98_Mpeg4 Player.exe” and can be found on the CD supplied.
2. Connect the DC adapter to cd200
3. Reformat the hard drive (follow the directions in the software section). Be careful to
select the right option when asked about the desired le system. FAT 32 works with
Windows 98/SE/ME/2000/XP. NTFS only works with Windows 2000/XP. Bear in
mind that all data on the drive will be lost when reformatting.
Why is there no picture in my monitor or TV?
1. Check that the correct channel has been selected on the TV or the monitor. See the
respective manuals.
2. Change video mode by repeatedly pressing the VIDEO button on the remote control.
When you have got a normal picture, save the conguration in Video Setup.
I’ve connected the audio cables correctly, so why is there no sound?
1. If you are using the stereo sound (white, red), check the volume control.
2. If you are using the coaxial connection you should congure this as “Encoded Digital” in
Audio Setup. Check that your surround system is set correctly.
I’ve transferred all data from a DVD lm, but now I can’t nd it.
Put all les belonging to the same lm together in the same folder. Make sure that VIDEO_ Make sure that VIDEO_Make sure that VIDEO_
TS.IFO is in that folder and start the video with that le.
I’ve activated the MP3 Quick Play function, but I don’t want music playing while
I look at my pictures. What should I do?
It is not possible to deactivate that function, but you can temporarily rename the “music” le to
something else. It is simpler to lower the volume completely or press MUTE.
I want subtitles when I watch my lm, what do I do?
The subtitle le must be in the same folder as the lm. If the lm is the AVI type, the subtitles
must have exactly the same le name as the lm.
If the device still does not work, please contact the place of purchase for service. Don’t forget the
receipt or a copy of the invoice.
