6.Waking upto Buzzer,Radio orCD
There arethreealarm sourcestoselect: buzzer,radioandCD. Havingset the alarm
timeandthealarm source, theproperalarm (buzzer,radioorCD)willsoundat your
pre-set alarm time.

7. Setting the Sleep Time

before the set turns itself off. This isusefulif you want to fall asleep to music or if you
just want to hear about an hour of music without changing anysettingsor switches.

•Donotleavethe player in alocation
near heat source, or in aplacesubject
to direct sunlight,excessivedust or
mechanicalshockorvibration.
•Do not placethe player on an inclined
or unstable place.
•Do not placeanything within 1inchof
the back of the cabinet. The ventilation
holesmust beunobstructed forthe
player to operate properlyand prolong
the life of itscomponents.
•Since astrongmagnetis usedforthe
speakers, keeppersonalcredit cards
usingmagneticcodingorspring-wound
watchesawayfrom the speakertoprevent
possibledamagefrom themagnet.

•As thelaserbeamusedintheCDplayer
section isharmfultotheeyes, donot
attempt to disassemble thecasing. Refer
servicingtoqualifiedpersonnel only.
•Should anysolid object or liquid fall into
the player,unplug the player,and have
it checkedbyqualifiedpersonnel
before operating it anyfurther.
On powersources
•For battery backup,you mayusea9V
battery (optional), sothatyouwill not
haveto re-set the clockeverytimethe
power is lost.The radio will not playwith
the9V battery.You will justsave time by
nothaving toreset allthetimes andalarms.
•The nameplateindicating operating
voltage,powerconsumption,etc. is
located at the bottom of the set.
Onoperation
•If the player isbrought directlyfrom a
cold to awarm location, or isplaced in
averydamproom,moisturemay
condenseonthe lensinside the CD
playersection. Shouldthisoccur,the
player will not operate properly.In this
case, removethe CD andwait about
an hour for the moisture to evaporate.
Notes on CDs
•Before playing, clean the CD with a
cleaningcloth.WipetheCDfromthe
centerout.
•Do not usesolvents suchasbenzine,
thinner,commercially available cleaners
oranti-static spray intendedforvinyl LPs.
•DonotexposetheCDtodirectsunlight
or heatsources such as hotairducts,
norleaveit in acarparkedin direct
sunlightastherecan be aconsiderable
risein temperature inside thecar.
•Do notstick paperorstickers on theCD,
norscratchtheCD.
•Afterplaying,storetheCDinits case. If
thereisascratch, dirtorfingerprints on
theCD, it maycause atracking error or
skipping.

If your disc isbadlyscratched, it will not
play.You may be able to repair the disc if
you buyadisc polisher.
Cleaning thelens
•This CDplayerisdesignedtobeplayed
on a stable no vibration position. If you
bump the set during CD play,the music
