PoweringUp
Plug the ACpower cordinto a120V,60Hzelectrical outlet. The clock
displaywill lightupandflashindicatingthepowerison.
NOTE: Thiscord ispolarized.Thismeansthe cord willonlyfitone
wayintothesocketorwalloutlet.Ifitdoes notfit,donotforce
it, justreverseit and tryagain.
BATTERYBACK-UP
If the ACcord isdisconnected or ifthere isashorttime power failure,
this electronicclock and timerare designed tocontinueoperating
internally(withoutshowing the timein the display)ifa9voltbattery(not
included)isinstalled.
Theradiowill workfine withoutthisbackupbattery.
NOTE: Youmay checktheconditionofthebatteryeveryfewmonths
bydisconnectingtheACcordandconnectingitagain2or3
minuteslater.Thepresettimeswillshow.Ifthetimeflashes, it
indicatesthe batteryisdeador not connected properly.
Setting theClock
1.Pressand hold theTIMEset button togetherwith the FORWARD
button until the displayshows the desired hour.
2.Press and hold the TIME set buttontogetherwiththeREVERSEbutton
until thedisplayshowsthedesired minutes.
NOTE: Whenthe PM indicator isoff, the time isAM.

GETTINGBETTERRADIO RECEPTION:
ForbestAM reception, rotate the radio asmall amount or position it
nearthewindow.
Forbest FMreception,unwrapand fullyextendthe FMantennawire.
WARNING: Donot connect the FMantennatoan outdoorantenna.
Playing theRadio
1. Slide the FUNCTION switchto ON position.
2.Slidethe BAND switch toeitherAMorFM.
3.TurntheTUNINGcontroltoyourdesiredstation.
4. Adjustthe VOLUMEcontrol to yourfavorite listeninglevel.
5.SlidetheFUNCTIONswitch toOFF positiontoshutofftheradio.
Waking up to Radio(Alarm)
1.Setthealarmtimeas previouslyinstructedandslidetheALARM
SETbuttontoALARM 1,ALARM2orALARM 1+2.
2.Selectyour desired AM or FM broadcastbyfollowing the procedure
ofPlayingtheRadio.
3.Makesurethe VOLUME controlisset loudenough towake youup.
4.Slide the FUNCTIONswitchtoAUTOpositionandtheALARM1,
or ALARM 2or both indicators willlight up(depending on what you
selectonstep 1).
NOTE: Yoursetisnowreadytoturnonautomaticallyatyour
selectedalarmtime(s).
5.Whenalarm sounds,to get 7minutesof extra sleep, pressthe
SNOOZEbutton.
6.Toshutoffthealarm,pressALARM/SLEEPOFFbutton.

Setting theAlarmTimes
Thissethasdual alarms.YoumaysetALARM1towakeyouat acertain
time,orALARM2towakeyouatadifferenttime,or ALARM1+2-both
alarmswill sound at thetimesyouset.
Thisfeature isuseful forahusband &wife waking up at different times
orasinglepersonwholikestowakeup atdifferenttimesduringweek
days or weekends.
TosetALARM1,slidetheALARMSETswitchtoposition 1.
5.ReleasetheALARMbutton, the clock displaywill showthe normal
timeof day.Pressthealarmbutton to display thealarmtime.
TosetALARM2,slidetheALARMSETswitchtoposition 2.
1.UsetheALARM buttontocheckthealarmtime.
2.Pressandhold the ALARMbutton togetherwiththeFORWARD button
until the displayshows the desired alarm hourtime.
3.Press and hold the ALARMbutton togetherwith the REVERSE button
untilthe displayshows the correctalarmminutes.
4.Make sure thePMlampisoffifyou wanttheclocktowakeyouinthe
morning.
NOTE 1:Againcheck the PM indicator.If youwant the radioto
wakeyou inthe morning, the lampabovetoPM should
beoffon alarmtime (whenpressingALARMbutton).Tochange
PM toAM time,advancetime 12 hours.
NOTE2: TowaketoALARM1time, slide ALARMSETswitchto position 1.

When thissethas waken you up and youwish tosleep afewminutes
more,simplypresstheSNOOZEbutton.Theradioorbuzzerwillgooff
for7minutesandthen come on again. Thisisrepeated in arow.
AlarmOff
1.Press ALARM/SLEEP OFF button. Thiswill shut the alarmforthat
day only.Next daythesetwillwakeyou againat the sametime.
2.Slide theFUNCTION switchtoOFF positionandthealarmfunction
is off until youre-adjustthe FUNCTIONswitchtoAUTOor BUZZ.
Waking up to Buzzer (Alarm)
1.Set thealarmtimeas previouslyinstructedandslidetheALARM
SETbuttontoALARM 1,ALARM2orALARM 1+2.
2.Slidethe FUNCTIONswitchtoBUZZpositionand theALARM 1,
or ALARM 2or both indicators willlight up(depending on what you
selectonstep 1).
3.Thebuzzeralarmisnowsettoturnonautomaticallyatthe
selectedalarmtime(s).
4.Whenbuzzer sounds,to get 7minutesof extra sleep, pressthe
SNOOZE button.
5.Toshutoffthealarm,pressALARM/SLEEPOFFbutton.
SleepControl
TheSLEEP controlwillallowthe radiotoplay59minutesbeforethe
radioturns itselfoff.
1.Slide the FUNCTION switchto BUZZ orAUTOposition.
2.PresstheSLEEPbutton, thedisplaywillshow59minutes
and the radio will startto play.
3.Pressthe SLEEP button downtogether with theFORWARDor
REVERSEbuttonuntil thedisplayshowsyourdesiredamount of
time youwanttheradio to play beforeshuttingitselfoff.
4.Releasebothbuttons.Theradio willplayforthetime youselected
andshut itselfoff.
5.Toturntheradiooffbefore theplayingtimehasexpired,simplypress
the ALARM/SLEEP OFF button.
NOTE: Thesleepfunctionwillnotaffectthewake-upoperation ofthe
clockiftheFUNCTIONswitchisin AUTOor BUZZ position.
Inthemorning,theradio or buzzerwill wakeyou up ifFUNCTION
switchisin the AUTOor BUZZposition.
