NR: Not Rated-this means that programs are not rated or rating does not apply.
TV-Y:For all children-thistype of rated programs are designedfor a veryyoung audience,
including children fromages 2-6.
TV-Y7:Directed for older children - thistype of ratedprograms may includecomedic violence
of mild physical, or may frighten children under theage of 7.
TV-G:General Audience-this typeof rated programs contains little orno violence, nostrong
language, and little or no sexual dialogue and situations.
TV-PG:ParentalGuidance Suggested-this typeof rated programsmay contain limitedviolence,
some suggestive sexualdialogue and situations,and rare language.
TV-14:Parents strongly cautioned-this type of rated programs may contain sexual content,
strong language andmore intense violence.
TV-MA:Mature audienceonly-this type of rated programs may contain sexual violence,
explicit sexual contentand profane language.
FV: This type ofrated programs contain Fantasy and cartoon violence.
Violence: This typeof rated programscontain violence.
S: This type of rated programs contain sex.
L: This type of rated programs contain offensive language.
D: This typeof rated programscontain dialogue withsexual content.
