Menu Functions
Video Set Up:
Pressing MENU button once willbring the Picture Set Up menu on the TV.
The following isshown on yourTV screen:
Follow the procedure below toadjust the
picture quality ofyour choice:
1.Press the CH(+) and CH(-)button to go
up and downthe menu.
2.Press the VOL(+) and VOL(-) button to
increase and decreasethe level toyour
preference for eachitem.
Adjustment of Picture Quality:
Toadjust the picturequality from thefactory preset readthe following:
Picture: By increasing the level. It will adjust white areas of picture and bydecreasing the level,
it will adjustblack areas ofpicture.
Brightness: By increasingthe level, itwill add morelight to darkparts of the picture and by
decreasing the level,itwill add moredark to lightparts of thepicture.
Color: By increasingthe level. Itwill adjust the low and thehigh level of the picture.
Sharpness: By increasingthe level, itwill show cleanerand clearer imagesand by decreasing
the level, itwill make picturesmoother.
Color Temp : Bypressing the VOL(+/-) buttons to select the three setting A)Neutral, B)Warm,C)Cool.
Hue: You can adjust the tint of the picture by going into picture set up menu. By decreasing the
level, it willgive red tintto skin colorand by increasingthe color itwill give greentint to
skin color.

Sleep Time: This feature allows you to turn off television in pre-selected minutes (180,
170,160, ........,10 and 0).
Remind time:
Ch. Switch: Thisfeature lets youstore your favoritechannel. Once youstore the
channel number inthis function, whenthe set timeis up, itwill switch over
to the set channel. This feature is used withthe Exchange feature.Press
VOL(+) or VOL(-) button to select thechannel.
Press CH( +/-) buttons toscroll to Clock,then press VOL (-/+) buttons to set

Language: Use VOL(+/-) to select the OSDin either English,French orSpanish.
Background: Press the VOL (+/-) buttons to select between Background ON or Background
OFF. When the Background ON function is chosen, amoving"NO SIGNAL" signwill
be displayed ifthere is noinput signal tothe set.
Black Stretch: Press VOL (+/-) buttons to turn the Black Stretch feature on or off. When the
Black Stretch functionis on thescreen automatically increasesthe contrast range.
VNR: Press VOL (+/-) buttons to turn the VNR function on or off. VNR isa term forVideo
Noise Reduction, a built-in device on theset that reduces video noise interference
so the vieweris assured aclear picture.
C.Caption: Press VOL (+/-) buttons to select the Closed Caption options. Closed
Captioning helps thehearing impaired withthe broadcast program,as well ashelping
children learn howto read. A built in decoder displays the audio portion of aprogram
as text onthe screen whenthis option is selected.
OFF: When OFF is displayed on TV means C.Caption is turned off.
CC1: When Cc1displays on TV means C.Caption is turned on.
CC2 to CC4:For other modes of videorelated broadcast information.
T1: For program guide andother information displayedby broadcasters.
(This blocks a large portion of the picture on your screen).
T2 to T4:For other modes of informationdisplayed by broadcasters.
(This blocks alarge portion ofthe picture onyour screen).
Note: Select CC1for full translationof the primarylanguage such asEnglish in your
area. Select Cc2for secondary languagetranslation such asSpanish or anyother
language that maybe broadcast inyour area.
Fade: The FADE control allows for the picture tube to warm up and gently turn on,
which can help prolong the life of the picture tube.
Demo mode: Thiswill display themain functions ofthe TV set.
Automatic VolumeLevel control reduces the effectof large volume changes. For instance,
when advertisements comeon.

By pressing MENUbutton ,and thenpressing VOL-/+ button it willbring you to
Channel Set Up.Youwill see the following display on TV screen.

Antenna: Press VOL (+) button or VOL(-) button toselect TV orCATV.
Skip :Press VOL(+) button or VOL(-) button to addor delete thechannel from the
stored memory.
Current Ch. :Press VOL(+) button to go up and VOL (-) buttonto go downto set the
channel position. Thedisplay will show the current playingchannel.

Fine: If the picture and/orsound are poor, try usingthe FINE TUNE feature.
Do not usethis feature unlessreception is poor. Press VOL (+/-) to start theFine
Tune function.
Auto Program: Press VOL(+) button orVOL (-) button to autoprogram in channels.
This search automaticallyadds only theactive channels inyour area tothe TV's
memory. It deletes anychannels on which there is no broadcast or a poor signal.
Note: The AutoSearch function willscan the channelson the selectedantenna
input. If the TV is connected to cable, please select Cable underAntenna.
Calendar:
Your TV has beendesigned with acalendar. By pressing MENU button ,and then
pressing VOL-/+ button it willbring you toCalendar. You will see thefollowing
display on TVscreen.

calendar setup (1901.1.1-2099.12.31).

V-CHIP SetUP:
Press the MENU Button onyour remote controlto go toPassword menu, then input
the password (0000). It will bringParental Lock set up display on thescreen. You
will see thefollowing menu onyour screen:

Toset the V-CHIP function:
Select the TVRating option. You will see theTV Rating menu on yourTV screen:

Note: When Parental lock "ON"is selected, you will see "B"instead of "U".When
Parental lock"OFF" is selected,you will see"U" instead of "B".
PARENT LOCK OFF means the lock function is turned off . If the PARENT LOCK
is in "OFF"mode then V-CHIP function willnot be activeto accept the V-CHIP
signal.
PARENT LOCK ON meansthe lock functionis turned on.If the lock is in the"ON"
mode then V-CHIP function is activated to accept the V-CHIP signal.
Password
The "Default Password" preset by the manufacturer is "0000" . If you want to change
the preset passwordto your ownpassword, just chooseany four digitsthat can be
easily remembered andset. Once youset password fora particular channel,that
channel will beblocked. This channel can only be accessed with thepassword.
LOCK Menu
AV LOCK:When it is setON,you can not use the AV.
PROGRAM LOCK:When it is set ON,the current channel is locked,you can not see
the program ofthis channel.
