2.- INTRODUCCION:
PIHERNZ COMUNICACIONES, S.A. le agradece la compra de este Transceptor PMR-446. Este
equipo le permite comunicarse con tantos usuarios y tantas veces como desee, sin necesidad de una
licencia, suscripción o pago de tasas. Es muy fácil de utilizar por parte de cualquier usuario.
Lea atentamente este manual para conocer las funciones de las que dispone el equipo.
3.- INFORMACION DE SEGURIDAD:
- El uso de accesorios no originales o incompatibles pueden provocar una avería en el transceptor.
- Realizar modificaciones no autorizadas por el fabricante puede hacer que el uso del equipo sea
ilegal.
- Evite guardar el equipo y sus accesorios en lugares con elevada temperatura y/o humedad periodos
largos de tiempo.
- Si observa que el transceptor o cargador de baterías emiten olores extraños o humo, apáguelo
inmediatamente y acuda al Servicio Técnico.
- Para evitar posibles daños auditivos, ajuste el volumen al mínimo cuando vaya a utilizar un
microauricular y seguidamente ajústelo a un nivel confortable.
- No utilice un cargador de baterías distinto al suministrado con el transceptor.
- Retire la batería del transceptor si no lo va a utilizar durante mucho tiempo.
4.- ARTICULOS SUMINISTRADOS:
Desembale cuidadosamente el transceptor. Le recomendamos que en un primer lugar identifique el
contenido del embalaje según la tabla siguiente. Si faltara algún artículo o estuviese dañado,
póngase en contacto con su distribuidor o vendedor.

Nota:

5.- INSTALAR Y RETIRAR LA BATERIA:
Instalar la batería:
Coloque la batería en el compartimento asegurándose de que quede firmemente instalada.
Retirar la batería:
Sujete el transceptor con una mano, libere el pestillo de retención de la batería y retírela del
transceptor.

6.- CARGA DE LA BATERIA:
1.- Conecte el cargador de baterías a un enchufe cercano y de fácil acceso de 230 Vca.
2.- Coloque el transceptor con su batería en el receptáculo del cargador de baterías de sobremesa,
realice la carga de la batería con el transceptor apagado. El led indicador del cargador de baterías se
ilumina en rojo durante el proceso de carga de la batería y se iluminará en verde cuando la carga de
haya finalizado.
3.- Una vez finalizada la carga de la batería, retire el transceptor del cargador de sobremesa y
desconecte el cargador del enchufe de 230 Vca.
Nota:
- No realice la carga de la batería en ambientes con riesgo de incendio o de explosión.
7.- FAMILIARIZARSE CON EL TRANSCEPTOR:

8.- FUNCIONAMIENTO:
8.1.- ENCENDER Y APAGAR EL TRANSCEPTOR:
Mantenga pulsada la tecla [ON/OFF/F] para encender el transceptor.
Con el transceptor encendido, mantenga pulsada la tecla [ON/OFF/F] para apagar el transceptor.
8.2.- LED INDICADOR DE ESTADO:
Se ilumina en rojo cuando se transmite y se ilumina en verde cuando se recibe una señal.
8.3.- SELECCIONAR UN CANAL:
Con la función de bloqueo del teclado desactivada, pulse la tecla [CH+] para aumentar de canal y
pulse la tecla [CH-] para bajar de canal.
8.4.- AJUSTE DEL VOLUMEN:
Con el transceptor en espera (standby) y el squelch desactivado, pulse la tecla [VOL+] / [VOL-]
brevemente para ajustar el volumen deseado.
8.5.- TRANSMITIR Y RECIBIR:
Manteniendo pulsado el [PTT], hable dirigiéndose al frontal del transceptor. El led indicador de
estado se iluminará en rojo.
Para recibir, suelte el [PTT]. El led indicador de estado se iluminará en verde cuando se recibe una
señal. Si la señal recibida incorpora señalización QT/DQT coincidente con la programada en su
transceptor, el led se iluminará en verde y se escuchará la comunicación, en caso contrario sólo se
iluminará el led en color verde.
9.- AJUSTES:
Con el transceptor en espera (standby), pulse brevemente la tecla [ON/OFF/F] para acceder a la
función de ajustes, en la pantalla se visualizará el icono “F”.
9.1.- BLOQUEO DEL TECLADO:
Active esta función para evitar cambiar de canal por error.
Entre en el modo de ajuste pulsando una vez la tecla [ON/OFF/F] y seguidamente pulse la tecla
[VOL+] para bloquear el teclado y pulse la tecla [VOL-] para desbloquearlo.
9.2.- SQUELCH:
Pulse la tecla [ON/OFF/F] para entrar al modo de ajuste del squelch, visualizará NO., pulse de
nuevo la tecla [ON/OFF/F] para salir.
9.3.- ESCANEADO DE CANALES:
El escaneado se utiliza para buscar comunicaciones de otros transceptores. El escaneado se detendrá
cuando se encuentre un canal activo.
El transceptor permanecerá en el canal en el que se ha recibido la señal hasta que la señal
desaparezca. Después de que la señal desaparezca, el transceptor permanecerá en el canal durante 5

segundos más. Si durante este tiempo, se vuelve a recibir una señal, el transceptor continuará en el
canal.
Procedimiento de escaneado:
Durante el escaneado, pulse la tecla [CH+] para realizar el escaneado en sentido creciente, pulse la
tecla [CH-] para escanear en sentido decreciente. Cuando se detecta una señal válida, el transceptor
detiene el escaneado y el led indicador de estado se ilumina en verde.
Cuando la señal desaparece, el transceptor reanudará el escaneado y el led indicador de estado
parpadeará en verde.
Para desactivar la función de escaneado, deberá de apagar y volver a encender el transceptor.
9.4.- BLOQUEO DE CANAL OCUPADO (BCL):
La función de bloqueo de canal ocupado evita realizar una transmisión mientras se está recibiendo
una señal válida, puede configurarse mediante el software de programación, para más información
consulte con su vendedor.
Si no se recibe ninguna señal coincidente, no se activará la función. El bloqueo de canal ocupado
por señalización QT/DQT también está disponible en este transceptor. En este caso solamente se
activará esta función cuando se reciba una señal con señalización QT/DQT coincidente con la
programada en su transceptor.
9.5.- FUNCION VOX:
La función VOX (Transmisión activada por voz) puede configurarse mediante el software de
programación, para más información, consulte con su vendedor.
Puede programar un nivel de 1 a 9. Cuanto mayor sea el nivel, mayor será la sensibilidad.
Si el transceptor regresa al modo de recepción inmediatamente después de finalizar la transmisión,
el final de la comunicación puede que no sea correctamente transmitida, esto puede evitarse
ajustando un retardo en la función VOX.
9.6.- TEMPORIZADOR DE TRANSMISION (TOT):
Esta función evita realizar transmisiones prolongadas. Su vendedor puede programar hasta un
máximo de 10 minutos. El transceptor detendrá automáticamente la transmisión una vez alcanzado
el tiempo programado, emitiendo un tono de aviso. Suelte el [PTT] para desactivar el tono de aviso.
El tono de aviso puede ser programado de 0 a 10 segundos. El transceptor emitirá un “beep” para
recordar al usuario que el tiempo se agota en breve.
9.7.- SEÑALIZACION QT/DQT:
Su vendedor puede programar señalización QT/DQT en su transceptor mediante el software de
programación.
Cuando tiene programado un canal con señalización QT/DQT, solamente las señales recibidas con
la misma señalización que la programada en su transceptor abrirá el squelch.
Por esta misma razón, solamente podrán recibir su comunicación los transceptores que tengan
programada su misma señalización QT/DQT. Si su interlocutor tiene programada distinta
señalización, no escuchará la transmisión de su transceptor.

9.8.- AHORRO DE BATERIA:
Programe esta función para reducir el consumo de la batería. Para más información, consulte con su
vendedor.
9.9.- AVISO DE BATERIA BAJA:
El transceptor funciona cuando la tensión es mayor de 3.3 V.
El transceptor recibirá pero no transmitirá cuando la tensión de la batería es inferior 3.3 V y
escuchará un aviso de batería baja cada 20 segundos.

ADVERTENCIA:
La garantía es válida siempre y
cuando esté total y debidamente cumplimentada de forma
legible y clara, presente el sello del establecimiento
vendedor y tenga adjuntado el ticket o factura de compra
del aparato.
El aparato indicado en el presente Certificado está garantizado por un periodo de DOS
AÑOS a contar desde la fecha indicada en la factura o ticket de compra del aparato.
Esta garantía es única e intransferible, no pudiendo ser emitida de nuevo ni en original ni en
copia. La sustitución del aparto por avería del aparato, cualquier accesorio o pieza del mismo no
implicará prórroga de la garantía.
La garantía cubre la sustitución y reposición gratuita de todas las piezas que presenten
defectos en los materiales y componentes empleados en la fabricación y/o montaje del aparato.
La comprobación de los accesorios es responsabilidad del adquiriente en el momento de la
compra del aparato.
La garantía no cubre las posibles averías causadas por accidentes, instalación y uso
inadecuado, uso de accesorios no originales o incompatibles, conexión a una tensión distinta a la
especificada, ni reclamaciones debidas a deterioro en el aspecto externo por el uso normal y
reparaciones realizadas por personal ajeno al Servicio Técnico Oficial.
La garantía no cubre las baterías recargables ni aunque éstas formen parte del equipo
adquirido ya que se consideran material fungible. Su posible deterioro debe de ser comunicado en
un plazo máximo de QUINCE DIAS contados a partir de la fecha de compra del aparato.
La garantía quedará anulada en aparatos y accesorios en los que el número de serie haya sido
modificado, borrado o se presente ilegible.
Para hacer uso de la garantía es necesario entregar en el establecimiento vendedor o en
alguno de los Servicios Técnicos Oficiales el aparato averiado junto con sus accesorios y la
siguiente documentación:
1. Certificado de Garantía debidamente cumplimentado y sellado.
2. Factura o ticket original.
3. Descripción de la avería o defectos encontrados.
Si la reparación o sustitución del aparato no es posible, puede acudir al establecimiento
vendedor donde adquirió el aparato para que le sea devuelto el importe pagado (imprescindible
presentar el ticket de compra y el informe del Servicio Técnico Oficial).
La garantía queda amparada por los derechos de la Ley relativa a la Garantía en la venta de
bienes de consumo.

2.- INTRODUCTION:
• PIHERNZ COMUNICACIONES, S.A. he thanks him for the trust deposited in this PMR-446
Handportable Transceiver. This equipment let’s you talk to as many people you wish, as often as
you like, with no need for a license, subscription or tax payment. It is very easy to use by any user.
Please read through this manual carefully for many features of this transceiver.
3.- SAFETY INFORMATION:
- The use of non-original or incompatible accessories may cause damages in the transceiver.
- Making modifications not authorized by the manufacturer may make the use of the equipment
illegal.
- Avoid storing the equipment into high temperature or humid place for long time.
- If strange smell or smoke comes off the transceiver or battery charger, dispatch it to Technical
Service Center immediately.
- Turn to lowest volume if external mic/speaker is used, then adjust appropriately.
- Never use other power sources for charging other than the standard charger set designed for this
transceiver model.
- Remove de battery pack from the transceiver if not use for long time.

5.- INSTALLING AND REMOVING THE BATTERY PACK:
Installing the battery pack:
Place the battery pack into battery compartments making sure that it is firmly fixed.
Remove the battery pack:
Holding the transceiver in one hand, push the battery latch and remove the battery pack of the
transceiver.

6.- BATTERY CHARGING:
- Connect the battery charger into a nearby and easily accessible 230 VAC wall outlet
- Insert the transceiver with their battery into the charging slot of the desktop battery charger,
charge the battery pack with the transceiver turned OFF. The led indicator of the battery charger
lights up red during the battery charging process and will light green when the charging is complete.
- Once the battery charge is complete, remove the transceiver from the desktop charger and
disconnect it from the 230 VAC socket.
Note:
- Do not charge the battery pack in a fire or explosion areas.
7.- GETTING STARTED:

8.- OPERATION:
8.1.- POWER ON/OFF:
Press and hold the [ON/OFF/F] key about 1 second to power ON the transceiver.
While power ON, press and hold the [ON/OFF/F] key about 1.5 seconds to turn the power OFF.
8.2.- STATUS LED INDICATOR:
The led indicator lights red when transmitting and lights green when a signal is received.
8.3.- CHANNEL SETTING:
With the key lock function OFF, press the [CH+] key to increase the channel and press the [CH-]
key to decrease.
8.4.- VOLUME SETTING:
With the transceiver in standby mode and squelch OFF, press the [VOL +] / [VOL-] key briefly to
adjust the desired volume.
8.5.- TRANSMITTING / RECEIVING:
While holding the [PTT], speak in the microphone area. The LED indicator will light red during
transmission.
To receive, release the [PTT]. The LED indicator will light green when receiving. If the received
signal incorporates QT/DQT signalling matching with that programmed in your transceiver, the
LED will light green and the communication will be heard, otherwise the green LED will only light
up.
9.- SETTINGS:
With the transceiver in standby mode, press the [ON/OFF/F] key briefly to enter the settings
function, the “F” icon will be displayed on the screen.
9.1.- KEYPAD LOCK:
Turn ON this function to avoid changing the channels by error.
Enter to the setting mode by pressing the [ON/OFF/F] key once and then press the [VOL+] key to
lock the keypad and press the [VOL-] key to unlock.
9.2.- SQUELCH:
Press the [ON/OFF/F] key to enter squelch setting mode, will display NO., press the [ON/OFF/F]
key again to exit.
9.3.- SCAN MODE:
Scanning is used to search the communications from other transceivers. Scanning will stop when an
active channel is found.

The transceiver will remain in the channel where the signal has been received until the signal
disappears. After the signal disappears, the transceiver will remain in the channel for an additional 5
seconds. If a signal is received again during this time, the transceiver will continue in the channel.
Scan procedure:
In to scan mode, press the [CH+] key to increase, press the [CH-] key to decrease. When a matching
signal is received, the transceiver stops scanning and the status LED will lights green.
When the signal disappears, the transceiver will resume scanning and the status LED will blink
green.
To turn OFF the scan function, you must turn the transceiver OFF and ON again.
9.4.- BUSY CHANNEL LOCKOUT (BCL):
The busy channel lockout function avoids performing a transmission while a valid signal is being
received, can be configured by programming software, for more information consults your
salesperson.
If no matching signal is received, the function will not be turn ON. The QT/DQT busy channel
lockout is also available on this transceiver. In this case only this function will be turn ON when
received a signal matched with QT/DQT signaling that programmed into your transceiver.
9.5.- VOX FUNCTION:
The transmitting voice operated function (VOX) can be configured by the programming software,
for more information, consult your salesperson.
You can program a level from 1 to 9. The higher setting level is the greater sensitivity.
If the transceiver returns to receiving mode right after transmission, the rear of the communication
may not be properly transmitted, it can be avoided by setting VOX delay.
9.6.- TIME-OUT TIMER (TOT):
This function prevents prolonged transmissions. Your salesperson can program to a maximum of 10
minutes. The transceiver will turn OFF automatically the transmission once the programmed time
has elapsed, a warning tone sound. Release the [PTT] to turn OFF the warning tone. The warning
tone can be programmed from 0 to 10 seconds. The transceiver will sound a beep to remind at the
user that the time is out shortly.
9.7.- QT/DQT SIGNALING:
Your salesperson can program QT/DQT signaling on your transceiver by means programming
software.
When a channel with QT/DQT signaling is programmed, only signals received with the same
signaling as the one programmed on your transceiver will open the squelch.
For this same reason, only the transceivers that have their same QT/DQT signaling may receive
their communication. If the transceivers of your group are programmed with different signals, the
other users will not hear your transmission.
9.8.- POWER SAVE FUNCTION:
Program this function to reduce battery consumption. For more information, consult with your
salesperson.

9.9.- LOW BATTERY ALERT:

This warranty do not transferable and may not be do again in original or copy. The
replacement of the equipment by product failure, any accessory or part thereof does not involve
extension of the guarantee.
The warranty covers the replacement and free replacement of all parts that are damaged in
materials and components used in manufacturing and / or assembly of the equipment.
Checking the accessories is the responsibility of the purchaser at the time of purchase of the
equipment.
The warranty doesn't cover any damages caused by accidents, installation and improper use,
use of non original or incompatible accessories, connection to a different voltage than specified in
the instruction manual, or deterioration in external appearance by normal use and repairs that is
performed at other Official Technical Service.
The warranty doesn't cover the rechargeable batteries neither although these are part of the
acquired equipment since they are considered fungible material. Its possible deterioration should be
communicated in a maximum term of 15 counted DAYS starting from the date of purchase of the
equipment.
The warranty doesn't cover the equipment and accessories in those that the serial number has
been modified, erased or show up illegible.
To make use of the warranty it is necessary to surrender the equipment damaged in the sales
establishment or in some of the Official Technical Service together with their accessories and the
following documents:
1. Properly executed and sealed warranty certificate.
2. Original ticket.
3. Damage descriptions or defects.
If repair or replacement of the equipment is not possible, you can go to the salesperson
