Please follow the following instructions to ensure optimal performance of the
device:

• After the device has reached its
service life, please discard it in a
proper way to avoid environmental
pollution.
• This device belongs to Class
B product, which may cause
radio interference. Please take
necessary preventive measures.
• Please avoid exposure to bright
light or strong UV rays for a long
time.
• Please do not drop the product or
subject it to violent impact.
• Please avoid storing or carrying
this device with flammable and
explosive materials or corrosive
materials.
• Please only use the original power
adapter.
• Please do not wait until the device
is depleted before recharging, but
recharge as often as needed.
• Please do not charge the device
if the ambient temperature is too
high (above 50°C) or too low
(below 0°C).
• Please do not place the device in
extremely cold or hot areas, which
will shorten the battery life and
cause the device to malfunction,
even if the battery is fully charged.
• Please do not put the device in a
re.
• If the device is not used for a long
period of time, it is better to fully
charge the device every 3 months,
as excessive discharge of the
device may aect its full capacity.

• Touch screen: to interact with the device through simple or multi-touch
gestures by touching the screen with a special stylus or one or more ngers.
• Keyboard: including numeric keys, letter keys and special function keys, etc.
52 keys.
• Mircophone: to make recording, phone calls, etc.
• Wi-Fi/Bluetooth indicator:
* Green: Wi-Fi is on.
* Blue: Bluetooth is on.
* Light blue: Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are on.
• Power indicator: during charging:
* Red: the power is less than 90%.
* Green: the power is greater than 90%.
• GPS indicator: when the location information is on, the green light is always
on.
• Camera: to shoot photos.
• Speaker: to transmit music, sound and voice.
• Scrap hole: to x the strap.
• Bracket mount: to connect the handheld and bracket.
• Strap: to take the handheld.
• Left side button & right side button: user-dened buttons.
• SIM/TF card slot: to insert SIM card and TF card.
• Type-C port: to transmit data, video and audio as well as provide charging
power, supporting USB OTG.

• Homepage button: to back to the homepage.
• Menu button: to conduct home settings / create widgets / change wallpaper.
• Shift button: to dene the denition of the grey area:
* Short pressing it: to switch between Chinese and English input methods.
* Long pressing it: to switch between numbers keys and function keys or
switch between the upper case of English input and lower case.

• Tab button: to insert tab characters.
• Numeric buttons/special character buttons: to input numbers (0-9) or
input special (red) charaters via Shift key.

• Letter buttons: to input letters (A-Z).
• Power button: to power on/o P9III.
• Return button: to return to the previous screen.
• Survey button: to start data collection if the current interface is the interface
of land survey software; otherwise, to switch to the interface of land survey
software.
• Conrmation button: to conrm information.
• Direction buttons: its function diers in the denition of the grey area:
* Numeric keys: to move up (↑), down (↓), left (←) and right (→) in the
screen or menu.
* Function keys: to increace (↑) or reduce (↓) volume, or to lock the capital
(→).
• ± button: its function diers in the denition of the grey area:
* Numeric keys: to input -.
* Function keys: to input +.
• Space button: to input space characters.
• Decimal point button: to input a decimal point.
• Undo button: to delete one character forward in inputting characters.

RESTART
SHOOT THE SCREEN
Press and hold the power key until the options menu
shows, and select "Power o" option to shutdown.
Press and hold the power key until the options menu
shows, and select "Restart" to restart the system.
To take a picture of your phone's screen
(screenshot), do one of the following:
• Press and hold the power key until the options
menu shows, and select "Screenshot".
• Swipe down from the top of the screen, and
select "Screenshot".
• Make sure special characters buttons are
enabled, press the power key and volume down
key at the same time for a few seconds
The start-up time is about 20 seconds.
Press and hold the power key and release your nger until you feel the device
vibrate a little.
If the device has been idle for a period of time, the screen will automatically turn
o and go into sleep mode.
Press the power key to wake the device.

INSTALL THE BRACKET
INSERT A SIM/TF CARD
1. Put the bracket onto the bracket mount.
2. Tighten the screw.
3. Put the bracket onto the survey pole.
4. Fix the bracket.
The disassembly process is the reverse of the installation process.
1. Flip the device to its rear, and remove the strap.
2. Open the SIM/TF card slot.
3. Push the cover of the SIM/TF card backwards.
4. Face the SIM/TF card metal contacts downwards, and push
the SIM/TF card into the slot.
CHARGE THE DEVICE
The device should be fully charged at rst use, which lasts about 4 hours. And its
endurance can reach more than 20 hours. The adapter is overcharge protected.
1. Insert one end of the power cable into the type C port of the device, and
insert another end of the power cable into the power adapter.
2. Insert the power adapter into a power outlet to charge.

HOMEPAGE
Folder
• To create a folder, drag the application icon onto another on the homepage.
• To rename the folder, tap the folder, and tap "Unnamed Folder" area, and
input a new name.
Conduct home settings / Create widgets / Change wallpaper
Press and hold a blank area on the homepage, and select "Home settings" /
"Widgets" / "Wallpapers". Alternatively, press the menu button.
Notication area
To open the notication panel, hold
the status bar and drag down.
Application icons
• To see all applications, swipe
upwards on the homepage.
• To move an application, press
and hold the icon, and drag it
to the desired location on the
homepage.
• To remove an icon, press and
hold the icon, and drag up to
the “Remove” icons.
Shortcut panel
To add a shortcut icon, press and
hold the icon and drag it down to
“Shortcut panel”.
After powering on the device, swipe upwards on the screen to unlock the
homepage. The layout of homepage is as follows:

TRANSMIT DATA
This operation is applicable to windows 7, windows
10 and windows 11. You can transmit data via the
local disk or Bluetooth.
Via the local disk
1. Insert the type C end of the power cable into the
type C port of the device, and insert the USB
end of the power cable into your computer.
2. Swipe down from the top of the screen, and tap
, tap the option
again. "USB Preferences" page shows.
3. Tap "File Transfer". The device drive shows in
your computer.
4. Open the device drive, select the target files
and paste/move the les into your computer.

Via the Bluetooth
1. Open the app "File Manager", and select the target le to be transmitted.
2. Tap in the lower left, and select "Send selection" → “Bluetooth”, and tap
"SEND". The device starts to search the Bluetooth device.

3. Turn on the Bluetooth of your computer, and select
the target Bluetooth device via P9III.
4. Select "Receive a File". The file starts to be
transmitted.
5. After le transmission, select the target le path to
save the received le.

SELECT DEVELOPER OPTIONS
1. Open the app "Settings", and tap "About phone".
2. Continuously tap "Build number" 7 times. The prompt "You are now a
developer" shows.
3. Return to the previous page.
4. Tap "System", tap "Advanced", and tap "Developer options".
5. Select the target developer options.

SELECT DEVELOPER OPTIONS
1. Swipe down from the top of the screen during
inputting data, and tap "Android System-
Change keyboard" in the notication area.
2. Select a input method.
UPDATE THE SYSTEM
CHANGE AN INPUT METHOD
If there is a updated version of the system
rmware under networked status, the update alert
will be automatically pushed in the notification
area.
1. Swipe upwards on the homepage, tap the
application "System update".
2. Do one of the following:
* Under networked status, tap "Check
update", and start to update the system
according to tips if there is a updated
version.
If there is no updated version, a prompt
"No available update" shows.
* Install the SIM card with the updated
package, tap "Install update from SD-
Card", select "File Manager", find the
updated package in the target file path,
and start to update the system according
to tips.
You can use third-party input methods on the device, and change the input
method during inputting data.

CUSTOMIZE THE BUTTON DEFINITION
You can freely dene the action of survey button, left side button and right side
button. After the customization, you can quickly access to the target application by
short pressing the button.
Survey button is customized to access the land survey software "Surpad" by
default.
1. Open the app "Settings", and tap "Button".
2. Tap each button, and select the target acition.
