Remo ing the Old Thermostat
Pry open the thermostat using a sma screwdriver on the visib e seam on the bottom, top and
sides. The disp ay part wi disconnect and a ow the thermostat to be turned around to revea the
wiring connections. Take care not to pu out the wires as you remove them from the wa . The
thermostat’s circuit board wi remain attached to the front side of the thermostat. Take note of the
three wires eading into the wa of the RV.
Before removing the wiring, write down the co or of the wire and the termina to which each
wire connects. We recommend taking a picture of the wiring before remova . GE’s wire termina s are
abe ed: GND, COMMS and +12V. Re ease each wire from its connection by unscrewing each sma
screw on the termina b ock. Remove the wa attachment screws from the wa bracket forming the
back ha f of the GE thermostat. Tape the wires to the wa to avoid osing them in the opening.
Using the push button terminals
Figure 1 shows a screwdriver depressing the push button
connector. The si ver gate is opened for the wire to be inserted. Re easing
the button traps the wire and makes the connection.
Remove approximate y 3/8 inch (1cm) of insu ation from the wire
to be inserted. Use a sma screwdriver (not provided) or simi ar too to
push down on the square push button. Insert the wire in the insertion
space and press the push button. Verify the connection by gent y pu ing
on the wire. Do not force excessive wire down into the connector. If the
stripped wire end is onger than 3/8 inch, cut the end so there is no bare
wire sticking out when proper y inserted.
Wiring the Thermostat
There are three termina s on the back of EasyTouch RV Mode 347 abe ed SIG, GND, and 12V.
They wi be connected to the push termina s on the back of the EasyTouch thermostat. Use the
information in Tab e 1 to determine the connections.
