1) Select CD function mode and load the CD-R(W) disc you are going to nalize.
2) Press the nalize button (27) during CD stop mode. “FIN-D” appears on the LCD display (2) (press the
“CD STOP” button to quit nalize mode if necessary).
3) Press the “PLAY/PAUSE” button (17) to start nalizing and the LCD (2) will show “BUSY” during the process.
4) After completion, the CD door will open automatically and the “NO TOC” indicator will disappear from LCD (2).
NOTE:-
- The time for nalizing is subject to the contents of recorded and it may take up to 15 minutes in some cases.
- No buttons work during the nalize process.
- Never turn off the power or un-plug the power cord during nalize process.
- the CD-R disc cannot be recorded again after nalizing.
- Although nalized CD-R disc may be played on ordinary CD players, remember that nalized CD-RW
disc may not play on ordinary CD players.
- Owing to the variance of the compatibility of CD-R or CD-RW disc from the market. please change
to other one if you nd the recording performance of existing one is not up to satisfaction. this is not a
malfunction of the system.
IV) ERASE OR UN-FINALIZE A CD-RW DISC
It is possible to erase the last recorded track or erase a whole record disc on CD-RW discs. To erase the
last track of a nalized CD-RW you must un-nalize the CD-RW rst.
A) UN-FINALIZE A CR-RW DISC
1) Set to CD function mode and load the CD-RW disc you would like to un-nalize.
2) Press the “ERASE” button (24) when in CD stop mode & the display will show “UNF IN-D”. Then press
the “PLAY/PAUSE ” button to start erasing and “BUSY” will disappear from the LCD (2).
3. When nished, the display will show total track nr. and total playing time of the disc and “NO TOC”
indicator will appear.
B) ERASE ONE TRACK
1) In CD function mode insert the un-nalized CD-RW disc that you would like to delete a track from.
2) Press the “ERASE” button (24) while in CD stop mode, “ER” and the last track nr. will appear on the LCD screen (2).
3) Press the “PLAY/PAUSE ” button to start erasing the last track, “BUSY” will appear on the LCD (2).
4) When nished, the LCD will return to showing total track nr. and total playing time of the disc and the
“NO TOC” indicator will appear.
5) Repeat step 5 and 7 to continue erasing further tracks.
C) ERASE ALL TRACKS
1) In CD function mode insert the un-nalized CD-RW disc that you would like to delete a track from.
2) In CD stop mode press and hold the “ERASE” button (24) until “ERASE ALL” appears on the LCD (2).
3) Press the “PLAY/PAUSE” button to start erasing, the display will show “BUSY” during erasing.
4) The LCD(2) will show “0000000” to conrm the erase process is completed.
NOTE:-
- This operation cannot be undone.
- CD-RW discs recorded on other systems cannot be erased one by one in this unit but it may be
possible to erase all tracks.
