BATTERY INSTALLATION
The battery compartment is located on the back of the remote control.
1) Remove the battery compartment door by pressing in on the tab and lifting it off.
2) Insert two (2) AAA size batteries (not included) into the battery compartment
following the polarity markings inside the battery compartment.
3) Replace the battery compartment door.
BATTERY PRECAUTIONS
• Replacement of batteries must be done by an adult.
• Do not mix old and new batteries.
• Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries.
• The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.
• Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.
• Exhausted batteries are to be removed.
• Only batteries of the equivalent type are to be used.
• Batteries are to be inserted with the correct polarity.
• Dispose of batteries properly. Do not dispose of batteries in re. The batteries may explode or leak.

CAUTION:-
This product contains a class 1 laser component, and should be only used as described in this
manual. This unit should not be opened, adjusted or repaired by anyone except qualied
service personnel.

PRECAUTIONS FOR USE
INSTALLATION
• Unpack all parts and remove protective material.
• Do not connect the unit to the mains before checking the mains voltage and before all other
connections have been made.
• Do not cover any vents and make sure that there is a space of several centimetres around the
unit for ventilation.
INSTALLATION OF COUNTER WEIGHT
1) Slide the counter weight completely into the rear of the tone arm until it reaches the end.Turn it
clockwise until it engages with the screw mechanism.
2) Twist the counter weight clockwise &
backward until it reaches the white line
as per g 2.
3) Holding the silver portion, twist the
counter mark dial until it reaches the
“1“ postition - g 3.
4) Twist the counter weight anti-clockwise & inward until it reaches the appropriate working pressure.
NOTE:-
The working pressure of the provided stylus is in the range of 4 – 6 grams. According to the
cartridge manufacturer, all styluses have their own working pressure and please refer to the
specication for any replacement stylus.
CONNECTION
1) Connect the speaker wires to the speaker jacks (42) located on the rear side of the unit.
2) Connect the power cord (44) to an AC outlet.
LISTENING TO RADIO
MANUAL TUNING
1) Press the power button (7) to switch on the unit and slide the function switch (20) to the
“tuner” position.
2) Select FM or FM-Stereo using the FM/FM-ST switch (22).
3) Tune to the required station by turning the tuning knob (25).
4) Adjust volume button (15) to the desired volume level.
FM & FM-STEREO RECEPTION
1) When setting the FM/FM-Stereo switch (22) to the “FM” position, programs are received in
mono mode. In particular when stereo signals are weak it is preferable to recieve this program
in mono.
2) Setting the FM/FM-Stereo Switch (22) to the “FM-ST” position will receive programs in stereo.
The FM-Stereo LED indicator (4) will light up to show an FM stereo program is being recieved.
HINTS FOR BEST RECEPTION
FM: The receiver has a built-in FM wire attena (43) hanging at the rear cabinet. This wire should
be totally unravelled and extended for best reception.

PLAYING A COMPACT DISC
GETTING STARTED
1) Slide the function switch (20) to the “SOURCE” position. The LCD display (2) will show “PLS
SELECT FUNCTION”. Then press the CD function button (12).
2) The LCD display will show “BUSY” and then “NO DISC” if the CD compartment is empty.
3) Press the CD tray eject button (28) to open the CD tray (6).
4) Place a CD with the printed side facing up in to the tray and press the eject button to close the drawer.
5) A search is performed and the LCD display (2) will show “BUSY” and then display the total
number of tracks & total playing time.
PLAY / PAUSE MODE
1) Press the “PLAY/PAUSE ” button (17) to start playback, the rst track will start playing.
2) To interrupt, press the “ PLAY/PAUSE ” button (17) once, the playing time will freeze on the
LCD display (2). Press again to resume normal playback.
STOP MODE
1) If the “CD STOP ” button (18) is pressed during the play or pause mode, the CD will go to the
STOP mode and display the total number of tracks on the LCD display (2).
SKIP MODE (SKIP UP / SKIP DOWN ) /
1) During play or pause mode, if the “SKIP UP ” button (21) is pressed, it will go to the next track.
2) During play or pause mode, if “SKIP DOWN ” button (21) is pressed it will go back to the previous
track.
NOTE:-
Before pressing the “CD TRAY EJECT” BUTTON (28) to change a disc, press the “CD STOP” button (18).
- The reaction time of the CD burner is longer than a normal CD player due to the nature of the system.
- Pressing all the different functions within a short time, and not waiting for it to take effect, may cause
malfunction of the system. Please re-start the unit if this happens
- The reading and playback time of a CD-R(W) disc varies from brand to brand. It depends on the
compatibility of the disc. .
- This device is only designed for the normal Compact Disc format and does not support any
MP3/WMA formats.
REPEAT/RANDOM MODE (BY REMOTE CONTROL)
Press the repeat/random button before or during playback, a single trick or all the tracks can be played in
different modes, as follows:-
(1) REPEAT ALL TRACKS (2) REPEAT 1 (3) OFF MODE

REPEAT PLAY (BY REMOTE CONTROL)
You can listen to the desired track or entire disc repeatedly using this function.
RANDOM PLAY MODE (BY REMOTE CONTROL)
Pressing the random buttom on the remote control will activate the shufe play function and the random
indicator “RAN” will show on the LCD display (2). Press the stop button to stop the unit and cancel the
random play function.
CD DISC PROGRAMMING (BY REMOTE CONTROL)
Up to 32 tracks can be programmed for CD playback. Be sure the system is in stop mode
before programming:-
1) Set in CD mode & stop disc playback.
2) Press the “PROGRAM” button, the “PROG”indicator will appear on LCD display (2). Also it will
indicate program no. (p-xx) and digits for the track no. to be programmed.
3) Select a desired track by pressing SKIP UP OR DOWN / buttons.
4) Press the “PROGRAM” button to store the track in to the memory.
5) Repeat steps 3 and 4 to enter additional tracks into the memory if necessary.
6) When all the desired tracks have been programmed, press CD “PLAY/PAUSE ” button to play the
disc in the assigned order.
7) To cancel the programmed playback, press “STOP ” button on remote handset until the “PROG“
indicator disappears on LCD display (2)
NOTE:-
After programmed playback you can delete the programmed tracks in order from the last one to the rst
one. after the playback starts press the stop button to set the unit in stop mode, press the “clear“ button
on the remote control and one by one the tracks will be deleted from the memory.
RECORDING FUNCTION
Apart from the CD playback function you can perform CD recording from phono / tape / AUX mode
respectively. All the recorded tracks will be stored in “AUDIO-CD” format. Before starting, place a blank
CD-R or CD-RW disc in the CD tray (6). The disc is able to record if the LCD display shows the “NO
TOC” indicator.
NOTE:-
CD-R discs can be recorded once only and do not support erase or re-record function. The playback
quality of CD-R(W) discs varies and is dependant on the source material.
IMPORTANT NOTICES:-
The revolving speed of a CD burner is higher than a normal CD mechanism. Thus, some mechanical
noise and vibration of unit cabinet may occur during operation. This is not a malfunction of the system.
due to the variance in quality and compatibility of CD-R(W) discs from different suppliers please change
to another brand.

A) RECORDING MODE
I) PHONO RECORDING
1) Slide the function switch (20) to the “SOURCE” position, then press the “PHONO” function button (13).
Place a record on the turntable & get ready for playback.
2) Press “REC ” button (23) and the recording will be in pause mode. Press the CD “PLAY/PAUSE ”
button (17) to start recording, the play indicator “ ” will show on the LCD display (2).
3) After a few seconds, the LCD (2) will show the time counter and conrm that the recording process has
started. Now start the playback of the record to be recorded.
4) After completing recording, press the “STOP ” button (18) and then stop the playback of vinyl record.
II) CASSETTE RECORDING
1) Slide the function switch (20) to the “SOURCE” position, then press the “TAPE” function button (11).
Place the recorded cassette tape in to the cassette slot (31) ready for playback.
2) Press “REC ” button (23) and then the CD “PLAY/PAUSE ” button (17) until the play indicator “ ”
shows on the LCD display (2).
3) After a few seconds, the LCD (2) will show the time counter and now the system has started the
recording process. Push the cassette tape in to the cassette compartment to start playback.
4) After completing of recording, press the “STOP ” button (30) and then stop the playback of the
cassette tape.
III) AUX-IN RECORDING
1) Slide the function switch (20) to the “SOURCE” position, then press the “AUX” function button (14).
Connect the headphone / line out socket from an audio device (such as MP3 player, CD player etc) to
the 3.5mm aux-in jack (10) via a 3.5 mm connecting cable (not provided).
2) Repeat the same procedures from step 2 to 4 as described on the other recording modes from above.
3) Adjust the volume output level on your audio player device if the recording level is too high and is distorting.
NOTE:-
The recording speed is 1:1 and relative to the actual playing time of the playing source
To pause the recording process, press the “PLAY/PAUSE ” button (17), “BUSY” briey appears on the
LCD and the recording is paused. To re-start, press the “PLAY/PAUSE” button (17) again until the play
indicator “ ” shows on the LCD display (2).
B) RECORDING SETTINGS
I) RECORDING LEVEL
The preset recording level of the system is lower than the original music source in order to avoid
distortion during recording except aux-in recording mode.
II) TRACK SEPARATION
You can divide the recorded music, track by track, anytime during recording by pressing the track
separate “ ” button (26) once and the system will generate a new track and continue the
recording. the word “BUSY” will briey show on LCD display (2), this just means the unit is creating
a new track successfully.
III) FINALIZE A CD-R(W) DISC
You must convert the CD-R(W) disc into a standard audio CD before playing on other audio CD players.
This process is known as nalizing and a table of contents (TOC) will be written to the CD at the same time:-

1) Select CD function mode and load the CD-R(W) disc you are going to nalize.
2) Press the nalize button (27) during CD stop mode. “FIN-D” appears on the LCD display (2) (press the
“CD STOP” button to quit nalize mode if necessary).
3) Press the “PLAY/PAUSE” button (17) to start nalizing and the LCD (2) will show “BUSY” during the process.
4) After completion, the CD door will open automatically and the “NO TOC” indicator will disappear from LCD (2).
NOTE:-
- The time for nalizing is subject to the contents of recorded and it may take up to 15 minutes in some cases.
- No buttons work during the nalize process.
- Never turn off the power or un-plug the power cord during nalize process.
- the CD-R disc cannot be recorded again after nalizing.
- Although nalized CD-R disc may be played on ordinary CD players, remember that nalized CD-RW
disc may not play on ordinary CD players.
- Owing to the variance of the compatibility of CD-R or CD-RW disc from the market. please change
to other one if you nd the recording performance of existing one is not up to satisfaction. this is not a
malfunction of the system.
IV) ERASE OR UN-FINALIZE A CD-RW DISC
It is possible to erase the last recorded track or erase a whole record disc on CD-RW discs. To erase the
last track of a nalized CD-RW you must un-nalize the CD-RW rst.
A) UN-FINALIZE A CR-RW DISC
1) Set to CD function mode and load the CD-RW disc you would like to un-nalize.
2) Press the “ERASE” button (24) when in CD stop mode & the display will show “UNF IN-D”. Then press
the “PLAY/PAUSE ” button to start erasing and “BUSY” will disappear from the LCD (2).
3. When nished, the display will show total track nr. and total playing time of the disc and “NO TOC”
indicator will appear.
B) ERASE ONE TRACK
1) In CD function mode insert the un-nalized CD-RW disc that you would like to delete a track from.
2) Press the “ERASE” button (24) while in CD stop mode, “ER” and the last track nr. will appear on the LCD screen (2).
3) Press the “PLAY/PAUSE ” button to start erasing the last track, “BUSY” will appear on the LCD (2).
4) When nished, the LCD will return to showing total track nr. and total playing time of the disc and the
“NO TOC” indicator will appear.
5) Repeat step 5 and 7 to continue erasing further tracks.
C) ERASE ALL TRACKS
1) In CD function mode insert the un-nalized CD-RW disc that you would like to delete a track from.
2) In CD stop mode press and hold the “ERASE” button (24) until “ERASE ALL” appears on the LCD (2).
3) Press the “PLAY/PAUSE” button to start erasing, the display will show “BUSY” during erasing.
4) The LCD(2) will show “0000000” to conrm the erase process is completed.
NOTE:-
- This operation cannot be undone.
- CD-RW discs recorded on other systems cannot be erased one by one in this unit but it may be
possible to erase all tracks.

LISTING TO A TAPE
GENERAL OPERATION
Slide the function switch (20) to “SOURCE” position, the LCD display (2) will show “PLS SELECT
FUNCTION” then press the tape button (11).
CASSETTE PLAYBACK: The system will start playback automatically after insertion of the
cassette tape.
STOP AND EJECT: Press the “TAPE FORWARD / EJECT” button completely inward
and the cassette tape will stop playing and be ejected.
FAST FORWARD: Press the “TAPE FORWARD / EJECT” button half in during
playback and the tape will start fast winding forwards.
The “TAPE FORWARD / EJECT” button will keep at middle
height position, slightly press the “TAPE FORWARD / EJECT”
button again to resume normal playback. The “TAPE FORWARD /
EJECT” button will resume to the highest position.
NOTE:-
- Make sure the direction is correct when inserting the tape into the system.
Some searching noise can be heard during fast forward mode, return to normal play mode to
listen to the tape.
- It is recommended to remove the cassette tape from the system every time after listening and
not to leave the cassette tape inside the system when not in use.
PHONO
OPERATION
Remove the stylus protector.
Be sure that the tone arm lock is disengaged from
the tone arm before operating and re-secured again after use.
1) Slide the function switch (20) to the “SOURCE” position.
The LCD display (2) will show “PLS SELECT FUNCTION”,
press the phono button (13).
2) Set the speed selector (39) to the appropriate position
depending on the record to be played.

3) Place the record on the turntable (use the spindle adaptor if required).
4) Set the cueing lever (37) to the up position.
5) Lift the tone arm from the rest and slowly move it to the record side. The turntable will start to
rotate and position the tone arm over the desired position of the record.
6) Pull down the cueing lever (37) and the tone arm will lower slowly on to the record and start playback.
7) When the record ends, the tone arm will return to the rest position automatically.
8) To stop manually, lift the tone arm from the record and return it to the rest.
PLAY SUSPENSION
Set the cueing lever (37) to the up position to lift up the tone arm and stop playback temporarily.
PLAY EJECTION
Press the eject button (16) anytime during playback to return the tone arm to the rest
position immediately.
NOTE:-
- Due to the varying length of different records if you nd that the tone arm does not return
automatically after playback please press the eject button and return the tone arm back to the
rest position.
- Users should not change to a magnetic cartridge system, otherwise the unit cannot be
connected to an aux-in of a music-center
ADJUSTMENTS
ANTI-SKATING CONTROL
Set the anti-skating control (36) to the position which corresponds to the adjusted stylus working
pressure. If the working pressure is 2 grams, the anti-skating control also to be set at 2. The
working pressure of the stylus provided is between 4 to 6 grams, always start at the lowest
pressure and only increase if skating issues occur.
PLATTER SPEED ALIGNMENT
During playback of a record, observe the appropriate strip of the stobe calibration dots from the
strobe lens. The upper one is for 33 RPM and the middle one is for 45 RPM.
If the strobe dots appear to owing to the right, it means that the platter is revolving slower than
the rated speed, turn the pitch control (40) in the “ + ” direction. If the strobe dots appear to be
owing to the left, it means the platter is revolving faster than rated speed, turn the pitch control
(40) to the “ – ” direction.
Adjust the pitch control (40) until the strobe dots do appear to be stationary without moving
left or right.

TONE ARM STOPPING POSITION ALIGNMENT
PLEASE READ THE NOTES BEFORE MAKING ANY ADJUSTMENTS
The position of the tone arm to complete playback and return to the rest station can be adjusted
using the alignment screw (34). Before starting the alignment please remove the rubber grommet
covering the hole:-
A) IF THE SYSTEM DOES NOT COMPLETE PLAYBACK OF THE RECORD AND
RETURNS EARLY
1) Using a cross head screwdriver turn the alignment screw (34) clockwise, as per g 1 above,
the stopping and eject position of the tone arm will move closer to the centre of the record
before automatically returning to the tone arm rest.
B) IF THE TONE ARM DOES NOT RETURN TO REST POSITION AUTOMATICALLY
2) Using a cross head screwdriver turn the alignment screw (34) anti-clockwise, as per g 2
above, the stopping and eject position of the tone arm will move further away from the centre of
the record, meaning the tone arm will return sooner to the tone arm rest.
NOTE:-
- The stopping position is very subjective, the ex-factory setting is based on the most
common template.
- Only make an adjustment if the stopping position causes a problem with the majority of your
records, remember there will always be exceptions with different records.
- Avoid over turning of the screw inside, it only requires small adjustments.
LINE OUT CONNECTION
You can connect this system to a separate audio / hi- system by connecting the line out socket
(41) to the auxiliary input socket of the other unit with an RCA cable (not included).
X-BASS SOUND EFFECT
Press the x-bass button (19) to activate the x-bass function to enhance the bass effect in the
“ON ” position.

The infra-red transmitter requires 2 x AAA size battery for operation (batteries not included)
BUTTON DESCRIPTION
1) PLAY/PAUSE in CD mode, press once to start playback. Press again to enter
pause mode.
2) SKIP UP /DOWN press to select previous / next tracks in CD mode.
3) STOP in CD mode, press to stop playback.
4) CD press to select CD function.
5) PHONO press to select phono function.
6) REC press to activate CD
recording function.
7) REPEAT in CD mode, press
to activate repeat
play function.
8) DISPLAY press to change CD
playback information.
9) ERASE press to erase or
un-nalize a CD-RW disc.
10) OPEN/CLOSE press to open and close the
CD tray.
11) PROGRAM in CD mode, press to activate
programming function.
12) TAPE press to select tape function.
13) AUX press to select aux input function.
14) RANDOM in CD mode, press to activate random play function.
15) CLEAR press to clear the programmed tracks.
16) TRACK SEPARATION press to generate a new track during recording.
17) FINALIZE press to nalize the CD-R(W) disc after recording.
18) VOLUME +/- press to adjust the volume level.
