INTRODUCTION
Congratulations on your purchase of the newoberdome™ oven!
The oberdome is a patented oven that features our exclusive Domelok™
Heat Technology. This new technology roasts and bakes up to 51% faster
than conventional roasters and ovens. Additionally, foods cooked in
the oberdome retain far more moisture resulting in juicier meats, moist
cakes, crispier roasted veggies and casseroles and tastier foods. You’ll
be saving energy and providing a healthier way to cook meals for your
family and friends!
Almost anything you can cook in a conventional oven, you can now cook
in the oberdome! The oberdome is great for cooking a variety of foods
including cakes, cookies, bread, pizza, hot dogs, baked potatoes, ribs
and even frozen chicken nuggets & french fries. The large capacity of the
oberdome enables you to cook multiple food items at the same time
(e.g. baked potatoes and ribs) for complete meals in one step.
Because of the oberdome’s lightweight and compact design (compared
to traditional ovens), it is portable and suitable for year-round cooking.
And due to its size and energy efcient heating, the oberdome can be a
primary use oven for small living spaces or an extra oven in the kitchen !

be heated to set temperature and ready to use in just 5-8 minutes. Note that the unit will not heat

15. If there are juices or liquid in the bottom pan, it can be drained by carefully

BE CAREFUL TO AVOID BURNS FROM THE HOT LIQUID
ROASTING MEAT AND POULTRY:
• This oberdome unit is designed to cook up to a 6 pound chicken that has
been fully thawed. Due to expansion caused by ice, if the chicken is not
completely thawed, it may not t in the oberdome. Please make sure the
chicken is completely thawed before cooking. If unable to t the chicken
completely in the oberdome (with the lid properly seated in the bottom pan)
use a smaller sized chicken.
• To ensure proper cooking of the bottom portion, it is important that the
chicken always be placed on the included cooking rack. Cooking without the
rack may cause the bottom portions of the chicken to not cook completely.
• The oberdome cooks chickens in much less time than a conventional oven
or roaster and does not require a separate browning step. Chicken and other
poultry should be cooked to an internal temperature of 165°F. (Refer to
cooking chart on page 13). Individual cuts of meat and personal preference
may dictate longer or shorter roasting times.
• Use of a meat thermometer is recommended to ensure doneness.
• Hams labeled “Cook Before Eating” have not been cooked and must be
thoroughly cooked to an internal temperature of 145°F . Hams labeled
“Fully Cooked“ do not require further cooking but heating to 140°F may
improve the avor.

10
BAKING AND OTHER USES:
The unique shallow bottom pan design of the oberdome makes it much
easier and convenient to use as an everyday baking oven compared to
traditional roasters and ovens due to the ease of putting foods in and taking
them out. There is no deep well that can make access to food difcult. Our
exclusive Domelok Heat Technology roasts and bakes faster and uses much
less energy than traditional roasters and built-in ovens. Baking with the
oberdome is quite simply, a lot of fun.
Using a variety of baking pans and forms like the ones shown below are
standard in almost every household, the foods that you can make with the
oberdome are limited only by your imagination.
To use the oberdome as a baking oven, all you need to do is use the
included cooking rack in the higher position. Preheat the oven for 5-7
minutes. Remove the lid, placing on the provided cooling racks and place
the cooking rack in the middle of the bottom pan. Place the baking pan or
form with the food on top of the cooking rack, replace the Dome lid, set
your temperature and set a timer to ensure proper cooking. In just a few
short minutes, you will have hot fresh baked goodness and aromas lling
up your kitchen.
Important Note Regarding Faster Cooking Times: Due to the faster
cooking time of the oberdome, please make sure you adjust your recipe
accordingly to reduce the cooking time and avoid burning. Because your
items are baked more quickly, they come out more moist and less dry
than using traditional baking methods.

11
Here’s a few of the many great foods that your new oberdome is great
• Pizza (Fresh or Frozen). Up to 10 inches. It is recommended to use a
at nonstick baking pan rather than a pizza stone as the pizza stone can
take a long time to heat up. Also, if the outside crust has cheese on it, we
recommend to cover the outside edge around the pizza with aluminum foil
to keep the edge cheese from burning.
• Cakes (Bundt, Spring Form Pan, or 8-inch round Pans). Place pan with cake
batter on low cooking rack position.
• Cupcakes. Using small cupcake form on low cooking rack position.
Recommended maximum 4 form pan.
• Brownies. Use standard 8-inch round baking pan on low cooking rack
position.
• . Spread
out evenly in a single layer on a at baking pan on higher cooking rack
position.
• Baked Potatoes. Wrap in aluminum foil and place on cooking rack in the
higher position.
• BBQ Ribs. Use your favorite dry rub or BBQ sauce. Wrap marinated ribs in
aluminum foil, place on high position of cooking rack and cook.
• Hot Dogs & Buns. Place hotdogs on a at baking pan, place on high
position of cooking rack and cook until the skin begins to split. Warm buns
for the last 5-7 minutes of cooking time.
• Lasagna. Place lasagna in a 8-inch round cooking pan and place cooking
pan on the lid rest / trivet
• . Put
on a at baking pan on cooking rack using the higher rack position.
The possibilities are endless and limited only by your imagination.

ROAST CHICKEN
Ingredients
One 5.5 pound Chicken
Directions
1. If frozen, thaw chicken according to grower’s instructions. Rinse under cool
water outside and inside of the cavity. Pat dry. Truss the chicken to pull legs
together and bring wings closer to body (optional).
2. Preheat oberdome to 450°F.
3. Place the chicken onto the Reversible Rack and into the Bottom Pan using
the Low Rack setting (see page 8). Place Dome Lid on Bottom Pan, turn
heat down to 400°F. Roast for 70 minutes then test for doneness. Meat
thermometer in thigh should register 165°F or grower-inserted thermome-
ter should pop up when internal temperature has reached recommended
temperature. Refer to Cooking Chart on page 14.
Continue roasting if more
time is needed.
4. When completely cooked, allow bird to rest 10-15 minutes before serving.
5. In the meantime, carefully transfer the juices and drippings from the base
of the oberdome to a sauce pan (via pour spout in the pan) and reheat on
the stove top on moderate heat, stirring constantly. Stir in a simple lump-
free mixture of very cold water and our or cornstarch (for thickener) and
if too thick or more gravy is desired, extend with chicken broth. If too thin,
add more of the thickener, always being careful to stir or whisk the thick-
ener to avoid lumps. It will take about ve minutes for gravy to thicken.
Once desired quantity and consistency of gravy is achieved, carefully add
salt and pepper to taste.
Comments: The ability of the oberdome to retain ample drippings and juices (as seen
in photo) without undue loss to evaporation likely explains why no basting was needed
in order for the chicken to achieve the crisp brown skin noted in the picture above.
Also, the white meat was remarkably moist. There is room in the oberdome for roasting
two chickens simultaneously.
