INTRODUCTION
Eclipse by Fujitsu
Ten would like to congratulate you on your purchase of the Eclipse
Integrated Series. These speakers have been meticulously engineered
to give you
unparalleled performance, value, and years of trouble free listening enjoyment. With
the use
of high tech materials designed for mobile use, such as rubber surrounds, mica
filled polypropylene cones, aMylar® composite dome material
on the tweeters, and a
Kapton® voice coil former, these speakers will hold
up to the harshest of conditions.
In order for you to get maximum enjoyment out of your new Eclipse speakers, we
recommend that you spend afew minutes and read through this manual.
We do,
however, recommend that your Eclipse speakers be professionally installed by
your authorized Eclipse dealer. Speaker installations normally require specialized
knowledge and tools
in order to successfully complete the task. Your authorized
Eclipse dealers have the experience and equipment necessary to flawlessly complete
your speaker installation
in afraction of the time it will take you. For the more
adventurous, this manual does give you the basics
on installing your Eclipse speakers,
but if you have any doubts at all, please leave the installation to the professionals.
The tweeter in every EclipseIntegratedseries speaker is protected from overpower
by a solid state device. If you apply excessive power to the speaker, this device
will momentarily shut down the tweeter circuit as an indication that too much
power is being delivered to the speaker. Should you experience this warning,
simply reduce the power to the speaker and normal operation will resume ..

WIRING YOUR SPEAKERS
At this point, you will need to look at the instructions to your CD player, tape deck,
or external power amplifier
in order to verify the proper connections. If you are using
the wire supplied with your Eclipse speakers, the wire with the black stripe
is the
negative wire, and should be hooked to the negative output ofthe amplifier. The solid
wire
is the positive wire, and should be hooked to the positive output of the amplifier.
Pay careful attention to this. If you reverse polarity of one speaker, the low frequency
output
of the pair will be greatly reduced. (see diagram below)

REAR DECK MOUNTING
When installing your Eclipse speakers on the rear deck
of your vehicle, you will
follow the same instructions as above as far as choosing agood location. The only
exception
is that the high frequencies from rear deck mounted speakers will reflect
off ofthe rear window. Low frequencies will also
be enhanced from the loading effect
ofthe rear window, making the rear deck an ideal location for your Eclipse speakers.
As far as the actual installation
is concerned, you will follow the same instructions as
Door Mounting With Existing Holes, or Door Mounting Without Existing Holes, with
one exception: some vehicles require the speakers to be bottom loaded. For those
applications, we have supplied all ofthe necessary hardware to complete the task,
along with the diagram below.
