1 Allgemeines
Das Wachstauch- und Dubliergerät / elektrischer Wachskocher kann für unterschiedliche
Anwendungen in der Herstellung von Otoplastiken und IdO-Hohlschalen eingesetzt werden:
a) für das Wachsen der Ohrabformungen (Abdrücke) mit dem hochwertigen Tauchwachs
(REF 41201)
b) zum Schmelzen von Dubliergel (REF 40900) für die Herstellung von Negativformen
c) zum Schmelzen von Klebewachs (4110ff) zum Fixieren der Abdrücke in Einbettformen oder
auf dem Einbett-Set
Das Gerät besteht aus einer Wärmeplatte sowie einem Materialbehälter inkl. Deckel als
Schutz gegen Verunreinigungen.
Das Gerät ist nach dem Stand der Technik gebaut und einfach zu bedienen.
Wir empfehlen zur Temperaturkontrolle des Tauchwachses, bzw. des Dubliergels oder des
Klebewachses das Digitalthermometer (REF 65002) sowie die dazugehörige Halterung (REF
65007). Für den Wachsvorgang benötigen Sie das Tauchsieb (REF 65004), mit dem Sie den
Abdruck in das flüssige Wachs tauchen.
2 Sicherheitshinweise
Das Wachstauch- und Dubliergerät / elektrischer Wachskocher wird zum Er-
wärmen von Tauchwachs bzw. Dubliergel und Schmelzen von Klebewachs
eingesetzt. Ein anderer Einsatz, als der in dieser Betriebsanleitung beschrie-
bene, kann zu Personenschäden führen. Ferner können das Gerät oder an-
dere Sachwerte beschädigt werden. Deshalb dürfen Sie das Gerät nur in
technisch einwandfreiem Zustand benutzen und Sie müssen diese Sicher-
heitshinweise unbedingt beachten.
2.1 Sicherheitsbewusst arbeiten
• Gerät nur an einem trockenen vor Staub geschützten Arbeitsplatz
betreiben.
• Das Gerät darf nur von sachkundigen Personen benutzt werden, die
entsprechend qualifiziert und ausgebildet sind.
• Vor der Inbetriebnahme muss der Benutzer die Betriebsanleitung lesen
und bei eventuellen Unklarheiten beim Hersteller rückfragen.
• Gerät nur in einwandfreiem Zustand betreiben.
• Das Gerät nur an zugelassene Steckdosen anschließen.
• Anerkannte Regeln für Arbeitssicherheit beachten.
• Vor dem Einschalten des Gerätes muss immer der Behälter mit Tauch
wachs bzw. Dubliergel oder Klebewachs befüllt sein (bitte beachten Sie
auch die Verarbeitungsanleitung für das jeweils zu verarbeitende Mate-
rial).
• Netzstecker nicht am Netzkabel aus der Steckdose ziehen.
• Ist das Netzkabel beschädigt, muss es sofort ausgetauscht werden. Mit
defekten Stromzuführungen darf nicht weitergearbeitet werden.
• Reparaturen am Gerät dürfen nur vom Hersteller durchgeführt werden.
• Servicearbeiten (Reinigung, Austausch des Tauchwachses bzw. Dublier-
gels oder Klebewachses nur bei ausgeschaltetem Gerät durchführen.
Netzstecker aus der Steckdose ziehen!
• Zur Reinigung des Gerätes keine Lösungsmittel verwenden. Gerät nicht
in Flüssigkeit tauchen.
• Kinder sind vom Gerät fernzuhalten.

Bei selbstdurchgeführten Reparaturen oder der Verwendung anderer Ersatztei-
le erlöschen sämtliche Garantie- und Haftungsansprüche!
3 Installation, Bedienung und Inbetriebnahme
3.1 Lieferumfang
Prüfen Sie alle Teile der Lieferung auf Vollständigkeit und Transportschäden. Fehlende Teile
oder Transportschäden bitte sofort an uns bzw. Ihrem Händler melden.

3.4 Gerät aufstellen und anschließen
Das Wachstauch- und Dubliergerät / elektrischer Wachskocher entspricht dem aktuellen
Stand der Technik und den anerkannten sicherheitstechnischen Regeln. Trotzdem können
Gefahren auftreten. Beachten Sie daher vor der Inbetriebnahme folgende Punkte:
- Gerät darf nur von qualifiziertem Fachpersonal betrieben werden.
- Anerkannte Regeln für Arbeitssicherheit beachten.
- Gerät nur in einwandfreiem Zustand und unter Beachtung der Betriebsanleitung
betreiben.
- Stellen Sie das Gerät waagerecht auf und bringen Sie es in die geeignete Arbeitspo-
sition.
- Schützen Sie das Gerät vor Erschütterungen.
- Prüfen Sie, ob das Gerät trocken ist.
- Prüfen Sie das Gerät auf technisch einwandfreien Zustand. Ganz besonders das
Netzkabel!
- Je nach gewünschter Anwendung befüllen Sie den Materialbehälter mit Tauch-
wachs bzw. Dubliergel oder Klebewachs.
- Verschließen Sie den Materialbehälter mit dem Edelstahldeckel.
- Stecken Sie das Netzkabel ein.

4 Arbeiten mit den Materialien
Das Gerät wird für das Schmelzen von Wachsen oder Dubliergel eingesetzt. Betreiben Sie
das Gerät nie, ohne den Behälter vorher mit Tauchwachs bzw. Dubliergel oder Klebewachs
befüllt zu haben!
4.1 Wachsen von Ohrabformungen (Abdrücken)
Der Materialbehälter ist mit Tauchwachs (REF 41201) ausreichend befüllt. Schalten Sie das
Gerät mit dem Regelthermostat und der erforderlichen Temperatur ein (siehe Verarbei-
tungsanleitung für das Wachs). Nach der Aufwärmphase und bevor Sie mit dem Wachsvor-
gang beginnen, muss die Temperatur des Wachses mit dem digitalen Thermometer (REF
65002) kontrolliert werden.
Stellen Sie die Ohrabformung auf das Tauchsieb (REF 65004) und tauchen Sie die Ohr-
abformung gleichmäßig in das Wachs und wieder heraus. Nach kurzer Abkühlungsphase
können Sie die Ohrabformung aus dem Tauchsieb nehmen.
4.2 Schmelzen von Dubliergel zur Herstellung von Negativformen
Der Materialbehälter ist mit Dubliergel (REF 40900) ausreichend befüllt.
TIPP: Für ein schnelles und schonendes Aufschmelzen empfehlen wir, das Dubliergel zu zer-
kleinern. Schalten Sie das Gerät mit dem Regelthermostat ein, um die erforderliche Tempe-
ratur zu erreichen. Erwärmen Sie das Dubliergel langsam auf 93 °C und kontrollieren Sie re-
gelmäßig die Temperatur mit dem digitalen Thermometer (REF 65002). Achten Sie darauf,
dass das Dubliergel nicht überhitzt wird. Nach homogenem Schmelzen wird das Dubliergel
durch Reduzierung der Temperatur (am Regelthermostat) auf 45 °C –48 °C abgekühlt.
Wenn das Dubliergel diese Temperatur erreicht hat, kann es in eine Einbettform eingefüllt
werden. Bitte beachten Sie auch die Verarbeitungsanleitung für das Dubliergel.
4.3 Schmelzen von Klebewachs
Der Materialbehälter ist mit Klebewachs (REF 4110ff) ausreichend befüllt. Schalten Sie das
Gerät mit dem Regelthermostat und der erforderlichen Temperatur ein (siehe Verarbei-
tungsanleitung für das Wachs). Dippen Sie den Boden der Ohrabformung in das geschmol-
zene Klebewachs und fixieren Sie die Ohrabformungen in die Einbettformen oder Einbett-
Set.
4.4 Auffüllen bzw. Wechsel des Tauchwachses bzw. Dubliergels oder Klebewachses
Die Menge des Tauchwachses bzw. Dubliergels oder Klebewachses im Materialbehälter ver-
ringert sich mit der Zeit durch die Entnahme der Materialien. Denken Sie daran, immer
Tauchwachs bzw. Dubliergel und Klebewachs vorrätig zu haben. Sie können jederzeit neues
Material zum alten Material im Behälter hinzufügen.
Hinweis: Durch mehrmaliges Aufschmelzen von Dubliergel kann das Material eintrüben.
Vor jeder Wartungsarbeit, wie z.B. Materialwechsel oder Materialergänzung
muss das Gerät vom Stromnetz getrennt werden. Die Materialien müssen ab-
gekühlt sein, da sonst Verbrennungsgefahr besteht!
Gerät nur in kaltem Zustand verschieben oder transportieren.

Garantie
Die Garantie für die Geräte beträgt ab Auslieferungsdatum 12 Monate. Davon ausgeschlos-
sen sind Modifikationen an den Geräten und alle anderen der Abnutzung bzw. dem Ver-
schleiß unterliegenden Teile.
Bei nicht bestimmungsgemäßer Verwendung des Wachstauch- und
Dubliergerätes / elektrischen Wachskochers erlöschen sämtliche Garantie- und
Haftungsansprüche!

1 General
The wax immersion unit and duplicating device/ electrical wax heating unit can be used for
different kinds of manufacturing otoplastics and ITE shells:
a) for the waxing of ear impressions (molds) with high-quality immersion wax (REF 41201)
b) for the melting of duplicating gel (REF 40900) for the manufacturing of negative molds
c) for the melting of adhesive wax (4110ff) to fix the impressions in investment forms or on the
investment kit
The unit is equipped with a heating plate as well as a material container including a lid to
protect the device against contaminates.
The device is designed according to state-of-the-art technology and is easy to use.
To control the temperature of the immersion wax, the duplicating gel or adhesive wax, we
recommend the digital thermometer (REF 65002) as well as the matching holder (REF 65007).
In addition, we also recommend the dipping sieve (REF 65004) to immerse and remove the
impressions in and from the liquified wax.
2 Safety regulations
The wax immersion unit and duplicating device/ electrical wax heating unit is
used to heat up dipping wax, duplicating gel, or adhesive wax. A use other
than described in the operating instructions may lead to injuries of the op-
erator or of third persons. Furthermore, the device or other material assets
may be damaged. Therefore, the device must be used in technically perfect
condition only and the safety regulations must be strictly complied with.
2.1 Usage according to the regulations
· Protect the unit from dust. Use the unit on dry working places only.
· Qualified and trained persons must use the device only.
· Use the unit in perfect conditions only.
· Before putting the device into operation, the user has to read the op-
erating instructions and ask the manufacturer in case of questions.
· Connect the device to permissible sockets only.
· Please adhere to the accepted safety regulations.
· Before switching on the unit, make sure that the container is filled with
immersion wax, duplicating gel or adhesive wax (please also adhere to
the processing manual for each material to be worked with).
· Do not pull the mains plug out off the socket at the mains cable.
· Should the mains cable be damaged, it must be replaced at once. De-
fective mains cables must not be used.
· The device must be repaired by the manufacturer only.
· The unit must be switched off during service and maintenance opera-
tions (cleaning, replacing the immersion wax, duplicating gel or adhe-
sive wax). Pull the mains plug beforehand!
· Do not use any dissolvents when cleaning the device. Do not immerse
the unit in liquids.
· Children must be kept away from the unit.
In case of self-made repairs or use of other spare parts all guarantee and war-
ranty claims will become extinct!

3 Installation, Handling and Initial Operation
3.1 Scope of delivery
Please check whether the delivery is complete and whether all parts are free from transport
damage. Immediately inform us or the distributor about missing parts or transport damage.

3.4 Assembling and connecting the unit
The wax immersion and duplicating device / electrical wax heating unit corresponds to the
state-of-the-art standards and to the acknowledged safety regulations, nevertheless dan-
gers can arise. Please observe the following before putting the unit into operation:
- Unit must be operated by qualified persons only.
- Observe the recognized industrial safety regulations.
- Unit must be used in technically perfect condition only and in compliance with the user
instructions.
- Position the device horizontally and place it in its suitable working position.
- Protect the unit against impact.
- Check whether the unit is dry.
- Check whether the device is in technically perfect condition, especially the mains cable!
- Depending on the required usage, fill the material container with immersion wax, duplicat-
ing gel or adhesive wax.
- Close the material container with the stainless steel lid.
- Plug in the mains cable.

4 Working with the materials
The unit is used to melt waxes or duplicating gels. Never use the unit without filling the con-
tainer with duplicating gel or immersion wax.
4.1 Waxing of ear impressions (molds)
The material container is adequately filled with immersion wax (REF 41201). Turn on the unit
via the controlling thermostat and set to the required temperature (see wax processing in-
structions). After the warm-up time and before starting the waxing operation, check the
temperature of the wax by using the digital thermometer (REF 65002).
Put the impression onto the immersion sieve, immerse the impression evenly into the wax
and then remove it again. After a short cooling time, take the waxed impressions out of the
sieve.
4.2. Melting of duplicating gel for the manufacturing of negative molds
The material container is adequately filled with duplicating gel (REF 40900).
TIP: For fast and gentle melting, we recommend cutting the duplicating gel into small
pieces. Switch on the device with the controlling thermostat to heat to the required tem-
perature. Slowly heat the duplicating gel to 93 °C (199 °F) and regularly check the tempera-
ture with the digital thermometer (REF 65002). Please make certain that the duplicating gel
does not overheat. After homogeneously melting the duplicating gel, it is cooled down to
45 °C –48 °C (113 °F –116.6 °F) by reducing the temperature of the controlling thermostat.
As soon as the duplicating gel has reached this temperature it can be filled into the invest-
ment form. Please also adhere to the processing instructions for the duplicating gel.
4.3 Melting of adhesive wax
The material container is adequately filled with adhesive wax (REF 4110ff). Turn on the unit
via the controlling thermostat and set to the required temperature (see wax processing in-
structions). Dip the bottom of the ear impression into the molten adhesive wax and fix the
impressions in investment forms or on the investment kit.
4.4 Refill or exchange of the immersion wax or duplicating gel
The amount of immersion wax, duplicating gel or adhesive wax in the material container will
be reduced over time after the dipping process. Bear in mind to have a sufficient amount of
immersion wax, duplicating gel and adhesive wax on stock. You can always top up the ma-
terial in the container with new one.
Note: By melting duplicating gel several times, the material can become cloudy.
Before every maintenance, e.g. exchanging materials, the device must be
separated from the mains supply. Hot materials must have cooled down –
otherwise danger of burning! Move or transport the unit only in cooled state.

5 Service/After-sales-service/Warranty
Warranty
The warranty period for our devices starts with the date of delivery and is 12 months. Ex-
cluded from the warranty are modifications of the unit as well as all other parts of the unit
which are subject to wear and tear.
In case of improper handling of the wax immersion unit or duplicating device /
electrical wax heating unit all liability and warranty claims will become extinct!
