Connect the controller
How to use
1. Turn the cap to counter clockwise to separate.
2. Check the marked part correctly and connect it to the machine.
※Please connect the controller when the machine is "off".
Please connect the connector to the machine correctly as above picture.
Do not extend the connection line.

3. Fasten the nut after connect the connector
and turn on the machine by main power switch as following picture.
Please keep away the connector from sharp objects and inflammable material.
Do not put any heavy object on the controller.
Do not turn the controller knob by force or give shocks.
Do not use the controller on the machine.
Use it on flatted surface.
Please disconnect the controller when the machine is off by main power switch.

※Please read this instruction before use the controller.
Please do not use any sharp object to control the controller,
it might damage the screen.
Please fill the water into water tank and
turn on the machine to fill the water into boilers before connect the controller.

Indicates the machine's condition.
(Press this button for 3 seconds.)
4. Set the extraction mode
1. Touch time indicator
2. Select a mode you want to choose
Auto mode 1
Auto mode 2
Manual mode
※ Auto mode will be deactivated

5. Set boiler temp. & extraction mode
If the "READY" part is red flickering,
boiler's temperature is not reached.
Please wait until the temperature is reached.
If the "READY" part is green, boiler's temperature reached
to set temperature.

Set the time until to reach pressure in porta filter.

Set the time for pre infusion time.
※You can deactivate the pre infusion function.
Set preinfusion power by percentage(%)
from maximum pressure.

(Suggest you to set the shot time including PRE INFUSION STOP TIME.)

During AUTO SLEEP TIME mode,
when the AUTO POWER OFF time reaches,
Zarre will automatically power off.
When the main power switch is on, it will turn on the machine,
it will turn to AUTO SLEEP TIME mode if there is no use.
AUTO WAKE UP ON-OFF
You can set AUTO WAKE UP ON/OFF
Touch ON or OFF for AUTO WAKE UP mode.

9. TEMPERATURE

Set the boiler temperature.(Min 88℃~ Max 99℃)
※ Press to adjust the temperature
SLEEPING TEMP
Stand by mode
(Min 30℃~ Max 70℃)
it will turn to AUTO SLEEP TIME mode if there is no use.
※ Ther are minimum and maximum value for all boilers' temperature.

12. Indicator sign
Low water level alert
※Please fill the water in to water bucket until guideline.
Shot count alert
When the machine reached your set shot count,
this screen appears.
※Please clean the machine.
Touch the screen to return back to main screen.
Steam pump alert
Refilling water to the steam boiler.

Press for 3 seconds to check machine's condition.
Controller's firmware version
AUTO SLEEP MODE AUTO POWER OFF time
Set temperature : Current temperature
Ready = 1, Not ready = 0
Indicates auto mode 1&2's Shot time, pre infusion time, pre infusion power
indicates current heater's power

Frequent questions
Q. Controller's power is not stable or cannot make recognition.
A. Please check the connector if it connects correctly.
Q. Some functions are not working properly.
A. Please contact EL ROCIO or purchasing office.
Q. Machine and controller powers are not on.
A. Please check the main switch or check fuse condition.
(Power off the machine before check.)
If it does not work, please contact EL ROCIO or purchasing office.
Q. Controller's clock reset or audio does not work properly.
A. Please change the battery.
