1、Introduction
OCTOPUS ELF Joystick is a remote controller, compatible with Bluetooth/HC11 433MHZ
RF. It can be applied to toy cars, toy planes and game machines, etc..

2、Hardware and Software Preparation

Hardware：
1、ELF Joystick module
2、3.7VLi Battery
3、Micro USB Cable
Software：
1、ELF_Joystick_TEST
2、Arduino IDE(1.0.5)

3、Test Part
1. On our website Wiki,try to find “Breakout->ELF Joystick” ，double click it and open
product Wiki,then find“Paint code”，click to download test code.
2. Under the downloaded file“Paint code”, open“ELF_Joystick”with Arduino
IDE(1.0.5)interface.（IDE）interface will appear like the following picture 3 shows.

3、Connect ELF Joystick and computer with Micro USB cable ，then connect 3.7V Li
battery with ELF Joystick power cable. Press down blue self-lock switch. See picture 4.

4、Back to IDE interface in step 2, choose COM port and UNO main board to burn
program.See the following picture:

Choose COM port
Please note ：Different computers have different COM ports. Please choose the
UNO-COM port recognised by your computer.
Click arrow point and start burning program
5、Try to move Joystick 1 and Joystick 2 for four different directions. Buzzer will alarm as
the joystick moves for a direction.（See picture below）

6、Click serial port on IDE interface for print, test Potentiometer1 and Potentiometer 2.

7、Press S1，S2，S3 separately，then serial port will print out the relative result.
