Overview of UI’s
•An internal user interface (UI) to control a French door/Multi door product. This UI is
responsible to control the cavities, functions.
•An external user interface (UI) located LH fridge door 4 buttons I&W is responsible for
dispenser features.
•An internal user interface (UI) located on the top drawer, used to control the setting of the
VCZ drawer.

Diagnostic Mode (Service Mode):
How to enter and use the Diagnostic Mode:
1. Press and hold “+” and “–“buttons for 10 seconds.
*On detection of the 10-sec-holding of above buttons
*All the Display LED’s of the Internal UI, External I&W UI and the VCZ UI will illuminate.
2. Press + button to progress through the different Functions.
3. Press – button to come back to previous Function.
4. Press (MODES) button to change the status of the Function.
5. Each Function is associated with a number indicated in the Display and the Function status
is displayed with intermittent time duration. See Service mode table below for details.
Note: When there is the request to visualize some extra information more than the status of
the Function (ex: freezer defrost heater state and freezer defrost evaporator temperature),
the visualization is performed in this way:
•Display: N° item, status of the item, N° item, status/value of the extra info, N° item,
status of the item….

6. A tone will plat to confirm, when enter you are in the Diagnostic mode
7. To EXIT from diagnostic mode, press and hold + and – buttons for 10 seconds. The
appliance will restart in normal mode.

setting. According to water setup
configured it is possible to check very
high pressure, normal pressure, low
pressure, very low pressure; once
that the configured time is elapsed the
Function goes automatically to “oF”
state.

blinks a “1”.
e. If the Freezer evaporator fan presents
some errors during its movement, it is
alternatively displayed the error status
of the fan (LC, nS, nP) and the status
of the damper (OP, CL).
f. Press (MODES) button to change the
status and open/close the damper.

d. During the rotation of the ice tray, it
blinks on the display “1”.
e. In case of failure at the end of the
twisting action it shows “Er”.

status and start the rotation of the ice
tray.

Stepper
Motor Valve

a. First Position must be (“Open-
Open") and it is turned on
automatically the compressor at
maximum speed.
b. Going through the steps below, the
stepper valve goes to Close position,
then IM/FZ and after this FF/IM/FZ.
It is possible to loop through these 4
states.
c. Indicating in the display the steps as:
i. “03” – Open position
ii. “00” – Close position
iii. “01” – IM/FZ position
iv. “02” – FF/IM/FZ position
d. During the steps 00 and 01 test
positions the Ice Maker Evaporator
Defrost Sensor temperature is flashed
on the display in order to check the
temperature decreasing or not in the
Ice Maker evaporator.
e. During the steps 03 and 02 the Fresh
Food Evaporator Defrost Sensor
temperature is flashed in order to
check the temperature decreasing or
not in the Fresh Food evaporator.
f. During the movement of the stepper
motor from one step to another, it
blinks on the display “1”.
g. Press (MODES) button to change the
status of stepper motor valve.

Between 2 items (i.e Software Parameters and Main Board Firmware Version) it will be displayed
again a “--” character, used as separator.

At the end of all the Software Version visualizations, one section is related to display the appliance
lifetime (how much it has been powered up, even not consecutively).
The maximum value can be 9999 days so 4 digits are needed to display whole information;

a. Displays lifetime sequence related to the
number of days from the 1st startup.
b. It is built of 4 digits starting from Most
Significant digit.
It is possible to represent a number
between 0-9999 days.
c. For Example: “0077” means 77 days.
d. Press + button to pass to the next digit.
At the end of the Lifetime visualization, the last section is related to display a free counter.
It is a 1 second up-counting timer (0,1,2,3…) and the digit is displayed on the display.
This phase communicates that Service Mode has come to end.
To return to normal mode you have to press and hold + and – buttons for 10 seconds or unplug
the appliance and plug it again.
