Setting the temperature
The temperature within the appliance is c ntr lled by
the therm stat c ntr l kn b situated at the t p f the
appliance.
The temperature f this c mpartment may be
regulated by r tating the kn b (F), and may vary
between m re r less +2°C and +8°C.
When the kn b is r tated, the display flashes and
indicates the set temperature. After having set the
desired temperature, if the kn b is n t r tated within
5 sec nds, the temperature f the freezer
c mpartment will be indicated.
T perate the appliance pr ceed as f ll ws:
Turn the therm stat c ntr l bey nd the «■» p siti n.
P siti n min = minimum c ldness
P siti n max = maximum c ldness
Turn the therm stat dial t the required p siti n.
The intermediate position is usually the most
suitable.
The therm stat setting can vary as the temperature
inside the appliance depends n the f ll wing
fact rs:
– r m temperature
– h w ften the d r is pened
– h w much f d is st red
– p siti n f the appliance
T shut ff the refrigerat r c mpartment, r tate the
kn b (F) anticl ckwise till p siti n "■". In this p siti n
the w rd "OF" is indicated f r 5 sec nds. The freezer
c mpartment will keep n w rking.
We suggest placing the kn b in the middle p siti n t
btain an internal temperature f appr ximately +5° C.
Once the refrigerat r c mpartment is shut ff, the
nly temperature which is indicated is that f the
freezer c mpartment.
In this c nditi n, the functi n sh pping cann t be
activated, and the lighting in the refrigerat r
c mpartment will be switched ff.
Important: If the fridge compartment is off, the
door must be closed in order that the freezer is
working properly .
In this condition, the electronic control of the
appliance functions automatically and
periodically circulating the air to prevent
unpleasant smells and humidity .
Shopping Function
If y u need t insert a large am unt f warm f d, f r
example after d ing the gr cery sh pping, we suggest
activating the Sh pping functi n t chill the pr ducts
m re rapidly and t av id warming the ther f d

The sh pping functi n shuts ff aut matically after
appr ximately 6 h urs.
It is p ssible t de-activate the functi n at any time by
pressing butt n E (see paragraph "Functi n

Use of the freezer compartment
Temperature control
The temperature within the freezer is c ntr lled by
the therm stat situated at the t p f the cabinet.
The temperature f this c mpartment may be
regulated by r tating the kn b (B), and may vary
between m re r less -15°C and -24°C.
When the kn b is r tated, the display flashes and
indicates the set temperature. After having set the
desired temperature, if the kn b is n t r tated within
5 sec nds, the temperature f the freezer
c mpartment will be indicated.
T perate the freezer pr ceed as f ll ws:
Turn the therm stat c ntr l bey nd the «■» p siti n.
When y u first start the freezer, we suggest that y u
turn the therm stat c ntr l t a medium setting.
H wever, if the appliance is w rking in unfav urable
r m c nditi ns such as
- p r ventilati n,
- high temperature,
- frequent d r penings,
it may be necessary t select a m re suitable
setting.
We suggest setting the kn b t the middle p siti n t
btain an internal temperature f appr ximately
-18°C, which guarantees pr per freezing and
c nservati n f the fr zen f ds.
Freezing fresh food
The freezer c mpartment is suitable f r l ng term
st rage f c mmercially fr zen f d, and f r freezing
fresh f d.
The maximum quantity f f ds t freeze in 24 h urs is
sh wn n the serial number plate.

Storage of frozen food
When first starting-up r after a peri d ut f use,
bef re putting the pr ducts in the c mpartment let
the appliance run f r at least tw h urs n the fast
fr st setting, then push again the Super-fr st butt n.
Important
In the event of accidental defrosting, for example
due to a power failure, if the power has been off
for longer that the value shown in the technical
characteristics chart under “rising time”, the
defrosted food must be consumed uickly or
cooked immediately and then refrozen (after
cooling).
Thawing
Deep-fr zen r fr zen f d, pri r t being used, can
be thawed in the refrigerat r c mpartment r at
r m temperature, depending n the time available
f r this perati n.
Small pieces may even be c ked still fr zen, directly
fr m the freezer: in this case, c king will take l nger.
The functi n can be de-activated at any time by
pressing butt n E (see paragraph "Activati n f
Functi ns").
Distribute the fr zen f d packages in the ther
c mpartments, s that the t p c mpartments can be
used f r a further freezing perati n.
