2.1 Gentle spin

2.3 Fast unbalance control system FUCS
Common function:
The FUCS system has 4 phases:
1. Start phase
2. Distribution phase
3. Time out phase
4. Measuring phase
1. Start phase:
In this phase the drumspeed is increased up to 80 1/min.
2. Distribution phase:
During this phase the aundry shou d be distributed we ba anced by regu ating the drumspeed.
This phase ends, if 120 1/min are reached or the time of 120s ( at wo 60s ) is expired.
If the time is expired its ca ed Time out (Tout).
3. Time out phase:
This phase is excecuted, if the distribution phase has ended in cause of a time out.
This step is neccessary because the drumspeed has to be increased up to 120 1/min.
4. Measuring phase:
During this phase a unba anced oad detection is excecuted ike known before.
The spinning cyc e is excecuted, depending on the amount of unba anced oad.
An forced acce eration happens if the unba anced oad is to high.

activate the pre-se ected start time.

- Pause: Program stops in any position.
- During the pausetime the change of the program isn't possib e.

the machine.

4. A itional features
4.1 Stan -by operation
On y machines with background i umination have this feature!
1. During the pre - se ected start time:
3 min. after the ast operation a disp ays exept the mu ti disp ay are shut down.
Any kind of operation (press a button) stops the stand - by - modus and starts a
the according disp ays.
2. After the end of program:
3 min. after the end of program without any operation a disp ays are shut down exept
the LED "END" or perhaps a disp ayed fau t code.
You can stop this standby ike shown in point 1.
Use : Less energy consumption.
The drum light is activated....
.... if the machine is switched on and the door is opened,
.... or the user opens the door
.... or the user presses the door / ight button if the machine isn't in the stand-by-modus.
The drum light is switched off ....
.... if the fixed time of 3 min. has run out,
.... or the user c oses the door
.... or the machine starts the stand-by-modus.
The ha ogen amp is owered in sma brightness steps.
If the drum ight is switched on, the user is ab e to enghten the fixed i umination time,
when he presses the door / ight button.

4.2.2 Deactivate suds cooling
Programming before program start:
- Set se ection switch to position short spin.
- Keep prewash button pressed at east 5 sec.
- To confirm the main wash LED is f ashing for 5 sec.
- Whi e the main wash LED is f ashing, re ease the prewash button.
- When the f ashing has stopped, the suds coo ing is active.
Programming before program start:
- Set se ection switch to position short spin.
- Keep prewash button pressed at east 5 sec.
- Immediate y when pressing the button, the main wash LED is f ashing.
- After 5 sec the f ashing stopps and the LED is it continuous y for 5 sec.
- Whi e the main wash LED is it continuous y, re ease the prewash button.
- After the main wash LED has stopped ighting, the suds coo ing is cance ed.
In order to check whether the suds cooling is activated, set the program selection switch to
short spin and press the prewash button shortly. When the main wash LED is flashing,
the suds cooling is activated.

Programming before program start:
- Set se ection switch to position short spin.
- Keep sensitive button pressed at east 5 sec.
- Immediate y when pressing the button, the rinse+ LED is f ashing.
- After 5 sec the f ashing stopps and the LED is it continuous y for 5 sec.
- Whi e the rinse+ LED is it continuous y, re ease the sensitive button.
- After the rinse+ LED has stopped ighting, the rinse+ cyc e is cance ed.
Programming before program start:
- Set se ection switch to position short spin.
- Keep sensitive button pressed at east 5 sec.

In order to check whether the rinse+ cycle is activated, set the program selection switch to
short spin and press the sensitive button shortly. When the rinse+ LED is flashing,
the rinse+ cycle is activated.

4.4 Variomatic loosening-up spin
4.4.1 Activate variomatic loosening-up spin
Programming before program start:
- Set se ection switch to position short spin.
- Keep stain button pressed at east 5 sec.
- To confirm the end LED is f ashing for 5 sec.
- Whi e the end LED is f ashing, re ease the stain button.
- When the f ashing has stopped, the variomatic oosening-up spin is active.
4.4.2 Deactivate variomatic loosening-up spin
Programming before program start:
- Set se ection switch to position short spin.
- Keep stain button pressed at east 5 sec.
- Immediate y when pressing the button, the end LED is f ashing.
- After 5 sec the f ashing stopps and the LED is it continuous y for 5 sec.
- Whi e the end LED is it continuous y, re ease the stain button.
- After the end LED has stopped ighting, the variomatic oosening-up spin is cance ed.
In order to check whether the loosening-up spin is activated, set the program selection switch
to short spin and press the stain button shortly. When the end LED is flashing,
the loosening-up spin is activated.

- You can activate it, if the program is started with the start button.
- Press the buttons prewash and sensitive at the same time for about 5 sec.
- You can see that the safety device is started if a LED's of the program duration disp ay
are f ashing for about 5 sec.
- After that the duration of the program is disp ayed in the usua way.
- The safety device is started and stays active a so at the end of program.
-A LED's of the program duration disp ay are f ashing for about 5 sec.

the program knob is se ected.
-The program which was chosen before continues.
-It doesn't inf uence the savety device in it's activity, if the program knob is turned to the
position "OFF".

-You can see that the savety device is stopped if a LED's of the program duration disp ay
are f ashing for about 5 sec. and then the program duration disp ay must i uminate
comp ete.
- After that the duration of the program is disp ayed in the usua way.

4.5.1 Differences to the wool program
- about 60 % ess shrink
- water consumption (39 at 30°C), decreased for about 25%
- the wash and rinse resu ts are the same as previous resu ts.
- program duration (36 min. at 30°C), decreased for about 25%
- energy consumption (0,2 kWh at 30°C), decreased for about 10%

4.5 The han -laun ry program
Every piece of aundry with the sign " on y suited for hand- aundry "
can now be washed with the app iance.
The machine wash has an advantage regarding the hand wash.
This proves an expert's report of the Wfk-Institute.
