ELECTRONIC DIGITALTORQUE TESTER
OPERATION INSTRUCTION
Please read instruction carefully prior to first use!

Press and HOLD this button to turn tester ON or OFF ( will auto off after 2 minutes )
Press during operation to CLEAR the torque from the display ( in Peak Hold Mode ).
Press this target button once to see the current target torque value.
Press an hold to INCREASE the target torque value.
Press this target button once to see the current target torque value.
Press and hold to DECREASE the target torque value.
Press this button to toggle between Track Mode, Peak Hold Mode
( PH will show on the LCD when in Peak Hold Mode ) and First Peak Mode ( FP will show on the LCD
when in First Peak Mode ) for testing Click-Type Torque Wrenches.

HOLD And HOLD To adjust LCD contrast (viewing angle)
PRESS And To Zero/TARE the LCD (up to 2,5% tare)
Target Zone: Programmable Go/No Go torque zone ( program from 1-10% of target torque).
Lights: Yellow (just under target zone), Green (within target Zone), Red (over target zone).
Buzzer: Continuous when within target zone, intermittent when over target zone.
Target Torque Example:
Set the target torque to 100.0: Target + Press this target button once to see the current target torque value.
Press and hold to INCREASE the target torque value (use target - to lower the target torque)
Set the target zone to 4%: HOLD And Press to change Go/No zone from 1-10% (or OFF)
Result:
When torque reading is just under 96.00 (4% of 100) the yellow light will come on prompting you to slow down.
When torque reading is above 96 and below 104 (+/-4% zone) the green light will come on and the buzzer will sound.
When torque reading is above 104 the red light will come on and buzzer will beep on and off.
ZERO/TARE: PRESS THE ZERO TARE BUTTONS IF THERE IS AREADING IN TRACK MODE WITH NO TORQUEAPPLIED
This will adjust for hysteresis and temperature variations..
Always load the wrench three times to full scale in the direction of use and press the Zero/Tare buttons prior to use.
If the wrench will not zero, while in track mode, a greater than 2,5% shift has occurred in the transducer, return for repair or
recalibration.

Safety Warnings
Read Prior To Use!
The operator and bystanders should always wear safety glasses when using this torque tester.
Periodic recalibration of this torque wrench is required to ensure accuracy.The interval should be
determined by the user and is normaly one year.
Out of calibration torque tester may cause damage to the part or the torque tester.
Do not use cheater bars to apply force to the handle.
Do not exceed the maximum range of the torque tester.
Apply torque in a safe manner that will not result in injury or fall in the fastner or wrench should
slip or break.
Never use the tester to ballance your weight while applying torque. Your feet should be firmly
placed on the ground so if the tester should slip or break you will not fall.
Never "bounce" on the tester to apply force to the handle.
Install a fresh 9-Volt battery
The battery is located inside the left cover when looking directly at the tester. Remove the two
screws and expose the battery. Do not pull on the battery wires when changing batteries. Install
a fresh 9-Volt battery and replace te cover. If the battery is low the "B" icon will show on the LCD.
If the battery is very low the wrench will turn off.
Trouble Shooting
The wrench will not turn on or turns off under use: Install a fresh 9 Volt battery.
The wrench will not zero tare: Over torque has occured-return for repair.
The Wrench does not pass calibration: Calibrate per manufactures instructions.
The lights do not work when I rech the target torque: Set the target zone from "OFF" to a value
from 1-10% (see instruction).
The contrast on the LCD display is poor: Change the contrast with the mode and target minus
buttom (see instruction).
