Thank you for purchasing this quality Elpine product. Used carefully and in
accordance with the instructions set out below, it should give you trouble free
service over a long period of time. Please keep these instructions for future
reference.

When using your electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should
always be followed including the following:
01). Read all instructions carefully.
02). Do not touch hot surfaces, use handles or knobs.
03). To protect against electrical shock do not immerse cord, plugs, or main
body in water or other liquid.
04). This Appliance should not be used near or by children.
05). Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
06). Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug. If this
appliance is damaged in anyway or suffers malfunction, return appliance to
the nearest authorised service agent.
07). The use of accessory attachments is not recommended by the appliance
manufacturer may cause injury.
08). Do not use outdoors.
09). Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
10). Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or heated oven.
11). Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot
oil or other liquids.
12). Do not use appliance for other than its intended use.
13). This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience
and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS:
Please read this instruction carefully before using the appliance.
CAUTION TO READ BEFORE USING RICE COOKER:
01). Only use this product with the correct AC voltage outlet. (Correct rated
voltage see box and label at the bottom of rice cooker.)
02). Be sure to unplug power cord when pan is not in cooker, or when cooker is
not being used. Remember the “KEEP WARM” feature operates whenever
the cord is plugged in
03). Place the inner pot inside the cooker before operating. Turn the pot gently
to right and left.
04). If the switch button is difcult to press to the “cook” position, do not try
to force it down. This difculty usually occurs when inner pot is not fully
inserted in cooker or when cooking has just nished.
05). Place the lid on your inner pot while cooking, keep the lid in place after
serving to prevent your rice from drying out or discolouring.
06). Keep bottom of inner pot and surface of heater plate free of foreign matter
to prevent operating malfunctions.
07). Clean the inner pot thoroughly before 1st use.
MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES
01). Remove inner pot and lid and wash them in hot soapy water, taking care to
rinse completely, then dry with a soft cloth.
02). Clean outside of cooker with a clean damp cloth. Never clean any part of
the cooker with abrasive cleaner. Use a damp cloth or sponge with water
and mild detergent. Do not submerge any part of cooker in water. Wash
only inner pot and lid.
03). To clean the heating plate and thermo-control plate, use steel wool to
polish or remove any residue. Then wipe with a damp cloth. Allow to dry
completely before re-using. You must keep the heating plate and thermo-
control plate free from any foreign objects, otherwise the cooker will not
operate properly.
04). Improper cleaning of cooker may cause unpleasant odours.
05). Non-stick inner pot should not be cleaned with an abrasive cleaner, use
plastic kitchen utensils as not to scratch & damage it.
06). Do not wash rice in inner pot otherwise it could damage the Non-stick coating.

07). Do not use cooking oil in the inner pot.
HOW TO USE
01). Using the measuring cup provided in the package to measure and add rice
to the inner pot.
02). Use measuring cup to add the required amount of water to the rice inside
the inner pot. See chart below.

03). Set inner pot in cooker. Place rice and water in inner pot. Close the lid rmly.
04). Plug in power cord. Do not plug in until ready to cook. Otherwise, rice may
be spoiled. If pot is not in cooker, cooking will not begin.
05). Press switch. “cook” indicator tells you cooking has started.
06). When rice is done, the switch will pop up. After the switch pops up, leave
covered for at least 15 minutes to steam rice.
07). Unplug after each use. Grasp the plug, not the cord.
08). When you stew, the water level should not more than 70% of the volume.
09). Do not touch the ventilating hole for fear scaling.

BEFORE STARTING TO COOK, CLEAN THE BOTTOM OF
THE INNER POT AND THE SURFACE OF THE HEATER
PLATE, THEN TURN THE INNER POT CLOCKWISE AND
ANTI· CLOCKWISE SO THAT IT SITS PROPERLY ONTO THE
HEATER PLATE INSIDE THE RICE COOKER.
OTHERWISE, THE RICE COOKER WILL NOT
WORK OR WILL BE DAMAGED.

uK PluG rewIrInG
Your appliance operates on 350w-230v-50Hz AC Mains and comes tted with a
3-pin BSI Approved plug, so that it is ready for use by simply plugging into AC
Mains. Should you need to change or ret a plug, proceed as follows:
IMPORTANT:
The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code:
BLUE : NEUTRAL (N)
BROWN : LIVE (L)
GREEN &YELLOW : EARTH (E)
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this
appliance may not correspond with the coloured
markings identifying the terminals in you plug, proceed
as follows:
The wire which is coloured BLUE must be connected to the terminal which is
marked with the letter “N” or coloured BLACK.
The wire which is coloured BROWN must be connected to the terminal which is
marked with the letter “L or coloured RED.
The wire which is coloured GREEN & YELLOW must be connected to the
terminal which is marked with the letter “E” or or coloured GREEN.
DO NOT CONNECT EITHER WIRE TO THE EARTH TERMINAL OF A 3-PIN PLUG
Always ensure that the Mains Cord is located into the Plug through the Cord
Guard or Cable Clamp, and that the Cord Guard screws are lightened to clamp
the Cord (outer sheath and inner coloured wires) in position in the Plug. Make
sure the Plug top is also tted securely.
This appliance must be protected by a 5-amp fuse in a 5-amp type (BS1363) plug. Should you need
to replace the fuse, use only an ASTA approved BS 1362 fuse.
