3 Conditions
This documentation is intended to enable you to work safely and expertly
with and on your equipment. It is therefore necessary to read and
understand every part of it thoroughly prior to operating the installation.
All relevant local and national regulations must be strictly observed
whenever waste water or the residue of waste water is present in the

installation. This is in order to avoid injury to people and damage to the
environment. This documentation is to be accessible at all times.
This document has been compiled with the greatest of care and is based
on the latest level of technology available at the time of publication.

5 Safety
5.1 General
For safety reasons, changes and modifications to the installation are not
permitted without the written consent of Elpress BV. The manufacturer
will not be liable for any damage arising from the failure to obtain such
consent. This also applies to components that are used and possibly
sealed by Elpress BV.

5.2 Safety symbols
The safety conditions, regulations and instructions described in this
chapter are to be strictly complied with at all times. Furthermore, all local
and national rules and regulations must be observed at all times.

6 Safety regulations
• The installation may only be used once this user manual has been
read.
• The door to the maintenance room must be closed at all times and
may be opened by authorised persons only.
• The installation has been designed to operate in a frost-free
environment. If the system freezes up, its functionality must be
thoroughly checked.
• The installation works automatically by means of sensors.
• Safety items including safety gloves, clothing, goggles, etc., must
always be available for the operating and maintenance personnel.
• It is strictly forbidden to smoke, eat or drink while operating and/or
carrying out maintenance on the installation.
• Incorrect operation and use of the installation may cause damage to
the system.
• Do not use the installation after it has been damaged. Have it
inspected by an authorised installation engineer and repaired as
necessary.
Caution
The transfer, locating and initial commissioning of the installation must
be carefully carried out. Transfer or initial commissioning that is
incorrectly carried out can be dangerous for both people and the
environment. Expert installation and service are preconditions for
trouble-free operation.
Caution
Each product manufactured by Elpress BV leaves the factory only after
having been tested. If the equipment is not going to be installed
immediately, it should be stored in a dry and frost-free area that is
suitable for its design structure.
Caution
If an optional ozone generator is installed, an ozone detection system
must also be installed. This must be installed in the respective room.

7 Intended use
7.1 General
• The installations are intended solely for the drying and/or storing of
boots, shoes or clogs.

• The ELD is an automated installation. Its operation must be checked
and maintained by authorised persons.
• In order to start the installation, connect it to a power supply.
7.2 Use during evacuation
• Switch the installation off by disconnecting the power supply. The
installation will stop operating.
8 Instruction table

- After completing the work, place the boots over the blower pipes
with the toe angled upwards.

- Your boots must not be removed between 23:00 hrs and 02:00
hrs. The installation is active during this time and can emit harm-
ful substances if used incorrectly.

- During the active period, a stream of air will blow into the shanks
of the boots. The boots will be gradually dried.

- During the active period, a warm stream of air (average 40-45°C)
will blow into the shanks of the boots. The boots will be gradually
dried. A thermal safety device prevents the installation from over-
heating.

- During the active period, ozone gas is generated that serves as a
disinfectant. The antiseptic ozone is produced by the ozonator,
which makes the boots odour-free with disinfectant power.

- Once the effective drying time has elapsed, the boots can be re-
moved from the installation.

- Leave your boots having in the rack if they are not going to be
used immediately. An occupied installation provides a better dis-
tribution and circulation of the air.

9 Cleaning and maintenance
9.1 Cleaning preparations
The control panel of the installation may never be cleaned with a jet of
liquid (e.g. garden hose or high-pressure cleaner). This could lead to
irreversible damage being caused to the installation.
The following points are important for cleaning the installation:
• Disconnect the installation from the power supply.
• Only clean outside the effective drying time.
9.2 Daily maintenance
• Clean the installation to strive for maximum cleaning.

Check the fan grid for contamination. It should be cleaned if found to be
dirty q.

Zolang afvalwater en afvalwaterresten in de installatie aanwezig zijn,
moeten nationale en plaatselijke voorschriften met betrekking hierop strikt
worden nageleefd. Hierdoor wordt schade voor mens en milieu
vermeden. Deze technische documentatie dient altijd toegankelijk te zijn.

5 Veiligheid
5.1 Algemeen
Veranderingen en modificaties aan de installatie zijn, zonder schriftelijke
toestemming van Elpress BV, om veiligheidsredenen niet geoorloofd. De
aansprakelijkheid van de fabrikant voor eventueel daaruit voortvloeiende
schade zal in dat geval vervallen. Dit geldt ook voor de delen die door
Elpress BV ingesteld en eventueel verzegeld zijn.

5.2 Veiligheidssymbolen
De in dit hoofdstuk beschreven veiligheidsbepalingen, voorschriften en
aanwijzingen dienen strikt te worden nageleefd. In ieder land dienen

6 Veiligheidsbepalingen
• De installatie mag alleen gebruikt worden wanneer deze technische
documentatie gelezen is.
• De onderhoudsruimte moet ten allen tijde gesloten zijn, alleen
geautoriseerde personen mogen deze deur openen.
• De installatie is gebouwd voor gebruik in een vorstvrije ruimte. Indien
het systeem bevriest, dient het gehele systeem gecontroleerd te
worden op functioneren.
• De installatie is automatisch werkend door middel van sensoren.
• Veiligheidsmiddelen zoals handschoenen, kleding, veiligheidsbrillen
e.d. dienen te allen tijde beschikbaar te zijn voor bedienings- en
onderhoudspersoneel.
• Het is strikt verboden te roken, eten of drinken tijdens bediening en/of
onderhoud aan de installatie.
• Onjuiste bediening en verkeerd gebruik van de installatie kan schade
aan de installatie tot gevolg hebben.
• Gebruik de installatie niet nadat deze beschadigd is. Laat het door
een erkend installateur controleren en zo nodig repareren.
Caution
De (ver)plaatsing en inbedrijfstelling van de installatie moet nauwkeurig
worden uitgevoerd. Een onjuist uitgevoerde (ver) plaatsing of
inbedrijfstelling kan de veiligheid voor mens en milieu in gevaar brengen.
Vakkundige installatie en bediening zijn voorwaarden voor een
storingsvrij bedrijf.
Caution
Ieder product vervaardigd door Elpress BV verlaat de fabriek pas na te
zijn getest. Als de apparatuur niet direct wordt geïnstalleerd dient deze
overeenkomstig haar bouwvorm in een droge ruimte te worden
opgeslagen.
Caution
Wanneer een optionele ozongenerator is geïnstalleerd dient men een
detectie systeem voor ozon te installeren. Deze dient in de
desbetreffende ruimte geïnstalleerd te worden.

7 Beoogd gebruik
7.1 Algemeen
• De installaties zijn uitsluitend bedoeld voor het drogen en/of
opbergen van laarzen, schoenen of klompen.
• De ELD is een geautomatiseerde installatie. Bediening dient door een
daarvoor aangewezen persoon gecontroleerd en onderhouden te
worden.
• Om de installatie te starten sluit u deze aan op een
stroomvoorziening.
7.2 Gebruik bij ontruiming
• Middels het ontkoppelen van de stroomtoevoer schakelt u de
installatie uit. Dit heeft als gevolg dat de installatie niet meer
werkende is.

- Plaats na de werkzaamheden de laarzen in de blaaspijpen met
de neuszijde wijzend naar boven.

- Tussen 23:00 uur en 02:00 uur is het niet toegestaan uw laarzen
te verwijderen. De installatie is in deze tijd actief en kan bij onjuist
gebruik schadelijke stoffen uitstoten.

- Tijdens de actieve periode zal een luchtstroom in de schacht van
de laarzen blazen. De laarzen worden geleidelijk gedroogd.

- Tijdens de actieve periode zal een warme luchtstroom (gemid-
deld 40-45 °C) in de schacht van de laarzen blazen. De laarzen
worden geleidelijk gedroogd. Een thermische beveiliging voor-
komt de installatie van oververhitting.

- Tijdens de actieve periode wordt een ozongas opgewekt dat
dient als een desinfectiemiddel. De antiseptische ozon word ge-
produceerd door de ozonisator die met desinfecterende kracht de
laarzen reukvrij maakt.

- Wanneer de werkzame droogtijd verstreken is kan men de laar-
zen van de installatie verwijderen.
