IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
1. This appliance is intended exclusively for
baking pizzas and certain foods, such as
the ones found in the recipe book that came
with your appliance. It is used exclusively for
processing food. Any treatment or processing
of substances other than foodstuffs, such
as building materials, paints, or chemical
substances, is not permitted.
2. The appliance may only be used with a suitable
grilling device or on the stove top.
3. This appliance is intended for normal
household use only. It is not intended for use in
commercial or retail environments.
4. If the appliance is used improperly or for
professional or semiprofessional purposes or
if it is not used according to the instructions
in the user manual, the guarantee becomes
invalid and Tristar will not be held liable for
damages. Do not use this appliance if the
appliance is damaged in any way.
5. Close supervision is necessary when any
appliance is used near children.
6. This appliance is not intended for use by
persons with reduced physical, sensory, or
mental capabilities or a lack of experience
and knowledge unless they are under the
supervision of a responsible person or have
been given proper instruction in using the
appliance.

8. Do not operate the appliance on or near
combustible materials, such as tablecloths,
paper towels, or curtains. Never cover the
appliance with a blanket or other ammable
objects.
9. Do not move the appliance when it is in use.
10. Do not modify this appliance in any way.
11. This appliance becomes hot during use. Wear
oven mitts when handling hot components or
touching hot surfaces.
12. Before rst use, heat the appliance at the
maximum set temperature for 15 minutes
to allow the appliance to burn off the
manufacturer’s protective coating of oil.
Wipe the appliance with warm, soapy water
and a washcloth after this burn-in cycle.
13. Never operate the appliance unattended.
14. Follow all safeguards, warnings and cautions
associated with the grill or stove.
15. Do not turn on or preheat the grill or stove
before placing the appliance on the grill or
stove.
16. When using this appliance on a grill, only use
a properly maintained, well-ventilated outdoor
grill with the lid fully opened at all times.
17. Use only appropriate bakeware or utensils
while baking and cleaning your appliance. Do
not use plastic, silicone, or glass.
18. Do not allow food other than pizza or bread
dough to touch the pizza stone. Any foods
that contain fat, oil, or butter (meats, items
coated with olive oil, cookies, biscuits, etc.)
should not touch the stone directly. These
foods should be baked in a metal baking pan,

on a metal baking sheet, or in a cast-iron
skillet because the stone will absorb the fat,
oil, or butter, which can cause smoking, odors,
staining and which can impart rancid avors to
items that you bake in the future.
19. Darkening of the stone from ingredients or
excess our will occur over time and will not
affect the baking performance of the appliance.
20. If your grill includes a hot plate (griddle),
remove it before use and center the remaining
section of the open grill plate in the grill and
place the appliance on top.
21. When using this appliance on a grill, place
the appliance on the cooking grate of the grill
while leaving at least ½ inch (12.7mm) of space
between the front edge of the appliance and the
front edge of the cooking grate of the grill and
at least 1 inch (25.4mm) of space between both
side edges of the appliance and both side edges
of the cooking grate. Failure to leave enough
space may result in restricted airow and
improper ventilation for your grill, which could
result in serious injury or property damage.

1. Read all materials, warning stickers, and labels.
2. Wash all parts and accessories with warm,
soapy water. Handwashing is recommended.
Wipe the Pizza Stone down with a damp cloth.
3. Place the Pizza Stone on the enameled xing
plate inside the appliance.
4. Preheat the appliance at the maximum set
temperature for 15 minutes to allow the
appliance to burn off the manufacturer’s
protective coating of oil. Wipe the appliance with
warm, soapy water and a washcloth after this
burn-in cycle.
Before First Use
General Operating Instructions
The Grill Plate Handle can be used with the
Grill Plate. Simply slide the handle into the slot
in the Grill Plate and lock the handle into place
before use.

1. Place the appliance on a gas or charcoal grill
or on a gas stove top. Place the Pizza Stone in
the appliance.
2. Turn on the grill or stove top and heat the
appliance to the desired temperature.
Use the Temperature Gauge on top of the
appliance to monitor the temperature.
3. When the appliance has reached your
desired temperature, place your uncooked
pizza on the Pizza Peel. Use the Pizza Peel
to slide the pizza onto the Pizza Stone inside
the appliance. Then, remove the Pizza Peel.
4. Use the Front Cover to cover the front of
the appliance.
5. After 5 minutes, check the doneness of
your pizza. When the desired doneness is
reached, use the Pizza Peel to remove the
pizza and enjoy.
Using the Grill Plate
1. Place the appliance on a gas or charcoal grill or
on a gas stove top. Place the Grill Plate in the
appliance.
2. Turn on the grill or stove top and heat the
appliance to the desired temperature. Use the
Temperature Gauge on top of the appliance to
monitor the temperature.
3. When the appliance has reached your desired
temperature, place your food on the Grill Plate.
4. Use the Front Cover to cover the front of the
appliance.
5. After 5 minutes, check the doneness of your
food. When the desired doneness is reached,
carefully remove the food and enjoy.

NOTE: If you are using this appliance on a gas or
charcoal grill, be sure to follow the grill manufacturer’s
instructions pertaining to use of the grill.

1. Allow all components to cool before washing.
Never use cold water to cool the Pizza Stone.
2. Wipe down surfaces with a damp, soapy
washcloth or sponge. Do not use sharp objects
or abrasive cleaning agents.
3. Flour residue can be wiped off with a
damp cloth.
1. The Pizza Stone is sensitive to extreme
temperature changes.
2. Do not use cold water to cool a hot stone.
3. Preheat the appliance with the Pizza Stone
inside the appliance to heat the stone gradually.
4. Do not remove the Pizza Stone from the
appliance when hot.
5. To prevent pizza dough from sticking to the
surface of the Pizza Stone, use cornmeal,
semolina, or ne polenta.
6. Do not cut food on the Pizza Stone. Do not use
oil to cure the Pizza Stone. Repeated use will
season the stone naturally with oils from food.
7. Wipe off the Pizza Stone with a damp cloth
to remove any food particles. Routinely scrape
off baked-on food with a plastic spatula or
dry brush.
8. Do not use detergents or scouring agents on the
Pizza Stone because these can penetrate into
the stone and impair the baking result the next
time you use it.
9. Never clean the Pizza Stone in the dishwasher.
Do not wash the Pizza Stone with soap or
submerge the stone in water.
10. A well-used Pizza Stone typically has many
dark, discolored areas. Do not try to scrub the
stone to make it look new. This is a natural
occurrence and it does not imply that the stone
needs to be replaced.
