UNPACKINGAND SET-UP
•Carefullyremovethe unitfromthe carton and removeall packing materialfrom
the unit.
•Removeanylabelsorstickerswhichmaybe on the frontortop ofthe set, but
do notremoveanylabelsfromthe back orbottom.
•Press the CDdoorOPENbutton and removethe dummyCDdisplaycardfrom
the CD compartment.
•Wesuggestthatyou retainthe originalcarton and packing materialsincaseit
everbecomesnecessarytoreturnyourunitforservice.Thisisthe onlysure
waytoprotectthe unitfromdamage intransit.
•If you do disposeofthe carton and packing materials,pleasedo soproperly.

IMPORTANTINFORMATION
•Playing CD’s athighervolumelevelsincreasesthe batterydrainand shortens
the batterylife.TrytouseACpowerwheneveritisavailable.
•You mustremovethe ACPowerCordfromthe ACCordSocketon the back
cabinetinordertooperatethe uniton batteries.
•Werecommend using alkaline batteriesforthe longestpossiblelife.
•Change the batterieswhen the outputofthe unitbecomesweakorthe sound
becomesdistorted.Always change all six(6)batteriesatthe sametime.
•If the unitwill be stored and notused for30 days ormoreitisrecommended to
removethe batteriesfromthe batterycompartmenttoreducethe possibilityof
damage frombatteryleakage orcorrosion.
BATTERYPRECAUTIONS
Followtheseprecautionswhen using batteriesinthisdevice:
1.Useonlythe sizeand type ofbatteriesspecified.
2.Besuretofollowthe correctpolaritywhen installing the batteriesasindicated inthe battery
compartment. Reversed batteriesmaycausedamage tothe device.
3.Donotmixdifferenttypesofbatteriestogether(e.g.Alkalineand Carbon-Zinc)oroldbatteries
withfreshones.

•Toremoveadisc fromitsstorage case,press downon the centerofthe case
and lift the disc out, holding itcarefullybythe edges.
•Treatthe disc carefully.Handlethe disc onlybyitsedges.Neverallowyour
fingerstocomeincontactwiththe shiny,unprinted side ofthe disc.
•Donotattachanytape,stickers,etc.tothe disc label.
•Clean the disc periodicallywithasoft, lint-free,drycloth.Neverusedetergents
orabrasivecleanerstoclean the disc.If necessary,useaCD cleaning kit.
•If adisc skipsorgetsstuck on asection ofthe disc,itisprobablydirtyor
damaged (scratched).
•When cleaning the disc,wipe instraightlinesfromthe centerofthe disc tothe
outeredge ofthe disc.Neverwipe incircularmotions.
