6.0 Frequently asked questions
Q: The EM7100 wireless receiver is equipped with a HDMI Out port. Which
sound formats are supported?
A: The EM7100 has HDMI 1.1 compliant HDMI ports. This means DTS 5.1 and
AC3 5.1 are supported streams. However, bear in mind that you need a
(certified) digital DTS receiver to playback DTS sound streams (if your
media player or media device cannot decode DTS to PCM sound). In some
cases you need to setup the media player or media device to use the DTS
or AC3 sound system. Refer to the manual of you media player or media
device.
Q: I do have other wireless N devices in my house. It seems the wireless signal
of the EM7100 is not sufficient enough to stream my HD content. Is it
possible to change the wireless signal of the EM7100 in order to prevent my
other wireless N devices interfering the wireless signal of the EM7100?
A: Yes. It is possible to change the wireless channel of the EM7100: Press the
‘WiFi CH 1/WiFi CH 2’ button on the remote control for approximately 5
seconds. The wireless channel will be changed and the EM7100 system
will be rebooted.
Q: How can I reset the EM7100?

8 |
ENGLISH
A: You can reset the EM7100 using the following steps:
•Shut down the EM7100 wireless sender and receiver by unplugging the
power supply of both devices
•Press and keep pressing the button at the front of the wireless sender or
receiver
•Connect the power supply
•Keep the button pressed for another 3-5 seconds. The moment you stop
pressing the button, the device will be set back to factory settings
•Repeat these steps for the second device
Q: The EM7100 units do have LAN interfaces. For what purposes are these
interfaces?
A: The LAN interfaces are for professional usage only. These LAN connections
can be used to stream media content using your LAN network or to make
changes to the EM7100. However, network expertise is essential. Eminent
only supports the wireless interface. Using the LAN interface to change
settings is at own risk!
