support a generator. This functionality is reserved for future use and will require an upgrade process to be
followed by a qualified electrician.
✓
NOTE: IQ System Controller is not suitable for use as service equipment in Canada.
Unboxing the new IQ System Controller unit
WARNING: Risk of injury. Take care when lifting. The IQ System Controller is heavy 38.5
kg (85 lbs). WARNING: Risk of injury and equipment damage. Avoid dropping the IQ
System Controller. Doing so may create a hazard, cause serious injury, and/or damage
the equipment.
When unboxing the new IQ System Controller unit, follow the instructions in the QIG to carefully
unbox the unit from the carton box without damaging it since the same box should be reused for
shipping back theold RMA’d IQ System Controller unit to Enphase.
Delete existing IQ System Controller using Enphase Installer App
When replacing an IQ System Controller on site (RMA) the old IQ System Controller must be deleted
using Enphase Installer App. There would be a Serial Number of IQ System Controller based on
which the RMA request is raised. Use theSerial No. to identify the IQ System Controller at site.
1. Don’t power down system until instructed later in the process.
2. Confirm that all the devices are powered ON.
3. Install Installer Enphase App using the below links:
oiOS
oAndroid

•During provisioning, the status flows as follows:
•Discovered / not discovered (Enphase App is able to discover the device using
Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).
•Waiting for provisioning (The initial communication is being established.
Enphase App is sending network information to IQ System Controller using
BLE).
•Waiting for acknowledgement (IQ Gateway is trying to communicate to the IQ
System Controller usingthe wireless 2.4 GHz radio).
•Provisioned (IQ Gateway can communicate with the IQ System Controller).
•Once provisioning is complete, click Done.
Confirm new IQ System Controller is operating properly
1. Confirm that the IQ System Controller is communicating with the IQ Gateway by checking
