1. ANSCHLÜSSE & BEDIENELEMENTE
PRO/PWR LED
Betriebszustandsanzeige des Verstärkers.
„GRÜN“ > Verstärkermodul an und betriebsbereit.
„ROT“ > Schutzmodus aktiviert (Überhitzung oder anderer Fehler).
REMOTE
Für den Anschluss des Fernbedienungskabels
LOW LEVEL
Eingang des Niedrigpegelsignals (Cinchausgang des Radios). Anschluss der Cinchkabel
erfolgt am beiliegenden Plug & Play Anschlusskabel.
HI LEVEL
Eingang des Hochpegelsignals (Lautsprecherausgang des Radios). Anschluss der Lautspre-
cherkabel erfolgt am beiliegenden Plug & Play Anschlusskabel.
POWER
Eingang für Spannungsversorgung +12 V, GND / Masse und Remote/ACC +12 V.
„GND“ > Für das schwarze Massekabel, welches mit der Karosserie zu verbinden ist.
„REM“ > Für das blaue Remotekabel, welches mit dem Remoteausgang des Steuergeräts
zu verbinden ist.
„+12V“ > Für das rote Hauptstromkabel, welches mit dem Pluspol der Fahrzeugbatterie zu
verbinden ist.
FUSE
Sicherungshalter für Kfz-Standard ATC Sicherung mit 25A. Falls die Sicherung ausgelöst
wurde, darf sie nur durch 25A Typen ersetzt werden!
2. ELEKTRISCHER ANSCHLUSS
Entfernen Sie zu Ihrer eigenen Sicherheit und zur Sicherheit des Fahrzeugs als Erstes
das Minuskabel vom Minuspol der Batterie.
Hauptstromkabel
EMPHASER empfiehlt einen minimalen Kabelquerschnitt von mindestens 6mm² Stromkabeln
+12V und Masse. Diese Empfehlung garantiert eine problemlose Funktion des Verstärkermo-
duls. Für volle Leistungsabgabe bei einer Länge von 5m sollten besser 10mm² Powerkabel
Verwendung finden.
Schließen Sie das +12V Powerkabel am roten Kabel des Plug & Play Anschlusskabels an.

Innerhalb der ersten 30cm nach dem Pluspol-Klemmenabgriff muss eine Hauptsicherung
angebracht werden. Diese dient zur Absicherung des Pluskabels gegen Kurzschluss auf
Fahrzeugmasse. Verwenden Sie eine dem Stromkabel entsprechende Hauptsicherung,
mindestens aber eine mit 25A Wert.
Schließen Sie das Minuskabel am schwarzen Kabel des Plug & Play Anschlusskabels und
an einem geeigneten Massepunkt im Fahrzeug an. Achten Sie beim Massepunkt auf eine
perfekt gesäuberte und blanke Metalloberfläche im Fahrzeug. Schlechte Massepunkte sind
die Hauptursache für Betriebsstörungen und fehlende Leistung.
Low Level - Cinchkabel
Für beste Einstörfestigkeit sollten nur hochwertige geschirmte oder sogenannte „Twisted-Pair“
Cinchkabel verwendet werden. Die signalführenden Cinchleitungen müssen soweit wie möglich
von „elektrischen Störsendern“ wie Bordcomputer, Benzinpumpe, Blackboxes verlegt werden.
Schließen Sie das Cinchkabel am Radio/Steuergerät und am Plug & Play Anschlusskabel
des Verstärkermoduls an.
•Verwenden Sie ausschließlich einen Signaleingang. Entweder High Level oder Low
Level.
High Level - Lautsprecherkabel
Falls das Steuergerät über keinen Cinchausgang verfügt, müssen Sie das benötigte Signal
von den Lautsprecherleitungen abgreifen. Verbinden Sie die Kabel vom Adapter wie folgt mit
den entsprechenden Lautsprecher Kabeln in Fahrzeug:

Weiss/Schwarz auf links(-)
Grau auf rechts(+)
Grau/schwarz auf rechts(-)
•Verwenden Sie ausschließlich einen Signaleingang. Entweder High Level oder Low
Level.
Falls das Amp Modul über den High Level Eingang angesteuert wird, erfolgt das Ein-/Aus-
schalten des Verstärkermoduls über den DC Offset des Musiksignals.
Remote Kabel
Wenn Sie ein Cinchkabel vom Steuergerät zum Verstärkermodul ziehen, muss auch das REM-
Schaltspannungskabel nach hinten an das Verstärkermodul gezogen werden. Schließen Sie
dieses Kabel am blauen Kabel des Plug & Play Anschlusskabels an.
Fernbedienungskabel
Finden Sie einen geeigneten Montageort für die Fernbedienung. Verlegen Sie das Signalkabel
von der Fernbedienung zum Verstärkermodul. Verbinden Sie den Stecker von der Fernbe-
dienung mit dem entsprechenden REMOTE Eingang am Verstärkermodul.
Inbetriebnahme
Wenn die Verkabelung beendet ist, schliessen Sie den Stromkreis durch Anbringen der
Minuspolklemme an der Batterie. Schalten Sie das Steuergerät ein. Die Status LED am
Verstärkermodul sollte grün leuchten. Wenn die rote LED leuchtet, gehen Sie alle Installati-
onsschritte nochmals durch.
3. EINSTELLUNGEN AN DER FERNBEDIENUNG
INPUT - Eingangsempfindlichkeit
Die korrekte Eingangsempfindlichkeitseinstellung ist wichtig für die Ausnutzung des optimalen
Dynamikspielraumes und beeinflusst auch die verzerrungsfrei erzielbare Maximallautstärke.
•ACHTUNG! Stellen Sie alle Klangregler am Headunit, also BASS, TREBLE und Loudness
oder USER-EQ Presets in die Neutral- oder Nullposition, bevor Sie mit der Einstellung der
Eingangsempfindlichkeit beginnen.
Stellen Sie den X-OVER Regler auf ca. 120 Hz. Drehen Sie jetzt den Gain-Regler am Verstär-
kermodul im Gegenuhrzeigersinn auf die Minimalposition. Drehen Sie den Lautstärkeregler
Ihres Steuergeräts auf ca. dreiviertel Maximallautstärke. Erhöhen Sie durch Drehen des
Gain-Reglers im Uhrzeigersinn langsam die Empfindlichkeit, bis sich genug Bassanteil in
der Musik einstellt.
Drehen Sie nun den Gain-Regler vom Verstärkermodul langsam (Achtung - Langsam!) im
Uhrzeigersinn auf, bis Sie gerade die Verzerrungsgrenze im Bassbereich wahrnehmen. Dann
drehen Sie den Gain-Regler gerade so weit zurück, bis die Verzerrungen wieder verschwinden.
PHASE
Phasen-Schalter um die akustische Phase
des Subwoofers um 180° zu drehen. Bei kor-
rekter Phasenlage erleben Sie einen druck-
vollen und knackigen Bass. Bei falscher akus-
tischer ist das Ergebnis umgekehrt: Der Bass
klingt kraftlos.
LOW PASS - Tiefpass-Trennfrequenz
Abschließend justieren Sie den X-OVER
Regler nun im Uhr- bzw. Gegenuhrzeiger-
sinn, bis Sie den für Sie besten Kompromiss
einer satten und trockenen Basswiedergabe
erzielt haben.
BASS BOOST
Bass Boost Potentiometer, für die Anpassung
der gewünschten Bassanhebung im Bereich
um 45 Hz. Der Regelbereich umfasst 0 bis
12dB. 0dB bedeutet keine Anhebung, 12dB
bedeutet, dem Bassbereich um 45 Hz wird
die 12-fache Leistung zugeführt.

1. CONNECTIONS AND CONTROLS
PRO/PWR LED
Operational status of the amplifier.
“GREEN” > Amp is ON and ready for bass playback.
“RED” > Protect mode is active (due to overheating or another fault).
REMOTE
Input terminal to connect the cable of the remote control.
LOW LEVEL
Input terminal of the low level signal input (RCA output of the head unit). The connection of
the RCA cables takes place on the provided Plug & Play connection harness.
HI LEVEL
Input terminal of the high level signal input (speaker output of the head unit). The connection
of the speaker cables takes place on the provided Plug & Play connection harness.
POWER
Eingang für Spannungsversorgung +12 V, GND / Masse und Remote/ACC +12 V.
“GND” > for the black ground wire that need to be connected to the vehicle chassis ground.
“REM” > for the blue remote wire that need to be connected to the REM or ACC+ output of
the head unit.
“+12V” > for the red main power wire that need to be connected to the positive pole of the battery.
FUSE
Fuse holder for 25A standard automotive ATC fuse. Do not use any other current rating than
25A if the fuse needs to be replaced.
2. ELECTRICAL WIRING
Attention! Disconnect the negative battery clamp before you start any wiring work!
Main Power Cables
EMPHASER recommends a minimum power cable cross-section of no less than 6mm²
for both the main and the ground power cables. This does guarantee trouble-free operation.
For full power output (for 5m total length) of the amp module, 10mm² power cables should be
used. Cross sections too low will cause the amp module to overheat.

Connect the +12V power cable to the red wire of the Plug & Play connection harness.
To protect your vehicle against shorting and resulting fire hazards, you must insert a main-
fuse holder within the first 30 cm of cabling in the engine compartment.
Connect the ground cable to the black cable of the Plug & Play connection harness. Choose a
ground point in the vehicle, not too far away from the amp terminal. The ground contact-point
must be solid and clean, e.g. free from rust or paint etc.
Low Level - RCA Interconnects
For best sound quality and noise immunity use shielded or twisted-pair RCA interconnects.
Note that RCA interconnects should be routed away from electrical devices or power cables
of the vehicle.
Connect the RCA plugs to the preamp line outs of your head unit and to the input of the Plug
& Play connection harness.
•Don’t use both types of signal inputs at the same time!
High Level – speaker signal inputs
If your head unit does not offer RCA line outs, you must wire up the audio inputs to the exi-
sting loudspeaker wiring. Connect the wires of the Plug & Play connection harness to the
corresponding speaker wires as follows:
White to the left(+)
white/black to the left(-)
grey to the right(+)
grey/black to the right(-)
•Don’t use both types of signal inputs at the same time!
If the amplifier is controlled by speaker signal inputs, the amp will be turned on and off by
using the DC offset of the music signal.
Remote wire
If your head unit offers a REM or P.CNTR out, route a wire back to the amp module and con-
nect it to the blue cable of the Plug & play connection harness.
Remote control wire
Chose a convenient mounting location for the remote control, that offers easy access for ad-
justment. With mounting location selected, you must run the control wire to the amp module
and connect the plug to the REMOTE port on the amplifier panel.
Commissioning
With the wiring completed, reconnect the negative battery lead. Switch on your head unit.
The green status LED of the amplifier should turn on. If the red LED lights up, re-check all
connections because something was not wired up properly.
3. ADJUSTMENTS ON THE REMOTE CONTROL
INPUT - Input sensitivity
For best sound quality and dynamics, correct input sensitivity adjustment of the amp module is
mandatory. The input gain is responsible for signal to noise ratio and the maximum distortion
free bass output of the active subwoofer.
•ATTENTION: Before you start any adjustment on the amp module, set all tone controls of
your head unit to their neutral or flat position, e.g. BASS, TREBLE and Loudness as well as
User EQ presets.
Set the X-OVER potentiometer to approx. 120 Hz.
Set the GAIN in the anti-clockwise position. Turn up the volume of your head unit to about 75%
of max. output. Slowly increase the GAIN potentiometer setting by turning the knob clockwise,
until you hear a balanced sound with sufficient bass.
PHASE
Now check both slide switch positions of the
PHASE control. Compare the bass reproduc-
tion on the driver’s seat resulting from each
position of the switch. One setting, i.e. either
0° or 180° will give you more bass, a better
(more precise) bass or even both. This is the
correct setting that shall be kept.
LOW Pass – Crossover frequency
Finally, you can fine tune the low pass cut-of f
frequency on the amp module. To fine adjust
the upper bass reproduction of your subwoo-
fer, turn the X-OVER potentiometer out of
its 120 Hz position clock or anti-clock wise.
BASS BOOST
Control potentiometer to adjust the bass boost
in the 45 Hz range. Adjustment range goes
from 0dB (no boost) to 12dB (12times higher
amplifier output).

4. EMPHASER LIMITED WARRANTY
Dear customer
Keep the original packing for later use and read the warranty specifications below carefully.
Should your EMPHASER product require warranty service, please return it to the retailer from whom
it was purchased or the distributor in your country. Should you have difficulty in finding an authorized
EMPHASER service center, details are available from your local distributor.
This EMPHASER product is warranted against defective materials and defects caused during ma-
nufacturing for a period of two years from date of purchase, to the original purchaser. Warranty work
will not be carried out unless the warranty certificate is presented together with the original sales slip.
WARRANTY LIMITATIONS
This warranty does not cover damages due to:
1. incorrect audio or power connection(s).
2. exposure to excessive humidity, fluids, sun rays or dirt and dust.
3. damage by accidents or mechanical shock.
4. abuse, unauthorized repair attempts and modifications not explicitly authorized by the manufacturer.
This warranty is limited to the repair or the replacement of the defective product at the manufacturer’s
option and does not include any other form of damage, whether incidental, consequential or other-
wise. The warranty does not cover any transport costs or damages caused by transport or shipment
of the product.

Der Hersteller gewährleistet auf dieses EMPHASER Produkt bei Material- oder Herstellungsfehlern

Die Garantie dieses Produkts bleibt in jedem Fall auf die Reparatur bzw. den Ersatz (Entscheidung
durch Hersteller) des jeweiligen EMPHASER Produkts beschränkt. Schäden durch unsachgemäße
Verpackung und daraus resultierende Transportschäden werden nicht durch diese Garantie abge-
deckt. Jeder über diese Garantie-Erklärung hinausgehende Anspruch und jede Haftung für direkte
oder indirekte Folgeschäden werden ausdrücklich abgelehnt.
