Toinsertthebattery,openthebattery
compartmentbyslidingthecoverdownwards.
Insertthebatteryinaccordancewiththepolarity
(+/‐)decalcontainedwithinthecompartment.
Onceinserted,closethebatterycompartmentby
slidingthecoverupwards.
IMPORTANTNOTE:Theunitshipswitha9v
alkalinenon‐rechargeablebatterypre‐installed.If
the“VHFWirelessTransmitterPack”doesNOT
poweron(i.e.LED doesNOT turnon),installa
fresh/new9valkalinebattery.
SetthePOWER switchtothe“TXOFF”position
topowerofftheunit.

LOUDSPEAKERBATTERYCHARGING/MAINTENANCE
TheLoudspeakerunitshipswithaninternalrechargeablebatterythatcanpowercontinuousoperationsfor
6to8hours(approx.).WerecommendthattheLoudspeakerunit’sbatteryisfullychargedpriortoinitial
operationsasfollows:
1. Connectthe“ACPowerAdapter/Charger”tothe“ACPowerCord.”
2. Connectthe“ACPowerCord”toa120velectricalwalloutlet.
3. Inserttheplugofthe“ACPowerAdapter/Charger”intotheLoudspeakerunit’sDCIN powerjack.
NOTE: Theunit’sCHARGELEDflashesyellowaslongasthebatteryischarging.Batterychargingmaytakeup
to(4)hours.
4. WhentheLoudspeakerunit’sbatteryisfullycharged(unit’sCHARGE LEDturnsoff),disconnectthe“AC
PowerCord”fromthewalloutletandthe“ACPowerAdapter/Charger”fromtheunit.
5. Oncefullycharged,disconnectthe“ACPowerAdapter/Charger”andACPowerCord.“
IMPORTANTNOTE: TopreventdamagetotheLoudspeakerunit’sbatterydueto“overcharging,”ALWAYS
disconnectthe“ACPowerAdapter/Charger”afterthebatteryhasbeenfullycharged.
IMPORTANTBATTERYMAINTENANCE/STORAGEINFORMATION:
TheLoudspeakerunitusesasealedlead‐acidgelbatterythatwillslowlyself‐dischargewhentheunitisNOT inuse.
PriortostoringtheLoudspeakerunitforanextendedperiod,
fullychargethebatterybeforestorageandthenchargeagainevery(3)months.
Thelead‐acidbatteryneedstoberechargedevery(3)monthsforcontinuedoperation.
PleasereplacethebatteryiftheLoudspeakerunitoperatingtimenoticeablydecrease,
evenafterafullchargecycle.
ReplacementbatteriesmaybepurchasedbycontactingEnforcementTechnologyGroup,Inc.(ETGI)
directlyat414‐276‐4471.

GENERALOPERATINGSAFETYGUIDELINES:
Read,follow,heedallwarningsandkeepthisoperatingmanual.
•DoNOT usetheLoudspeakerunitnearwaterorduringsevereweather.
•Clean only with dry cloth
•DoNOT throw,droporaggressivelyhandletheLoudspeakerunit
and/ortheVHFWirelessTransmitterPackastheycontain“sensitive”
electroniccomponents.
•ALWAYS placetheLoudspeakerunitits“Custom/PaddedDeployment
Case”foraddedprotectionduringoperations.
•Toavoidfeedback,Loudspeakershouldbepositionedatleast100ft.
(30m)awayfromcommunicatorduring“REMOTE/RFWIRELESS
OPERATIONS.”
•DoNOT usecomponentsnearANY heatsourcesuchasradiators,heat
registers,stovesorotherdevices(includingamplifiers)thatproduce
heat.
•UnplugtheLoudspeakerunitduringlightningstorms.
•ReferallservicingtoEnforcementTechnologyGroup,Inc.(ETGI)
personnel.Servicingisrequiredwhenacomponenthasbeendamaged
inanyway,suchaspowersupplycordorplugisdamaged,liquidhas
beenspilledorobjectshavefallenintoacomponent,componenthas
beenexposedtorainormoisture,componentdoesNOT operate
normallyorcomponenthasbeendropped.
•CAUTION!: Toreducetheriskofelectricshock;doNOT removethetop
cover(ortherearsection)oftheLoudspeakerunitasNO user
serviceablepartsarelocatedinside.
•CAUTION!: TheLoudspeakerunitcontainsarechargeablebattery.
RechargeablebatteriesmustNOT beexposedtofire– thisposesa
DANGEROFEXPLOSION.Incorrectlyreplacingthebatteryposesa
DANGEROFEXPLOSION.Onlyusebatteriesofthesametype.The
capacityofthebatterymaydiminishatlowtemperatures.
•CAUTION!: TheLoudspeakerunitiscapableofdeliveringsound
pressurelevelsinexcessof105dB,whichmaycausepermanent
hearingdamage.
•ALWAYS performthe“LOUDSPEAKERBATTERY
CHARGING/MAINTENANCE”procedurescontainedwithinthismanual
eachtimeaftertheequipmenthasbeendeployed/used.

byinsertingtheWIRELESSAUDIORECEIVERPLUG intotheunit’sLINEIN
jack.IMPORTANTNOTE:TheWIRELESSAUDIORECIEVERPLUGmust be
insertedintotheLINEINjackfortheunittobecapableofreceivingaudio
signalstransmittedbytheVHFWirelessTransmitterPack

IMPORTANTWIRELESSAUDIOTRANSMISSIONDETAILS:
TheeffectivewirelessaudiotransmissionrangebetweenthesuppliedVHFWirelessTransmitterPackand
Loudspeakerunitisapproximately150to200ft.(40to60m).Thereareseveralfactorsthatcanimpactorprevent
wirelesssignaltransmission.Tohelpensurewirelesssignaltransmissionatthemaximumeffectiverange,please
establishaclear,lineofsight(LOS)paththatisfreeof“obstacles”betweentheVHFWirelessTransmitterPackand
Loudspeakerunitduringoperations.

Toprojectanexternal audio source (Digital Voice Recorder, CD player, MP3 player,etc.)wirelesslythroughthe
Loudspeakerunit,pleasefollowtheinstructionsbelow:
1. PreparetheLoudspeakerunitfor“REMOTE/RFWIRELESS
OPERATIONS”byinsertingtheWIRELESSAUDIORECEIVER
PLUG intotheunit’sLINEINjack.IMPORTANTNOTE:The
WIRELESSAUDIORECIEVERPLUGmust beinsertedintothe
LINEINjackfortheunittobecapableofreceivingaudio
signalstransmittedbytheVHFWirelessTransmitterPack
(refertodiagram1.0).
