STANDARD COMPONENTS SUPPLIED
SAFETY WARNINGS
1. Carefully read the instructions before use. Keep this instruction manual for future references.
2. The device should be treated as mono-patient.
3. If there is are risk of infection or microbial contamination, the device should be used by one person
only (always consult your doctor).
4. The device must only be used with aerosol therapy compressor devices compliant with the latest
regulations, having the use of nasal devices of this type envisaged in their instruction manuals.
5. The device is not suitable for anesthesia or pulmonary ventilation.
6. The device must only be sued with the original accessories described in this instruction manual.
7. The information relating to the connection to and use in combination with aerosol treatment devices
is provided in the instructions for use of the devices concerned. Always comply with the instructions
and safety guidelines provided in the instruction manuals of the aerosol devices which envisage use
with nasal devices of this type.
8. Always use the device and its accessories in accordance with your doctor’s instructions. Use only
medicinal specialties prescribed by your doctor and administer them in accordance with his or her
instructions.
9. Never use the device for any purpose except for its intended use as a nasal irrigation device. The
manufacturer is not responsible for improper use.
10. The device is not supplied in a sterile pack; always clean and disinfect it before and after each use.
11. The device contains small components which may be removed and easily swallowed. The device
must therefore only be used by juveniles and the differently able in presence of an adult in full
possession of their mental faculties. Never leave the device unattended in places easily accessible
by juveniles and the differently able.
12. Store in a clean dry place, protected from sunlight heat and weather. Dispose of the device in
accordance with the relevant legal requirements.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR PREPARING THE DEVICE AND PUTTING IT INTO OPERATION
The device is not sterile, so before use, perform the clearing and
disinfection procedures described in the specific section of this manual.
To fill with solution hold the bottom part of the device and unscrew the
superior part until it is disconnected (A). Insert the solution in the main
body (D). The graduated scale is only indicative, follow the quantity
requested by the doctor.
ATTENTION: if too much solution is poured in, empty the main body (D),
clean it and repeat the operation. Insert the pisper (C) and screw back
the upper part. Firmly connect the one end of the air supply tube to the
nasal washer in the dedicated joint (E) and the other to the aerosol
therapy compressor unit. Start the compressor to begin the treatment.
During the treatment, hold the other nostril, to which the spray device is
not applied, closed with a finger. Operate the nasal spray by pressing
the delivery button (F) and release it before exhaling. In the case the
children or patient with impaired faculties, apply to the two nostrils in
alternation, switching every 10-20 seconds.
Keep a hander kerchief ready to dry the nostrils if mucus overflows from the tank in the top of the nasal
wash.
