5.3 - RANGE PER CHARGE
The average distance your EPIKGO can travel on a full charge is approximately 10 miles. However,
there are some factors to know that can affect the distance traveled per charge.

EPIKGO
• Speed and riding style: Frequent starts, stops, acceleration and deceleration will reduce the amount
of distance for possible travel.
• Topography: Riding on smooth and flat roads will provide maximum distance. Inclines and uneven
terrain will decrease your riding range.
• Weight: The weight of the rider can affect the distance traveled per charge.
• Temperature: Operating in extremely hot or cold environments can decrease the motor power.
5.4 - BATTERY SAFETY WARNINGS
Please follow the battery safety guidelines listed below. Mishandling the battery may cause the battery
to heat up, rupture, or ignite and cause serious injury.
WHEN USING THE BATTERY
• DO NOT place the battery in high-temperature environments, in fire or in direct contact with heat.
• DO NOT store the battery inside cars, especially in hot weather.
• DO NOT place the battery in direct sunlight.
• DO NOT subject the battery to strong impacts or shocks.
• DO NOT submerge the battery in water. Keep the battery away from water or any liquids.
• DO NOT disassemble or modify the battery.
• If there are unusual changes with the battery, immediately discontinue use. Changes include an
Page 18

unusual smell, feeling extremely hot, change in color, change in shape or appearing abnormal in any
other way.
• Be aware of battery leakage. DO NOT rub eye if battery fluid gets onto skin or into one's eye. Ensure
to rinse thoroughly with water and immediately seek medical care.
WHILE CHARGING
• Only use the charging adapter provided in the package to charge the unit's battery.
• DO NOT place the battery in direct sunlight.
• DO NOT continue charging the battery if it does not sufficiently charge within 2-3 hours. This may
cause the battery to overcharge, become hot, and potentially rupture or ignite.
• Only charge the battery within this temperature range: 32°F - 104°F (0°C to 40°C). Charging outside
of this range will cause the battery to become hot and potentially decrease in performance and
reduce the battery life expectancy.
