Layout of the combustion chamber (20 - 140 kW)
The replacement combustion chamber consists of the
combustion chamber stones and the associated seals.
Sizes 1-3 are built in the same way. Only the size
of the components varies slightly.

Technical illustrations
The technical illustrations in this documentation
represent a size 2 (63-90 kW) wood chip boiler with the
fuel discharge on the left side.
The illustrations are equally representative for the
sizes of the PE-K pellet boiler range, and for boilers
with the fuel discharge on the right side.
Assembly and installation only by qualified
specialist personnel
The assembly and installation may be performed
by specialist personnel with the corresponding
qualifications only.
WARNING!
Switch off the electricity to the boiler via the mains
switch
Switch off the electricity to the boiler via the mains
switch. This prevents injuries caused by switching
the boiler on inadvertently.
WARNING!
Burns caused by hot parts
Even after the boiler has been switched off,
there will still be a danger of burns caused
by the cleaning and maintenance covers of
the combustion chamber and the heat
exchanger, and by the combustion chamber door.
These parts cool off more slowly, so they may still be
hot.
Allow the boiler cool off long enough, or wear
appropriate protective clothing.
Opening the insulation door
Removing the combustion chamber door
Open the combustion chamber door, lift it slightly and
detach it.

Removing the combustion chamber cover
Remove the combustion chamber cover from the
secondary combustion chamber.
Remove the cover on the front
Remove the screws for securing the cover. Push the
cover on the front up slightly, detach and remove it.

Loosening the grub screw
Unscrew the grub screw about 1 cm (it secures the
front combustion chamber stone).

The illustration shows a boiler with the fuel
discharge on the left side. If the fuel discharge is
on the right side, the illustration is a mirror image and
the grub screw is located on the left side of the grate
drive.
Removing the seal
Remove the upper seal from the secondary
combustion chamber.
Loosen the four integrated seals at the end with a
screwdriver.
This reduces the tension between the
combustion chamber stones, and these can sub-
sequently be more easily removed.

Removing the combustion chamber stones
Slightly push the front and rear combustion chamber
stones apart with a jack, for example, so that the
stones can be released more easily. Preferably insert
a formwork panel (or a piece of wood).

Remove the left and right combustion chamber stones.
The combustion chamber stones on the opening
can be lifted with a suitable tool.
Due to the heavy weight of the combustion chamber
stones in sizes 3 (105-140 kW) and 4 (180-220 kW),
use a lifting crane if necessary.
Remove the jack and then remove the front and rear
combustion chamber stones.
Replacing the seals
Remove the seals under the combustion chamber
stones.
Clean the sealing surfaces and the combustion
chamber with a vacuum cleaner.

Installation
Insert the new seals from the delivery scope.
If necessary, attach the seals with a spray
adhesive. This facilitates easier assembly;
otherwise the seals may slip during installation of the
combustion chamber stones.
Inserting the combustion chamber stones
Before starting, check the integrated seals of the
new combustion chamber stones for damage.
Insert the front and rear combustion chamber stones
and slightly push them apart.
Insert the left and right combustion chamber stones.
Then remove the jack.
Inserting the seal
Use a flat piece of metal or a chisel held upside down
(head on the seal) and tap the seal gently into position
without damaging it.
Installing in reverse order
Firmly tighten the grub screw to prevent slippage of the
combustion chamber stones.

Re-install the combustion chamber cover, the cover
and the combustion chamber door.
