1. SAFETY
1.1 General safety instructions
SMELL OF GAS
• Switch off the boiler.
• Do not activate any electrical device (such as switching on the light).
• Put out any naked ames and open the windows.
• Call an Authorised Service Centre.
SMELL OF COMBUSTION FUMES
• Switch off the boiler.
• Open all the doors and windows to ventilate the room.
• Call an Authorised Service Centre.
FLAMMABLE MATERIAL
Do not use and/or store highly ammable material (thinners, paper, etc.) near the boiler.
SERVICING AND CLEANING THE BOILER
Switch off the boiler before working on it.
Once a year, have the device serviced by a qualied technician who should provide an undersigned maintenance certicate.
1.2 Recommendations
Only qualied technicians are authorised to service the device and system.
The appliance is not intended to be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities, or who lack
experience or knowledge, unless, through the mediation of a person responsible for their safety, they have had the benet
of supervision or of instructions on the use of the appliance.
Make sure that the device remains physically connected to the mains to ensure that the safety functions, like the pump anti-
block function and frost protection, continue to operate.
Do not leave any packaging (plastic bags, polystyrene, etc.) within the reach of children as they are a potential source of danger.
Periodically check the pressure of the system (minimum pressure 0.8 bar, recommended pressure 1-1.5 bar).
Do not remove or cover the identication plates and labels on the device. These must remain visible for the entire useful life
of the device.
Failure to observe the above will render the warranty null and void. Prior to commissioning, remove the protective plastic
coating from the boiler. Do not use any tools or abrasive detergents to do this as you may damage the painted surfaces.
1.3 Liabilities
1.3.1 RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PRODUCER

1.3.2 RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE INSTALLER
The installer is responsible for installation and commissioning of the device. The installer must follow the instructions below:
• Read and observe the instructions in the manuals provided with the device.
• Install the device in compliance with the laws and standards in force.
• Perform commissioning and all necessary checks.
• Explain installation to the user.
• With regard to maintenance, inform the user of the need to check the device regularly and to keep it in good working order.
• Provide the user with all the instruction manuals.

To guarantee successful installation, proceed as follows:
• Read and observe the instructions in the manuals provided with the device.
• Request the assistance of a qualied installer for installation and initial commissioning.
• Ask the installer to explain the operation of the gas boiler.
• Entrust any servicing and inspections to a qualied installer.
• Keep the manuals in good condition and in a safe place near the device.
This device is not intended to be used by people (including children) who have restricted mental, sensory or intellectual abilities
or who have a lack of technical knowledge. These people are allowed to use the device only if supervised or trained in use of the
device by a person responsible for their safety. Do not allow children to play with the device.
2. ABOUT THIS MANUAL
2.1 General
This manual is intended for the user of a PRIME boiler.
2.2 Symbols used
WARNING
Risk of damage to, or malfunction of the appliance. Pay special attention to the warnings concerning
danger to people.

Wait for the appliance to cool down before working on the parts exposed to heat.

4. DESCRIPTION OF THE PRODUCT
4.1 General description
This boiler has been designed to heat water to a temperature lower than boiling point at atmospheric pressure. It must be
connected to a central heating system and to a domestic hot water supply system according to its performance and power output.
The characteristics of this boiler are:
• low polluting emissions;
• high-performance heating;
• discharge of combustion products by means of a concentric exhaust connector or separate ue-air ducts;
• front control panel with display;
• minimal weight and size.
4.2 Operating principle
4.2.1 Combustion
The burner heats the heating water that circulates in the heat exchanger. When the temperature values of the combustion
gases are below the dew point (about 55 °C), the water vapour in the combustion gas condenses in the gas section of the heat
exchanger. Heat recovered during this condensation process (latent heat or condensation heat) is transferred to the heating water.
The cooled combustion gases ow out through the ue duct. The condensation water, instead, passes through a siphon.
4.2.2 Heating and production of domestic hot water.
Boilers for heating and the production of domestic hot water are tted with an integrated plate exchanger that heats the domestic
water. The heated water ows through a three-way valve to the heating system or to the plate heat exchanger. A ow detector
signals the opening of a hot water tap to the electronic board which turns the three-way valve to its hot water position and starts the
pump. The three-way valve is spring-loaded and requires electrical power only when it switches position. Priority is given to DHW.

6. OPERATION
6.1 List of parameters
In order to view/edit the list of parameters, connect the wireless interface to
the boiler via the X9 connector. Use the SERVICE TOOL software to interface
the portable computer (SERVICE) with the boiler.

6.2 Use of the control panel
BUTTONS AND KNOBS
The knob is for adjusting the CH setpoint between 25°C and 80°C:
• turn the knob clockwise to increase the temperature value and anticlockwise to decrease it.
• Use the knob to set the desired temperature value (setpoint). The display shows the setpoint set, which ashes for 5 seconds,
after which the delivery temperature is displayed.
• To disable central heating, turn the knob anticlockwise all the way round (the symbol disappears).
The knob is for adjusting the DHW setpoint between 35°C and 60°C:
• turn the knob clockwise to increase the temperature value and anticlockwise to decrease it.
• Use the knob to set the desired temperature value (setpoint). The display shows the setpoint set, which ashes for 5 seconds,
after which the heating water temperature is displayed (when using the DHW, the display shows the actual temperature of the
DHW).
• To disable the production of domestic hot water, turn the knob fully anticlockwise (the symbol disappears).
The "Initialisation procedure" occurs only during rst ignition of the boiler. This procedure involves a set of tests, after
which the system is automatically vented for a period of 5 minutes. To manually activate the function, press and hold RESET
for 5 seconds (once the function is active, it cannot be interrupted).
6.3 Start-up
To ignite the boiler correctly, proceed as follows:
• Check that the system pressure is correct (section 8.4).
• Power the boiler;
• Open the gas tap (yellow, positioned under the boiler).
Ignition procedure
When the boiler is powered, the following information appears on the display:
1. all symbols alight (1 second);
2. software version (1 second);
3. The message "InI" appears (for a few seconds);
4. All turns off (1 second);
5. The message "Fx.x" appears on the display. (2 seconds);
6. The message "Px.x" appears on the display. (2 seconds);
7. "OFF" appears (the knobs are fully rotated in the clockwise direction at the factory);
8. The boiler and heating system venting function starts. The text "(t17)" appears on the display and this phase takes 5
minutes (this function is enabled only during initial ignition).
At the end of the venting phase, the boiler is ready for operation.
• Turn the knob of the central heating circuit to set the required temperature of the system.
• Turn the knob of the DHW circuit to set the required temperature of the DHW.

6.4 Shut-down
To turn off the boiler, disconnect the electric power supply at the two-pole switch installed upstream of the boiler, and close the
gas tap.
In these conditions, the boiler is not protected against frost.
6.5 Frost protection
It is good practice to not drain the entire heating system as lling up with water again could cause unnecessary and harmful
scale to build up inside the boiler and the heating elements. If the boiler is not used during the winter and is therefore exposed
to the danger of frost, add some specic anti-freeze to the water in the system (e.g.: propylene glycol with corrosion and scale
inhibitors). The electronic boiler management system includes a “frost protection” function for the heating system which, when
ow temperature falls below 7 °C, operates the pump. If the temperature reaches 4 °C, the burner runs until the ow temperature
reaches 10 °C. The burner then turns off and the pump continues to run for 15 minutes.
The function is operative if: the boiler is electrically powered, there is gas, system pressure is normal and the boiler is not
blocked.
7. SETTINGS
7.1 Reading out measured values
Press the button to view information on operation of the boiler.
• press the button for 1 second to view the work mode (for example: "t.17" = Venting function being completed).
• press the button again for 1 second to view the operating sub-status or the relative work function (for example: "u.00" = Boiler
in stand-by).
• press the button again for 1 second to view the operating temperature for heating: the symbol ashes and the temperature
value in °C then appears.
• press the button again for 1 second to view the operating temperature for DHW: the symbol ashes, followed by the
temperature value in °C appears.
• press the button again for 1 second to view the power level between 0 and 100: the symbol ashes and the power level
appears.
The following 3 symbols are not used:
• press again for 1 second: the symbols and the value 0.0.0 appear;
• press again for 1 second: the symbols and the value 0.0.0 appear;
• press again for 1 second: the symbols and the value 0.0.0 appear;
To exit, press and hold the button for more than 3 seconds.
