Cleaning:

Eventually, you may wanttoreplace thislightfitting:
When your lightfitting comes tothe end ofit’slifeor you choosetoupdateor upgrade it
byreplacing it, pleasedo notdisposeofitwithyour normal household waste,please
recycle where facilitiesexist.When you need todisposeofthisfitting,check withyour
retailer or local authority for suitable options.Newregulationswill encourage the
recycling ofWastefromElectricaland ElectronicEquipment(European “WEEE
Directive”effectiveAugust 2005 ).
Lampreplacement:
>The LEDs built intoyour downlight havean average lifeexpectancyofmany times that of ordinary
lightbulbs and soit isnot likelythatyour downlight will failwithin the lifeofthe product.Ifthe light
does fail, you will need toreplacethe completeunit.

conductive(e.g.metallic surfaces).
Installation:
1) Check thatthe transformer youintend tousetopower your fitting isadequatelyrated for
the total number offittings you are installing and thatithasbeen installed in accordance
withall ofthe manufacturersinstructions.
2) Choosethe location for your new fitting and clip itin place.
3) Maketheconnection ofthe cable tothe transformer.Werecommend the useofan
Eterna Lighting transformer whichhassocketsdesigned toallowthe plug fitted toyour
light toplug directly in.
Note:Ifyouhaveanyothertransformerin whichthere isnoprovision forconnection
using the plug fitted toyour light, you will needtocutthe pins/plug off and usean
alternativemethod ofconnection.The LEDdownlightrequiresaD.C.power supplyand
the cables must be connected correctly:
Plain wire =-ve(negative)
Striped wire =+ve(positive)
Ifyour lightdoesnotoperatewhen thepower supplyhasbeen restored,reversethe
connections. Makeconnectionsusing aterminalblock,ensure thatthere are no strands
of wire protruding and wrap well withinsulating tape.
8) Restore the power and switchon.
