• If the booster doesn’t work even after checkng the ponts above, contact an authorzed techncal servce.
FAILURE CAUSE and RESOLUTION
Booster is not working
Check the electricity supply.
Ensure the fuses are good.
There may be no water in the reserve tank.
The thermal switch of the electrical panel is tripped (Press the Reset button).
The electric motor has burned out.
The municipal water is delivered at a sucient pressure.
The pressure drops suddenly and the pump activates frequently
Close the booster outlet valve. If the pressure is still dropping, it means the non-return valve is
not working. Replace it.
The air in the expansion tank is discharged. Call the service.
No water is being pumped even though the booster is working, and the motor
is getting hot
There may be air inside the pump. Press the o switch, open the air discharge plug on the pump,
fill it with water and discharge the air. Then close the plug, and turn on the booster.
There may be no water in the reserve tank. Do not run the booster before the tank is full.
There is an air leak in the suction line of the booster. Check.
After automatically stopping, the booster is not restarting even after the
pressure drops The pressure switch is not working. Replace it.
6. User-Performed Mantenance and Repar

7. Perodc Mantenance
The booster should go through mantenance at least once (1) a year by an authorzed techncal servce so that t can serve you longer wthout any problems.
Besdes ths regular mantenance, clean the dust accumulated on the electrcal motor usng a soft brush regularly. The dust accumulated on the motor may cause
the motor to overheat and burn out.
8. Connecton and Assembly
Ensure that your product s mounted by authorzed techncans n lne wth the nstallaton layout gven on the user manual. Call a techncal servce for startng-up
the product.
8.1. Locaton Selecton
• The product should be placed ndoors n a way that t s not exposed to external factors such as ran and frost.
• Leave at least 80cm empty space all around the product.
• Ensure that the dstance to the tank that the product wll prme water from s maxmum 10m.
• Mount the product frmly on a strong and flat concrete surface usng anchor bolts.
• Place the electrcal motor to a heght that enables protecton from flood.

- Booster suction pipe diameter should be smaller than the pump suction
nozzle diameter.
- If the booster sticks water from below ground level, suction should be
made by one level upper diameter pipe.
- Moreover, it is recommended to connect couplings to the suction and
pressure lines of the booster.

10. Ponts to Consder
• The booster should always prme water from a water tank or a well and t should not be drectly connected to the muncpal water system (In case the
muncpal supply s guaranteed).
• The booster nstallaton should be n lne wth the Layout 1 and Layout 2.
• The non-return valve should be placed before the pump.
• If the booster s performng deep well sucton (maxmum 4m), foot valve wth flter should be used at the end of sucton ppe. Foot valve wth flter should be
mnmum 60cm above the bottom of the well.
• The flters fllng wth drt and blockng the pump’s sucton damages the pumps when they are not cleaned; therefore, usng of a flter at the sucton lne s not
recommended. Instead put the flter on the ppe that the water s comng from muncpal supply.
• All the connectons n the sucton lne should be tghtly sealed. Otherwse, ar wll leak nto the sucton ppe causng the sucton to fal or to be below the
capacty.
• If possble, the sucton ppe should be tested wth pressurzed water.
• The ppe of the sucton lne should be as smooth and as short as possble, and use of excessve jonts should be avoded.
• A valve should be placed to the nlet and outlet of the booster. These are requred to cut o the connecton of the water wth the booster n case of falure.
11. Pressure Swtch Calbraton
• Do not change the pressure swtch that s arranged at the factory. Adjust the startng and stoppng pressures of the pressure
swtch that s de-calbrated due to a problem, followng the nstructons on the table n Secton 5.2.
• Pressure swtch calbraton s made accordng to the value measured on the manometer under pressure.
• Startng pressure (pressure derence) s set usng the Screw B on the swtch (see the pcture). The startng pressure s dropped
by rotatng the screw clockwse and s ncreased by rotatng t counterclockwse.
• Stoppng pressure s set usng the Screw A on the swtch. The stoppng pressure s ncreased by rotatng the screw clockwse
and s decreased by rotatng t counterclockwse.

11 www.etna.com.tr
12. Electrcal Installaton
The electrcal connectons of the booster should be made by an authorzed electrcan. Supply lne should be ensured to be sucent, checkng the voltage and
amperage values (see table n secton 5.2).
• The electrcal motor of the booster should be protected usng a thermal overload swtch. Smlarly, the supply lne fuses should be compatble wth the motor
power. Otherwse, the motor may burn out.
• Check the ground connecton of the product. Ths s a lfe-crtcal ssue.
13. Intal Operaton
• Check water supply nstallaton and electrcty connectons. Check the fuses.
• If the booster s prmng water from a water tank, open the sucton lne valves and release the ar by the ar dscharge plug. Wat untl the water reaches the
pump. Close the ar dscharge plug when water reaches to the pump.
• If the booster s suckng water from a well, open the ar dscharge plug to fll the sucton lne wth water and then close the plug.
• Press the swtch to start-up the motor.
• Wat untl the pump supples water to the booster tank and to the mans. The booster wll stop automatcally when t reaches the pressure ndcated on the
label.
• Open a tab and wat for the pressure to drop on the manometer. The booster automatcally starts up n the lower operaton pressure.
• Recalbrate the pressure settngs f the booster s workng outsde the pressure range specfed on the label. You may need to do ths few tmes before the
booster starts workng rght.
